ANOTHER HIT FOR CURTAIN CALL THEATRE Love, Lies, and the Doctor’s Dilemma debuts to loads of laughter LESLIE CHOLOWSKY PHOTO
Love, Lies, and the Doctorʼs Dilemma opened this weekend in Forestburg; the latest offering from Curtain Call Theatre. This yearʼs cast features some familiar faces from the past, with Nathan Lunty and Eugene Gustafson returning, as well as regulars Kara Pearcey, Pam Sherman, and Nancy Ambler, along with newcomer Tristan Nelson in a comedy thatʼll leave you thinking twice about telling your next little white lie. Above: Lunty, as Vinny the Enforcer, isnʼt quite fooled by Pearceyʼs act, while Gustafson attempts to assure the gangster that Nelson is definitely not on the premises, and not, certainly, right in front of him. Camrose MLA Jackie Lovely travelled to Forestburg on Wednesday, March 8, to make some very special presentations. While there at the village fire hall, Lovely presented Kim Cannady, former Flagstaff Regional Emergency Services Coordinator, Galahad Fire Chief, and a Forestburg fire fighter. Cannady was nominated by the Alberta Fire Chiefs Association, Lovely said, as she presented the medal. She also made a number of other special presentations honouring local firefighters from throughout the Flagstaff County region. Left: Kim Cannady and Camrose MLA Jackie Lovely. See full story Page 10.
