The Heisler Fire Department members held a surprise barbeque honouring Past Chief Joe Martz, Past Deputy Chief Mickey Heisler, and Training Officer Reid Rorem, inviting fire department members

and their families to celebrate this past Saturday, June 11, at the Heisler Fire Hall. New Fire Chief Shawn Badry said he wanted to hold an event to honour the three, but says he knew that none of them were big on public recognition. “So we made it a surprise.”
