CELEBRATION DAY FOR TOFIELD GRADS Moush John Editor
Tofield School sent out their Class of 2022 with a ‘normal’ graduation ceremony on Friday, May 13, hosted at the Tofield School gymnasium, as a record number of grads walked the stage. After a two-year hiatus, grads participated in a regular event, followed by a banquet at the Tofield Community Hall. The emcee was Melissa Korpan, who was the main organizer and co-
ordinator for the ceremony and the entire event. The ceremony started at 3 p.m. with grads being introduced onto the stage. This was followed by various congratulatory messages from BRSD trustee Lyle Albrecht, BRSD Superintendent Dr. Rita Marler (read by Principal Janice Muench), Mayor Deb Dueck, and Reeve Kevin Smook. The event also included speeches by this year’s valedictorians – Bane Janzen and Carys Gomez-Jones. The Last Will and Testament was
presented by Marshal Korpan and Eric Malin, while the Thank You and Tributes were read by Ben Woodruff. There was a slide show of all 41 grads, and the event closed with Principal Janice Muench and Asst. Principal Chad Kendall presenting grad certificates to the students. The 41 grads who made the Class of 2022 included – Brooke Anderson, Cody Anderson, Julie Anderson, Andrew Baron, William Baron, Rayanne Beatson, Lacey Beaulac, Lace Fleck Cronkhite, Carys Gomez-Jones,
Amber Good, Randi Greiner, Katalin Hemperger, Julia Jackson, Bane Janzen, Marshal Korpak, Quinn Kugler, Dayun Kyong, Isabella Lowe, Shaylom Magneson, Eric Malin, Conner Mandrusiak, Jacob Mank, Abby Match, Makenna Moos, Hayley Myers, Yusuf Emre Oz, Brendon Prince, Ericka Rickett, Taylor Roberts, Shamma Sayed, Karder Schultz, Kara Senft, Kaelyn Sideroff, Carter Svenson, Shyanne Wapen, Ashlee Warawa, Noah Whitford, Knox Winder, James Wipf, Ben Woodruff, and Kien Yuha.
