1st DAY: Sirolo

• Breakfast • Guided tour along the Rocchette: the patrolling routes of the Loreto basilica-fortress and guided visit to the "Antico Tesoro" museum of Loreto • Guided wine tasting tour to the prestigious Cantine Garofoli, wine producers of "Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi" and "Rosso Conero" including complimentary first class bottle of wine.

Arrival in Sirolo in the afternoon. This charming fishers village has been practically carved on the white limestone rocks of the Conero mount. Check-in at the accommodation services located near the narrow alleys of the historic centre, near the fabulous natural balcony on top of the Conero cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean and close to the Park of Sirolo. Suggestion for dinner: ▶ La Torre Restaurant, in the close small town of Numana.

2nd DAY: Sirolo

In order to reach the beaches of San Michele and Urbani, guests might take the stunning paths down the Conero mount through nature to reach the sea or use the transfer services available from June to September with departures from the hotel or the centre of Sirolo. Suggestion for lunch: ▶ Da Silvio restaurant on the beach of San Michele, or Sassi Neri restaurant with excellent fish menu options and stunning panoramic view of the Mediterranean.

3rd DAY: Loreto and wine tasting

A day dedicated to some hidden features of Loreto: after 500 years, the Rocchette are available again. These were once the patrolling routes of the fortress of Loreto and give us a better picture of the story of this basilicafortress construction. These paths above the frescoed vault of the basilica offer visitors the possibility of a closer and more complete appreciation of stunning views, hidden architectonic wonders and details from the top. The tour continues with a guided visit of a museum: the Antico Tesoro, which is located within the Apostolic Palace. Eventually, a wine-tasting aperitif at the prestigious Cantina Garofoli (well-known local wine producers) where two excellent Marchigian wines will be sipped for a tasting experience: Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi and Rosso Conero. Local landmark: ▶ In Loreto lies most famous Holy House of Nazareth Shrine. A world's architectonic relic of unique value for pilgrimages.

4th DAY: Portonovo

Maraviglia invites guests to explore a gem of the Conero cliffs: Portonovo Bay. This location offers its white sandy shores made of limestone from the Conero with gorgeous natural Mediterranean flora framing the bay. Also, on the same shores: the historic Guard Tower, the Napoleonic Fortress,

and the lovely Romanic church Santa Maria of Portonovo Conero blessings: ▶ Do not miss to try 'moscioli': most delicious mussels of the Conero Riviera! ▶ A voyage excursion by sailboat, boat or ferry-boat to reach the hidden marvels of the Conero cliffs, such as Le Due Sorelle (the 'two sisters') promontories amid the sea.

There are some excursions to nearby villages and events showing the historic local traditions and which help visitors to catch the authentic wonders of these lands. Do not miss: Offagna, where in the last week of July, it is possible to have fun taking part of the fascinating atmosphere of past times along its colourful streets with plenty of jugglers and musicians. Recanati, Giacomo Leopardi's birthplace and family house. Numana, with its splendid Antiquarium Statale with plenty of archaeological riches belonging to the Piceni (original settlers of these lands, they lived here during the first millenium B.C.) including a princess's burial outfit. Camerano with its huge underground maze: the Grotte di Camerano ('the caves of Camerano') underneath the small town itself.

Maraviglia invites guests to spend a pleasant evening in Senigallia. A lively historical coastal town offering history and art including one of Della Rovere fortresses and the famous Rotonda, a stunning round building on piers above sea level cited even by Fred Buongusto in one of his songs. Local feature: ▶ The Summer Jumboree Festival taking place in Senigallia; this year from the 4th to the 12th of August, is the most important international festival dedicated to music, culture and fashion of the 50s.

On top of the uncontaminated peaks of the Sibillini mountains, in the heart of Marche, nature offers its most regenerating magic. The warmth of localsâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; hospitality in the foothills and surrounding valleys determines the immensity of nature and the peace of everyday life rhythms in this part of Italy. With excellent local dishes coming from unique traditions and secrets, the Sibillini are an harmonious combination of landscapes, culture and flavours across the legendary lands of prophetess Sibilla.

• Visit of the enchanting village of Visso and guided tour in 2 traditional farm, including tasting of Sibillini’s typical products (“pecorino” cheese and “ciauscolo” salami) and traditional lunch in a country house. • Truffle hunting experience with expert hunter and dog , including lunch. • Guided naturalistic excursion, including outdoor picnic.

Arrival and check-in at the hotel. An incredible renovated historic building offering the highest quality hospitality to make visitors feel comfortable. After breakfast guests set off on an entertaining truffle hunting adventure with a truffle hunter and his/her dog. They will lead visitors on the trail of the precious Sibillini’s Black Truffle. Amazed by the chance of finding treasures, excursionists will have the possibility of enjoying its taste in a gratifying dish of tagliolini pasta. After this exciting dive into the Italian cuisine, guests could crown the day with a visit to Camerino. This location offers plenty of fortresses, castles and towers and also stunning painting collections belonging to the XV century.

3rd DAY: Ciauscolo and pecorino tasting tour in Visso

There is no better place than Visso to taste Marchigian ciauscolo (very antique traditional spreading salami) or the typical Sibillini’s pecorino (goat cheese). Unspoilt rich lands and fresh Mediterranean air give outstanding genuine flavours. Early, after breakfast, the day begins with a guided tour along the most traditional and antique tracks of Sibillini herds. Later, the lovely hamlet of Cupi. Here, Sandra and Beniamino will be waiting to make visitors try their fresh ricotta cheese and, possibly, they will even show their ricotta production procedures. Later, the Macereto Sanctuary: renaissance style superb architectural complex. From here, the tour continues towards the enchanting Visso, famous for its ciauscolo production. Giorgio, one of the proudest ‘guardians’ of the traditional production of ciauscolo will be showing guests the invaluable elaboration secrets at his farm centre. Then, a guided tour around the borough of Visso and unscheduled free time to spend at one’s own leisure. We suggest do not miss the chance of reading great Leopardi’s most famous poem: “Infinity” from his own original manuscript at the Civic Museum. Lunch will take place in agriturismo, where visitors will have the chance to taste vincisgrassi (a rural kind of Marchigian lasagne) and other traditional dishes. Return to the hotel in the afternoon.

4th DAY: Naturalistic excursion

On this fourth day the itinerary focuses on the exploration of natural surroundings. Maraviglia has organised a 5 hours’ guided naturalistic Camerino Pievebovigliana Visso

Destinations will depend upon season and they may include: Ragnolo grass lawn are spectacular sceneries since the beginning of spring when the surrounding mountains have their peaks still covered by snow; later in summer when flowering begins, a colourful spectacular natural show starts. The Lame Rosse (“the red blades”) and the Canyon of Fiastrone (ideal for summer), are exciting excursions through natural high rocky walls and lush vegetation. In winter an excursion experience on these lands is as well exciting with snow rackets or a sledge.

5th DAY: Optional excursion to Pievebovigliana

On the fifth day there is a reinvigorating excursion suggested by Maraviglia. After breakfast, it would be an excellent choice to visit Pievebovigliana, a picturesque village on an Apennine hillside. Typical Mediterranean chestnut woods where to enjoy a walk at one’s own leisure. Incredible antique herd paved paths belonging to old transhumance routes. Lunch time: Maraviglia suggests some rewarding relaxation moments at a typical agro-tourist centre in Roccamania where guests can have lunch under one of the biggest and oldest oaks in Marche.

It offers the priceless sight of wonderful deers in the wild.

7th DAY: Unscheduled activities

The Sibillini mountains reserve means absolute soothing relaxation. Horse riding or mountain biking are perfect alternatives to visit these wonderful landscapes. Canoeing on the Fiastra lake or ice skating on Ussita ice rink are also available options to enjoy nature in a different way. In winter skiing becomes an option as well, in Frontignano or on the Prata mount or on the Ragnolo grass lawn.

After breakfast guests may set off for a visit to the renaissance splendour of Urbino, the city of great Raffaello (he was born here). Ducal Palace houses some of the most emblematic renaissance masterpieces by Raffaello, Tiziano, Piero della Francesca and Paolo Ucello and it has been declared cultural heritage patrimony by UNESCO. Private guided tour is possible. The tour may continue round the alleys of the historic centre and up the Fortress of Albornoz. We suggest completing this tour with a visit to Urbania. Here, the renaissance genius has been kept in the form of renaissance majolica. The techniques of the centuries-old craft are being kept intact in Urbania and visitors will be delighted to watch craftspeople at work in their workshops.

3rd DAY: San Bartolo Hills and Gradara Castle

After breakfast Maraviglia suggests a breathtaking tour along the panoramic road of San Bartolo: guests will enjoy amazing views of the Adriatic and the beautiful natural surroundings of the San Bartolo Mount. Visitors will have a chance to admire the nobility villas which were built in this area at the time of the Sforza and Della Rovere families, such as Villa Imperiale (XV and XVI centuries). Eventually, there lies Gradara! When visiting the castle of Gradara, guests are immediately fascinated by the wrapping striking beauty of the legendary setting of Paolo and Francesca’s love story. Their passionate and tragic love has been immortalized by Dante Alighieri in his Divine Comedy. Arrival in Matelica and check-in at Villa Collepere, a refined country house with an outdoor swimming pool which originally -in the XVII century- used to be a hunting lodge. The wonderful floor-to-ceiling window panels of the villa overlook the stunning greenery of the surrounding hills and their adorable vineyards.

5th DAY: Frasassi Caves, Natural Reserve of Fiastra and wine-tasting

After breakfast, the most adventurous of all excursions may begin: the Frasassi caves in Genga. This karstic complex is one of the largest ones in Europe. Newfound sensations of complete awe will arise amid emerald creeks, streams and small falls within small and big caverns; huge stalactites and stalagmites inside unbelievably enormous caves. Ticket access is available on request. Those in search of relaxing strolls amid milennial history may find the perfect alleys and streets around Macerata. Here, the Palazzo Ricci museum houses the works of XX century’s famous artists such as Giorgio de Chirico, Giacomo Balla, Ivo Pannaggi. For those in search of Mediterranean greenery, a walk around the exciting natural reserve circumscribing the impressive Romanic Abbey of Fiastra, near Macerata, will provide most rewarding relaxation. Unspoilt nature can be explored and admired along signalled paths around the woods. On request, the abbey and its cloisters can be visited with a guided tour which will lead guests to the most hidden corners and secrets inside these antique constructions. The tour may continue with a wine-tasting into one of the most striking and suggestive winery estates in Marche: Il Pollenza. Dinner will be waiting at Le Case gourmet restaurant.

6th DAY: Shopping tour and Ascoli Piceno

Breakfast and check-out. In this suggested itinerary, guests set off for Ascoli Piceno. On the way to the city of Ascoli Piceno, Maraviglia suggests visiting the fashion business cluster located between the cities of Civitanova Marche and Fermo. Some of the most famous Italian shoe producers are situated here: Tod’s, Hogan, Prada and many others will be offering their best “Made in Italy” collections and sales with most convenient prices. Visitors will have the possibility of doing this tour with a personal shopper. Arrival in Ascoli Piceno and check-in. The hotel is a few steps away from Piazza del Popolo, one of the most beautiful squares of Italy.

7th DAY: Ascoli Piceno and Offida

The city of Ascoli Piceno is known among Italians as the “100 towers city”. This

most ancestral settlement has plenty of architectural and art riches including roman, medieval, gothic and renaissance constructions. Here, the white tones and shades of travertine stone are remarkable feature of the city. When strolling around the squares, alleys and narrow streets of this ancestral city, visitors will have the chance to come across Latin or vulgar Latin inscriptions on the door architraves of the oldest buildings. They are proverbs, old sayings and mottos written on the second half of the XV century when the city of Ascoli Piceno enjoyed one of the most magnificent and rich cultural phase. Guests may want, can tour round the city to understand these inscriptions with a tour guide who will lead them into their meanings and stories. Lunch time: we suggest choosing one of the typical wine bar/restaurants in Offida and trying some of the most delicious Italian meals including the inevitable Ascolan olives. In Offida the art of bobbin lace is an antique hand craft. It is common to see Italian ladies working at their bobbins in the streets using techniques which have been handed down from generation to generation. A day completely dedicated to the photography course. The setting will vary according to the chosen tour and to the season. After breakfast you will meet the photographer Luca and you will get to the first destination (with your own vehicle). You will attend the first theory lesson and the landscape photographic techniques. You’ll learn that taking a photo first of all means to connect yourself with the scenery and wait for the right moment. Lunch not included and afternoon to be spend taking photos. You will be able to practice the theory of composition: correct use of filters, light, how to choose the right place to take a wonderful photo. Return in the evening. Dinner not included.

3rd DAY:

Meeting with Luca and departure for the second destination. The Fiastra Abbey in Chiaravalle is one of the best preserved Cistercian abbeys in Italy. A real jewel of Romanesque architecture among a gentle countryside crossed by long paths for relaxing walks. A walk among the flowering uplands

“Freewheeling” among the ruins of Urbs Salvia and the Abbey of Fiastra

This tour is an exploration through colours and scents of Piani di Ragnolo large balcony, almost touching the two main mountains that provide a complete overview of the Sibillini North Mountain Range. You will be accompanied by the numerous colours of the surrounding landscape in the period of flowering of daffodils, orchids, buttercups, gentians and many other species. The atmosphere will be even more magical at sunset.

The best way to discover the hidden lands of Fiastra Abbey is to get on the bicycle seat and pedal to explore the whole of its territory. The excursion starts from the scenic “Brancosina” route to immediately take part of the pretty and picturesque landscape of Macerata’s hills. In a few kilometres you will be at the archaeological excavations and Roman amphitheater in Urbisaglia where you can opt for a guided tour. Then, along the river, you will go into the forest and down towards the Cistercian Abbey of Chiaravalle.

Itinerary: S.M. Maddalena Pass (1 457m) – CAI chalets (1 520m) – Punta Ragnolo (1 557m) – Pizzo di Meta (1 575m) – S.M. Maddalena Pass. Difference in altitude: 200m.
