Ryley elected their new councillor in a by-election on Monday, Feb. 28, electing Brian Ducherer over Donna Pitre, 78-44. Ducherer who was not elected in the fall election last year said he was thrilled to win a seat again, giving him the opportunity once more to

One of the many reasons for running in this by-election was to ensure that any questions or concerns that may arise from Mu-

nicipal Affairs are answered truthfully, and taken care of appropriately. I want to ensure that the council hears the residents’ concerns, as well as communicates its actions and plans transparently.” He explained that his priorities in the past, present, and the future have been to upgrade the ‘crumbling’ infrastruc-
