Dermatologist, Dr. Shakima Stoutt-Ottley, is the Chief Executive Officer and Medical Director at BrivaDERM. She leads a well-trained and experienced dermatology and aesthetic team which includes a Dermatology Nurse and Paramedical Aesthetician. Dr. Stoutt is always a burst of positive energy and goes the extra mile to ensure the efficient diagnosis and treatment of all skin, hair and nail conditions; both simple and complex. She is experienced and skilled in dermatologic and skin cancer surgery, and continues to add innovation to her practice in cosmetic dermatology.

Dr. Stoutt-Ottley completed her postgraduate dermatology training at the Boston University School of Medicine and holds her Specialty Certification in Dermatology since 2015.

Her zeal for dermatology really started immediately once she completed her Medical Degree at the University of the West Indies Mona Jamaica in 2011. Thereafter her journey in dermatology took off during her internship at the Dermatology & Infectious Diseases Unit at the Bahamas Public Hospitals Authority.

Since completing her postgrad and during the years of 2015 to 2017, Dr. Stoutt-Ottley simultaneously served as sole Dermatologist at two different private facilities; which included the role of traveling Dermatologist to the country of Antigua & Barbuda. She also served as sole Public Dermatologist and Director of Dermatology & Woundcare Services with the Public Health Authority of the British Virgin Islands. Her relationship with the public health sector is always open with her willingness to provide in-patient consultations whenever she is called upon.

However, in 2017, Dr. Stoutt-Ottley decided to act on her aspirations to provide a superior level of dermatologic services within the British Virgin Islands. BrivaDERM is a testament to her determination. Under her guidance, BrivaDERM continues to evolve to meet the needs of the British Virgin Islands and the wider Caribbean, and remains current with the growing industry of aesthetics. In 2021, she took her practice to a new level with the launch Brevive Skincare.
