Several models (all exploring either program composition, structure, and circulation) were made to bes fit the requiered programs and search for a building method that could best represent the need configuration.

The program boxes pest represent space volumes requiered by the programs. Spaces inbetween are considered as structure oppertunity. The use of heavy and light structure to best support the main circulation gesture. The upper story on the south side become a giant glazed facade with the main gallery having become condradictory to what its program requiers.

A quick parti model demonstrates the main gestural move that first sparked the design. With Street Level hoasting the main gallery, the circulation ends on the south-east corner of the building exiting towards the trail.

Spring 2013 Design of a natural history museum along the edge of the City of Austin focused on developing schematic design and construction-ready drawing skills. The site had both historical and environmental factors that help determine design and provide for a creative intervention that could provide for further river edge development. The design offers three various galleries ranging from open-plan, liner, and spinal, integrated café area supported by interior and exterior lounge and 300 person amphitheater.

4 weeks Lois Weinthal Spring 2011 A study into client/architect relations and implemetation of design and desired results, This small pavilion tries to mediate the human impact over a nature preservation on the outskirts of Austin. As an epicenter for bird watching, The site warranted a simple raised platform design that could be used by the public. The design focuses on viewing areas and increases cover as it approaches open areas. A transparency filter is used to determine massing along the sides and use of human proportions create the design envelope that shapes pragmatic form.

15 weeks Francisco Gomes Spring 2012 The visitor center at Aqua Dulce hydroponics farm would enable the center to educate visitors how and what the farm wanted to achieve. Using an old shed as a base structure, dismantling and repurposing of materials was a major theme, followed by a budget and client's needs. This semester long project helped understand built structures better and also improved our understanding of the design/build construction methodology.
