Objetivo principal Estrechar las relaciones profesionales y/o empresariales, con las personas y/o empresas que participan en el desarrollo de información especializada, y con las que utilizan dicha información como medio cotidiano para su desarrollo personal & profesional y así poder crear vínculos, para la creación de una Biblioteca de Contenido Especializado junto con una Organización de personas que cooperan en grupos para alcanzar diversos objetivos, cuya principal función consista en la prestación de servicios profesionales, y cuyos principios y valores sean integridad, colaboración, transparencia, participación e inter-dependencia.

BIBLIOTECA DE CONTENIDO ESPECIALIZADO “Son Bibliotecas que se concentran en una disciplina o grupo de disciplinas particulares, o que ofrecen servicios a usuarios interesados en una determinada profesión, actividad o proyecto.” Estas bibliotecas se caracterizan: 1. Ofrecer una tipología documental variada y con un tratamiento muy exhaustivo. 2. Sus usuarios suelen tener un nivel de formación elevado y buscan una información muy especializada. 3. Los

profesionales

que

prestan

estas

bibliotecas suelen tener una formación específica en el área temática especializada del centro. 4. Ofrecen un funcionamiento activo y una continua especialización. 5. De pequeño tamaño, normalmente, en cuanto a la colección, espacio y personal. 6. Un alto nivel de automatización en sus servicios.

We are convinced that the only way to achieve sustainable development is through innovation. Since 2008, CNI business leaders have maintained the Entrepreneurial Mobilization for Innovation (MEI), putting innovation at the centre of corporate strategy and enhancing the effectiveness of innovation policies in Brazil. ‘Innovation Feeding the World’, this year’s theme for the Global Innovation Index, is a central issue for environmental sustainability and for the world’s social and economic well-being. Innovations are spread across different economic sectors, sustaining one another with new ideas and state-of-the-art technologies. Innovation in agribusiness and food production now requires the knowledge and technologies produced by other sectors. Brazil’s role in grain production is not just a result of abundant natural resources and good climate conditions. Historically, the country has developed a consistent and comprehensive system of research and development to support innovation and new agriculture technologies. This system benefits from the leadership of Embrapa (Brazilian Agriculture Research Corporation), one of the country’s most important public research enterprises, which has provided Brazilian farmers with crucial tools needed for a modern and dynamic agroindustry. Inspired by Embrapa, in 2013 the government launched the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Research and Innovation (Embrapii), which manages nonrefundable grants invested in projects carried out by companies and research institutions and is acknowledged for its excellence, technological focus, and ability to meet companies’ needs. The technology challenges for agro-industry are now more complex than ever. In the past, soil fertilization mechanization, plant breeding, genetic engineering, and improvements in cultivation techniques were the main drivers for the increase in agriculture productivity; today other challenges demand a new set of technologies and policies. 8 Skills Leaders Will Need In Tomorrow's Workplace Today's workplace is, on average, quite a different place than the ones our grandparents and parents knew. We can thank technology for some of this, and shifting social priorities for the rest. Becoming a high-quality leader in times of perpetual change means knowing which skills to cultivate. You can read about these ideas in books and articles, but mostly you have to develop them as you go. So let's get to it. 1. Adaptability You probably don't need a reminder, but the world changes fast! What this means is that leaders need to know how to "roll" with the "punches" — whether it's a new concept, a new technology or a team member who floats an unorthodox idea at a company meeting. Adaptability isn't innate — it's a skill like any other. It requires leaders to cultivate an open mind. There's another way to say this, and it's attributed (some say mis-attributed) to Aristotle: "It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it." If a workplace is to be a true meritocracy, it means great ideas must percolate to the top of the organization. But for that to happen, leaders need to be receptive to new ideas, tools, techniques and ideologies. Anything less is deliberate stagnation. 2. Transparency Transparency is all about communicating well. For leaders in the workplace, that means knowing the right time to share information, when to query others for help reaching pivotal decisions, and general willingness to keep the rest of the organization in the loop about the present and future of the company. No decision comes from inside a vacuum — and leaders can't live in a vacuum either. Being honest, open and transparent is a great way to cultivate mutual trust and respect. 3. Empathy Empathy is about more than knowing how to express compassion. It means knowing when to render aid, when to crack a smile, and even, sometimes, when to back off. It requires that we "lead from the heart" and, as often as humanly possible, balance the needs of the company with the needs of the individuals who are responsible for its ultimate success.

8 Skills Leaders Will Need In Tomorrow's Workplace (cont…) 4. Flexibility We covered adaptability already — and flexibility is a little different. Adaptability is a willingness to confront or change your own ideas and preconceptions. Flexibility is more a willingness to "meet others halfway" procedurally. Just about everything workplace-related is in a constant state of disruption. Open floor plans were in. Now they're out. Flextime is becoming the rule, rather than an occasional exception to the 9-to-5 paradigm. Trends like these reflect our willingness to accommodate others and take their needs into account. Flexible start times and telecommuting were unheard of a generation ago. But we can afford to make these changes in the name of employee retention, satisfaction and productivity. The leaders of tomorrow have to realize there's more than one way to arrive at many of our goals, and must learn to help team members reach milestones their way, as often as possible. 5. Humility A strange thing happened to the concept of leadership over the last few years and decades. More often than not, it seems like leaders prioritize their own aggrandizement over the growth of the groups they represent. With the right temperament, great leaders become a stalwart presence that employees can depend on. But these leaders aren't out for their own glory — they're just doing their job. Humility in leadership means being okay with letting others take the credit and being more concerned with the progress of the team and its individual human components than with being recognized as a figurehead. 6. Competent and Confident Communication You may think of communication as a "soft skill." But there may be no skill more fundamentally important for realizing progress, whether in the workplace or elsewhere. Great communicators are those who know how to express even complex ideas and directives in a clear and relatable way. You don't need to be a wordsmith, but you do need to know how to anticipate questions and head-off misunderstandings before they happen. It also means learning a measure of confidence, or else you may find yourself tuned right out.

Emotional Intelligence Emotional intelligence is such a compelling and important idea — not just in the workplace, but just about everywhere else, too. Broadly, it refers to the ability to recognize, interpret and successfully manage our own emotional reactions to outside stimuli. More than that, it's the ability to recognize how emotions affect the actions of others and finding the grace to respond appropriately. 8. Commitment to a Vision We've landed on our final skill, but it's probably one of the most important. Leaders in the workplace aren't there to act as sheepdogs. They have a responsibility to manage a company's human capital, but their function runs much deeper than that: they're ambassadors for the organization's vision. "Work hard to move the company forward" isn't a vision — it's an ultimatum. Here's a better one: "Let's improve life for as many people as possible." Here's another: "Let's become the world's most sustainable [X type of business]." There are values implied here: one which emphasizes a humanistic approach to business development and one which focuses on good stewardship. In other words, tomorrow's workplace leaders need to offer something worth reaching for besides a paycheck. You don't just represent a company — you represent a collection of human ideals. And yes — that's just as huge a responsibility as it sounds like.
