Perfect day for a sleigh ride

Saturday, Feb. 25, marked the 15th Sedgewick Ag. Societyʼs annual Cutter Rally. The morning dawned with light snow and moderate temperatures. The event drew a good number of participants, with both local drivers and visitors, including one team from Kindersley, Saskatchewan. RCMP investigating criminal harassment in Forestburg RCMP got a call on Friday, Feb. 10, that a suspicious vehicle was reported parked out side of a rural property in Flagstaff County. The vehicle was later found in Strome. Vehicle was determined not stolen. Also on Feb. 10 a fraud by phone was reported to the Killam RCMP. The complainant was contacted by a company saying they were a money recovery business out of the UK. They stated they had recovered money that the complainant was previously scammed out of. File is still under investigation. Also on Friday, a Break and Enter to a residence was reported in Amisk. Miscellaneous items were reported stolen. Killam RCMP Members attended. No investigational avenues or suspects
have been identified at this time. On Saturday, Feb. 11, a drone was reported flying over a rural residence. Killam RCMP attended and patrols were made. Nothing was located. Also that day an Assault was reported in Sedgewick. Killam RCMP Members attended. Subject was arrested and released on conditions to not attend the address of and not to have contact with the complainant. On Sunday, Feb. 12, a Break and Enter in progress was reported in Forestburg. The complainant called saying she could see two males in the neighbour’s residence with flashlights. Killam RCMP Members attended but the Subjects were gone. A Member called the property owner who advised he had been at the
residence. Later on Sunday, two Suspicious Vehicles were reported at a residence in Forestburg. Killam RCMP Members patrolled and witnessed the two vehicles at the property. Vehicle information was reviewed and neither vehicle was believed to be stolen. No criminal offence found. On Monday, Feb. 13, a call was received by police to report copper wire casings dumped on a range road. A Killam RCMP Member called and spoke to the complainant who was calling to have it removed. No investigational avenues are available at this time. Later on Monday a report of an abandoned trailer was made to Killam RCMP. A Killam Member attended the
scene, the Registered Owner was notified, and the trailer was towed. On Tuesday, Feb. 14, a report of a fire in the garbage at the Diplomat Trout Pond was called in to police. Killam RCMP Members attended and the fire was still smoldering. It appeared to be wire casings burning. Police have no investigational avenues at this time. Later on Tuesday an online fraud was reported. In this instance, the complainant realized that fraud was occurring and stopped it before it came out of the bank. No money was obtained and the bank notified. Also on Tuesday, a report claiming criminal harassment in Forestburg was made to Killam RCMP. Continued on Page 31
