HI, I’M CARLA MENDIRE Carla Mendire is a young Architect graduate from the Rafael Urdaneta University, Venezuela. Working in the united states since 2015 she has had the opportunity to work in the creation of different commercial and residential projects including Camden Brickell, Baru Urbano Miami, One Ocean Condominium Miami Beach and Brickell City Center 2019. With a degree in Architecture, an Interior Design Consulting Certificate, and a Training in Project Management Planning, Carla has the ability to work in the different stages of a project, from the brainstorming phase going to the planning and digitalization process, through the supervision and final installations.

DESCRIPTION Zamabar is a project inspired by the rustic charm and raw natural beauty of the mayan riviera, in it’s warm colors and mixed textures. The idea was to incorporate this admosphere in the middle of the brickell area in the city of Miami, an area that is known to be crowded almost 24/7.

The whole proposal is based on this concept, the furniture in rattan material, the fabrics in earth colors, the incorporation of tropical plants in the outdoor areas, the accessories in different materials to give variety to the space and in this way create a design with balance and unity.

CAMDEN VISCONTI DESCRIPTION Camden owns a portfolio of apartment communities across the united states, Camden Visconti is one of it and it needed a total renovation for 2019. The proposal was the complete change of the finishes and the furniture to give a less heavy environment to the common areas and to the leasing offices.

Minor changes were made in the architecture of the project that were guided by the GC. The decoration was focused on giving a more balanced environment, was done in very warm yet natural colors, some furnitures were reused, changing the fabrics for more sophisticated tones.

DESCRIPTION One Ocean South Beach is one of today’s most amazing condominium development projects in South Florida. This apartment was remodeled mainly to be rented without any furniture, Therefore the challenge in this project was to create a cozy atmosphere by only changing the finishes in the walls, floors and ceilings, the general lighting of the apartment, the incorporation of high end appliances and some decoration accessories. The renderings offer a general look of how the apartment could look once furnished.

DESCRIPTION Camden Las Olas offers the best in urban luxury living, situated in the middle of downtown Fort Lauderdale. The renovation started two years ago with the lobby area, the fourth floor hallway and the residents lounge only, but quickly camden decided go further with the renovation of more areas.

Camden is one of the largest community apartment chains in the United States. For this project of Camden Atlantic the biggest challenge was to create a cohesive design for all areas of the building avoiding monotony in each of the spaces. A complete design was proposed for the Lobby area, Leasing offices, Mail room, Resident lounge, Gym and Wellbeats area, Co-Work space, Meeting room, Restrooms, Pool deck area, Game room, Dog wash, Elevator landing and Corridors from floos from 2 to 8.

For the Resident Lounge area the priority was to create a relaxed, calm and welcoming environment using comfortable lounge chairs and cozy sofas. Creating unity by using wood paneling throughout the space and accentuating one of the walls with a subtle but exciting wallpaper.

The mini kitchen area creates its own statement. It is an area to share a nice cup of coffee next to the mini library that was proposed for residents who prefer casual reading.

gym and wellbeats The design proposal for the gym and wellbeats area is quite energetic. The shapes and colors of the carpet floor tilde incorporate the dynamism necessary for this type of space. The large windows are the main architectural focal point and we tried to support those vertical lines with the tambour wall paneling to add more height and a bold active vibe.

corridors and elevators landing For these areas of the project the main idea was to keep the spaces interesting even though these areas are designated mainly to be transitory spaces. To achieve this the walls were accentuated with color, adding lighting with curved shapes and brass finishes to give that chic touch to the area. Curved shapes in the walls were proposed for the elevator landing for floors 2 to 8 to soften the space preventing it from being too stiff. Camden Atlantic is currently under construction...

DESCRIPTION The Fontecilla Residence is a property located in the Upper East Side of Miami in a neighborhood called Morningside, characterized by its 1920s and 1930s Art deco and Mediterranean style homes.

The main focus of this renovation is to update the windows and install new impact windows to have more protection from the natural elements, lower the cost of insurance and add more value to the house by updating the property.
