CARLA JANINE BATOON RECENTLY ACQUIRED HER BACHELOR’s DEGREE IN ARCHITECTURE AT MAPUA UNIVERSITY, MANILA. SHE IS NOW ENTERING THE REAL WORLD OF THE ARCHITECTURE INDUSTRY AS SHE BELIEVES SHE CAN CONTRIBUTE TO AND GROW HER SKILLS IN THE FUTURE AS AN ARCHITECT.
DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS
FUNCTIONALITY
The wall is integrated with greenery plants which delivers a higher amount of oxygen.
FORM
Inspired by curvy structures forming like a tree shed which adds aesthetic value.
INNOVATION
The roof has an innovative feature which is rotatable for shedding sunrays and rainwater p urp o ses .
AESTHETICS
The whole composition of the design is congruent to the modern environment of Manila.
STRENGTH
The materials are engineered, extremely durable, long-lasting and it is low maintenance
SECURITY AND SAFETY
It is equipped with CCTV monitored by security
DESIGN CONCEPT
A Green Architecture Concept for Manila. The design concept is mainly inspired by a curvy leaf-like or a cap-like cantilever located at the Philam Life Building, United Nations Manila. The function and purpose of Greentree Shed is to achieve a greener environment and to allow a fresher air for the city’s future. This also adds a healthier lives and psychological needs for humankind and the society.

DESIGN CONCEPT PROJECT OBJECTIVES
THE MAIN CONCEPT IS TRULY INSPIRED WITH A SPIRAL PUBLIC RESTROOM WITH AN OPEN PLAN KEEPING A CLEANER PUBLIC RESTROOM AND TO MAINTAIN A PROPER HYGIENE AMONG USERS. A WELL-DESIGNED PUBLIC

TO ERADICATE DULLNESS AND DARK SPACES TO THE EXISTINGPUBLICRESTROOMS. TO REINFORCED THE USED OF NATURAL MATERIALS AND TO USE A GLASS WINDOWS WHICH ALLOW NATURAL AWARENESS IN KEEPING THE RESTROOM CLEAN. TO ESTABLISH A WELL-DESIGNED RESTROOM WHICH LIGHTINGS, AFFECTING THE USER'S MAINLY FOCUS IN PROMOTING A VIRUS-FREE ENVIRONMENT AND TO MAINTAIN A PROPER HYGIENE AMONG USERS.

FORM DEVELOPMENT
DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS
Designed with a curvy spiral flow to keep boundaries for each restroom's main way which also add an aesthetic value. Thus, it prioritizes an easy access CHARACTER forPWD restroom on itscenter plan.
The design is highly beneficial to the building s location plan wherein users may feel the essence of a clean and SOCIAL comfortablerestrooms.
Mainly ventilated and installed with an educational audio, reminding the users to keep the building clean. The fixtures and essentials are all wireless to HYGIENE promote ahands-free environment.
The restroom has an innovative feature where it is installed with a wireless door in each toilet cubicles It is also captivated with automatic light sensor INNOVATION forsavingenergy.
