continuity From outside and from inside you can see the surrounding landscape and become an active part of it. The restaurant is located between the treetops. Pathways and spaces without doors, voids separating rooms introduce nature into the building. The intention is to suggest by reflections and refractions the space below without seeing it .

lightness mechanism The structure of masts and suspenders give the building the feeling of being suspended in the forest. As if it were released from the ground and blended with the forest. This building act as a mechanism that adapts itself to weather changes and internal comfort conditions.

conclusion The restaurant has no buildong fachade, it is the actual forest that serves as its facade. The restaurant is built in the woods so that the clients feel as if they disappeared inside and feel the rain, sun wind and even sounds of the enviroment. Rainwater and metal is used to generate refelctions and sounds. Light mobile elements serve to show the wind moving. Translucent elements provide light effects and colors. To generate light effects and colors I use translucent elements. The wood creates warmth and unique sounds of the forest. In addition , a net is used to catch the tree leaves and generate the ambiance of floating inside the forest.

AgriCULTURE International Competition “Links: Urban regeneration” Future arquitecturas magazine Urban regeneration, Harbin, China, December 2013. This new proposal aims to create a new source of entertainment and culture for cities. Not only will it strengthen cultural activities and contact with nature in the cities’ growing neighborhoods, but also it will contribute to the affirmation of the distinct attitude and personality of each city. The space created is adaptable to events with different needs, such as meetings, theatre shows or exhibitions. The prefabricated and dynamic structural systems can be move with rails and therefore, help to create the necessary shapes to adapt to the audience size, and define internal illumination, temperature and image projection conditions.

HAINAN GLOBAL 110 Professional. Miralles Tagliabue EMBT Themepark project, Hainan, China, November 2014. The project proposes an architectural promenade through a contemporary reinterpretation of German and Swiss villages, that aims to display the highlights of its history. The design of the ground floor reflects the peculiarity and complexity of old European towns where every house, corner, street and square is unique; therefore it combines fragments of old German and Swiss engravings. The roof is shaped as the features of mountains and valleys among German and Swiss landscapes. The result is a complex and abstract environment with a distinctive atmosphere that links to the whole project. The result is a renewed old town where to stroll, experiment and discover the peculiarities of each building and the variety of commercial activities they provide.

CAMPUS OF FUDAN UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT Professional. Miralles Tagliabue EMBT University project, Fudan, China, July 2014. Fudan is a part of a network of universities and their respective buildings located in Shangai. Is also a very special and unique university with an extensive history and a very unique character. The master plan for this new zone defines the density and heights. The new buildings must have a relationship to the surrounding buildings, the volumes must relate to the urban context, and be adjustable to the different functions. We modified the volumes of the master plan within the given specification to create that mixture. The buildings become part of a network of connections, instead of forming borders. The program of the business school is expected to engage about 8000 people in the complex at peak times. In this aspect the building require an easy and clear organization of the complex program.

MARMOMACC STAND Professional. Miralles Tagliabue EMBT Marble Stand, Verona, Italy, September 2014. Marble is a material usually associated with qualities such as strong, noble and eternal. The new techniques of working the stone offer us a wider range of possibilities. This made us think of it in a non traditional way. We were seduced by the idea of showing this fabrication process, to let the visitors realise the transition from the rough origin of the marble to its delicate ending On the pavillion for MARMOMACC 2014, our concept is based in a system of wavy panels of braided, petrified wicker rising in front of the visitors, lightly hanging and adapting to a curvy surface that seems to move. The natural colours of the marble resemble the genuine colours of wicker. In contrast with it, the rough blocks of marble in the floor show the first stage of the work.
