ForHogfishandGrouper4(STT/STJ),Grouper5andMistygrouper(STX),andCubera snapper(PR)theimprovedreportingwasdeterminedbecausethespecieswerenoton thereportingformsduringtheperiodusedtosettheACLs(seetablebelow).
ForGreatBarracuda(PR),moreinvestigationisrequiredtounderstandthereporting dynamicsofthefishery. Thereportingformsonlyhavethegeneralcategoryof “barracuda.” GreatBarracudaisapelagicstockmanagedunderanACT. IftheACTis exceeded,NMFSmustconsultwiththeCaribbeanFisheryManagementCouncilto determineappropriatecorrectiveaction.
