Russafa Arts Centre Performing Arts School & Community Centre Valencia_Spain
The complex formed by the new building with the adjacent square and the existing market constitutes the new epicentre of the Russafa district. The project combines a performing arts school with a civic centre. An auditorium, a library as well as a large covered public plaza on the ground floor complete this public facility. The building is composed of three stacked and cantilevered floor slabs that provide shade and outdoor space. Simplicity, lightness and openness are the main concepts reflected in the design.

Inhabit a tree Container Vacation House Sydney_Australia
The aim of the Competition was to design a container vacation house overlooking Bondi Beach reusing freight containers. Based on the condition of projecting a house connected with the surrounding landscape, the house is imagined as a structure which springs up from the ground and grows upwards like a tree on top of the cliff. Trees are sustainable organic structures, that pick up whatever they need from their environment to grow, burying their roots to stand up, collecting water from rain to process it, spreading out their leaves looking for solar energy and finally when they die recycling themselves. With this structure as starting point, concrete cores rise out of the ground and hold tree-top which is formed by the shipping containers. This structure generates two kinds of living space. On the one hand, a private space inside the containers, with unique views over the bay. On the other hand, a space is generated underneath, making up a single space which is open to the outside.
The root
Preserving the vegetation, a piece of ground is removed where the parking is currently located. Extracted materials are reused. The aggregate from demolition is used for the concrete structure. The soil removed is used to generate the landscaping around the home.

The trunk
The structure consists of several recycled concrete cores, which also function as vertical communication, service space and extra width for the containers.
The crown
The containers are grouped together to generate the private rooms of the house. These are lifted and anchored to the cores, being cantilevered and oriented in different outward positions creating the different views.
In the shade
The containers seem to float in the air, leaving the main living space below them. This space is completely open to the environment, blurring the boundaries between interior and exterior.

Second Coming Europan 12_The adaptable city Urretxu-Irimo_Spain
Industrial buildings in the Irimo’s area are the physical evidence of the recent past of the village and the representative icon of the urban landscape at the main entrance to the town of Urretxu .The project aims through a set of actions to get a unit in the landscape and the recovery of its industrial identity. The project aims to establish continuity of the urban experience. Rejecting a single formal design, this experience is achieved through a direct relationship with the topography and the adaptation of existing infrastructure. The objective is to generate economic, social and environmentally self-sufficient plan. To achieve this goal we use four strategies to be implemented in the short, medium and long term. It Is possible to generate initial small interventions with reduced costs to serve as catalysts for further long-term developments.

Structural axis
Urban catalysts
The project establishes the Urola river basin and the ‘bidegorri’ (cycle lane) as the structural axis of the project, providing a unitary structure to connect different urban facilities.
Conversion of the damaged industrial heritage by inserting it into the new urban pattern. They can be understood as seeds which can generate synergies to reactivate the entire area.
Urban dynamizer
Urban pattern
Management of the territory and urban facilities in a sustainable form, reviving and boosting the local economy.
Unifying the urban patterns, generating a unique, continuous public space that connects and organizes the territory ensuring greater pedestrian mobility of the local population.

Orba Serviced housing for the elderly Valencia_Spain
The project started from the need of adapting the architecture to the current needs of the elderly. That is how came out the idea of creating a hybrid apartment block where housing is mixed with shared facilities for residents. At the foot of the block there are special facilities for the care of users like a wellness centre, gym or educational workshops. Furthermore, there is an auditorium, retail spaces, a restaurant and a banquet hall that contribute to the economic sustainability of the project. The upper floors are for the studio apartments where independent living is offered while there is a permanent connection with the service centre of the ground floor. The building has a stepped profile that allows a maximum of sunlight on the interior walls and the courtyard. This shape also leaves the breeze from sea come in and provides magnificent views. Taking advantage of the Mediterranean benevolent climatic conditions a therapeutic garden is created in the central courtyard. Lastly, the terraced roof functions as urban farm enhancing the sense of community of the users.

Pixelart Design Welcome Art Verona_International competition Verona_Italy
The proposal is positioned on the site as a carpet that guides the visitor to the pavilions through a continuous space. This ‘carpet’ is a pixelated undulating landscape that invites people to walk, climb, play, relax or meet. This surface itself becomes an installation. The whole proposal is formed by a single element ( yellow PVC pallet) which is multiplied 2000 times to create this artificial landscape. Entrance Elevated

On the crest of a wave Temporary housing for surfers Prototype
The aim of the project was to create a sustainable residential module for surfers. To achieve this, the project focuses on reusing shipping containers at the same time as the carbon footprint is reduced thanks to avoiding their destruction. It is not designed for any particular site; it is a nomad shelter for nomad people. The shipping container is not only a sustainable resource but also represents movement and evokes the sea. The container can be positioned cantilever above the beach dunes providing amazing sea views. Designed to be both carbon-neutral and self sufficient, the proposal features a rainwater harvesting tank and a photovoltaic panel that could generate plenty of solar energy.

Zig Zag house House on the hill Alicante_Spain
This house is located in the picturesque mountainous coast of Alicante. The house is composed of two volumes (daytime and night-time) arranged on two levels. These two volumes have been moved in relation to each other to achieve several design goals. First, comply with regulations. Secondly, the house can be better adapted to the hillside and finally provide outdoor spaces with wonderful panoramic sea views. The access to the house is possible from a street side, located at the top of the two levels. The facade is coated in stucco to create a clean white aesthetic in contrast with the natural stone of the retaining walls.
