Inside its facilities a donation of art by world-renowned painter Fernando Botero can be found. In addition, right in front of the museum is the Plaza Botero, 7,500 square meters that welcome open air and 23 sculptures by the artist. Among the most conventional visiting places are also Plaza Mayor, the biggest international conventions center in the country and the most modern in Latin America. It has 12,000 square meters of inner spaces for fairs and exhibitions with capacity for 8,000 people. In the surroundings of the conventions center are the Palacio de Exposiciones de Medellin, the Teatro Metropolitano, the Parque de los Pies Descalzos and the Museo Interactivo EPM.
Another site that cannot be missed is the Pasaje Peatonal Carabobo, a passage with architectural sights and urbanity patrimonial interest. You will facilitate workshops for secondary school students, 9º to 11º grade, in public/private schools using Spanish or English. Supporting language classes will be provided by the host LC if needed.

You develop 2 topics that the school chooses in four weeks. Each topic will be developed in 2 classes per week for 2 weeks per course group.

The themes of the workshops are: self-knowledge, cultural diversity, effective communication, coexistence, inclusion, self-esteem.

You will be responsible to plan and develop each workshop you deliver. The LC will provide supporting materials via Booklets, online presentations or trainings with Externals, LC members or Alumni.

You need to know the culture and social reality of your country, and study Colombian reality a little. You must want and have the confidence to work with young people. You must be motivated to improve your language skills. You must know where to find information on the project themes and like to work in a team. You must bring materials for participating in a Global Village.
You will facilitate workshops for university students between 17 and 25 years old in (public/private) universities using (Spanish/English) as main language. You’ll be delivering (XX) workshops per week (XX mins) for 6 weeks. You’ll have to prepare one workshop on one theme per week. There may be several Global Villages throughout the project. The themes of the workshops are Sustainability, Entrepreneurship, economic trends, globalization, international marketing, global politics, strategic management, innovation, management processes. You will be responsible to plan each workshop you deliver, lead a discussion about the topics after each of them and make a survey to the group. The LC will provide supporting materials via Booklets, reference, online presentations or trainings with Externals, LC members or Alumni. It is also trainee’s responsibility to participate in AIESEC events such as Global Villages and trainings, so we ask you to bring typical things from your country, such as food, clothes, music, etc. At the end of the project you should prepare a report of your work including number of workNo. of workshops delivered, No. of students that attended to workshops, audiovisual material and the result of the surveys.
