t

Tupi House is a luxury boutique hotel located in Sao Paulo, Brazil, that offers guests a high-end experience throughout its 8 stories through detail-oriented furnishings and the layout of spaces that promotes exclusive service to all guests and visitors. The design for Tupi House will stem from ‘the blending of past, ancestral and present, contemporary facets ‘of the city of Sao Paulo. Ancestral inspiration will be influenced by the Tupi people, a South American Indian tribe once indigenous to the area of Sao Paulo before colonization of the Portuguese. The tupi tribe’s way of life through hunting and gathering, use of earth and natural materials, and man-made possessions will take form through use of organic material selections and an earthy palette. Sao Paulo’s present, contemporary atmosphere will be representative through overall layout, forms and function amidst all Tupi House’s interior spaces.

Sao Paulo endures a distinctly temperate, tropical climate because of its elevation, where its’ coldest season in July averages at 58 degrees F with an occasional frost, while its’ warmest season in February averages at 69 degrees F. Rainfall is ample throughout October - March with an average of 56 inches/year. Humidity and air pollution generates an ever-present mist that lures over the city.
