Conservation In Caribbean Nature we care much for ecological conservation of our environment. Solar panels, water recycling, revegetation, etc., etc.. An example of how ecological conservation project is consistent with development can be found in the way we built the trails. The island had been uninhabited and there was lot of dead branches and tree trunks that did not rot, preventing the growth of other new plants.
With a mentality of 50 years ago, anybody would have proceeded to collect wood and burn it in big piles with subsequent contribution to global warming and the disappearance of a lot of organic matter. We have instead used that huge amount of organic material as a support base for the trails throughout the island. These logs that do not rot easily create a network of trails below the road, allowing the natural flow of rainwater.

Suite Floor Plan
Bocas archipelago is formed by 9 large islands, about 50 small islands and 200 mangroves.
The archipelago of “Bocas del Toro is located northeast of Panama, near the border with Costa Rica and was discovered by Christopher Columbus on October 6, 1502. It was resting place of English pirates and later in the nineteenth century, prosperous place to trade cocoa and bananas, to become in the early twentieth century the home of the first headquarters of the United Fruit Company, during those banana prosperous times. Today there are the restored old houses. Colon Island which is the most popular with its international airport, is where you will find the majority of hotels and services.. There is a lot of fun in Bocas, both for those seeking an exotic island life, and enthusiast naturists. The Bocas nightlife is also very popular among locals and tourists. Bocas is also well known among divers and birdwatchers. It has pristine beaches and many of them offer good waves for surfing.

What do you think about tourism in Bocas del Toro? We believe that tourism is now the main source of income in the district of Bocas del Toro. We consider the possibility of extending to different populations the so called community tourism, which consists in highlighting values of tourism interest in each community, both the nature and the local agricultural production.
It takes an intense training program at all levels to create service awareness in the people. People want to participate in tourism growth but we need a lot of training so they can access and have a labor market inclusion.
At what point is tourism at this time?
We know that your project Caribbean Nature is helping through the “Regional School for Hotel Training” and is basic that the municipality be constantly informed in order to support each other.
Tourism in Bocas is at its highest stage of the last five years. We are one of the top destinations to visit in Panama, due to our beautiful beaches, reefs and unspoiled nature.
How can the municipality support tourism projects like ours of Caribbean Marine Nature Eco-Luxury Resorts and Spa on the Island Blue Dolphin?
What kind of tourism do you think is best for the future of Bocas del Toro?
We can and we want to support this and other hotel developments knowing well the scope of projects for proper disclosure and making joint efforts with the company in order to extend these economic projections to our entire community of Bocas del Toro.
Given the fragility of our natural environment, which still remains virtually untouched, we opt for a high-level selective tourism with ecosystem conservation programs.

Panama City is an interesting blend of old Spain with cosmopolitan and modern America, in an international environment
Panama City, the capital, is a beautiful city. At its center it is modern, full of glass skyscrapers, shopping malls, banks, restaurants and bars. Outside it is old and historic. San Felipe and Casco Antiguo are lovely places with cobblestone streets and walkways. There you can take a rest in front of statues of heroes of the past. In the main square you can visit the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Museum of the Panama Canal. A few blocks away are the Fortress of San Felipe and the square of France, where historic negotiations took place between Panama and France regarding the Canal, and later between Panama and the United States.
From the promenade you can see views of the Bridge of the Americas and the entrance of the Panama Canal on one side and on the other the modern city of Panama. Small restaurants, clubs and bars make Old Town a nice place to visit. It is also interesting to visit the ruins of the first city of Panama Viejo founded in 1519. Panama City offers all the amenities of a modern cosmopolitan city with 5 star hotels, international casinos, renowned international restaurants and huge shopping centers to enjoy shopping. Be amazed by the number of famous brand stores that can be found. Also the nightlife is hectic, clubs and bars await you to enjoy unforgettable nights.
