The MacMurray Theatre in Arcola has had a facelift. The building looks like new after a summer of work was put into the front. By Kelly Running With winter here get ready to enjoy the warmth and fun of going to the movies. The Arcola Optimists have been hard at work updating and preparing for the first movie weekend of the season at

the MacMurray Theatre. The theatre saw a makeover this year and the Optimists are excited for people to stop by and see their new look. “We started out with a restoration of the front, we wanted to save the awning,

which meant our ceiling inside had to come out and rehabilitation work done,” Glen Lawson explained. “We did quite a bit more work on the inside than planned, but it all came out really nice. We’re really happy with the look of it.

We were able to save the art deco look and save the awning, it’s of course covered in stucco now which gives it a different look, but it looks good and we were able to keep the same profile as the original.” The main contractor

of the new look was Roger Miers, while Chapman’s Electric did all of the wiring and Rod Lees helped finish the inside.

The Mac - continued from page 1 “They did a nice job, the colours work well together,” Lawson said. “We looked at salvaging the doors, but they were shot, so we got new ones and new windows as well.” “It took a lot of the summer, there were construction delays and projects that would come up as we started working on it,” Lawson stated. “Fortunately we have enough done, it looks completed there’s just a little more to finish on the roof, to open for the weekend.” “The end result was well worth it. We’ve had

some storms and haven’t had any water seeping inside, so we had been dealing with water damage, but I think that’s been fixed now.” Movies will be shown on the Friday/Saturday from now until May, with the first movie held last weekend to an eager crowd. “We’ve had lots of people calling to inquire when it would open and we have two birthday parties coming,” Lawson said of the opening weekend. “We will take Christmas and New Years off,

but we’re sending out ad mats in the mail again and we also have a website and Facebook page which will have the movies up.” Inside the lobby, which is now more open and brighter, a new cooler and candy display have been added to spruce up the area. “The new cooler and display were purchased because we would run out halfway through, mostly during kids movies, so we’ll be able to keep up better with that now and we also have more staff in here as well.”

The lobby of the MacMurray Theatre also looks new after some work was done inside and a new cooler and display case were moved in.

This includes community volunteers and the students of the SRC at Arcola School, which make up a total of seven work crews. “Our plans now are to have everyone enter through the one door, to line up and get through quicker,” Lawson said. Plans for the future of the MacMurray Theatre include looking into siding and the cost of a large sign to be hung in the empty area near the top of the building. “These plans will kind of just depend on the quotes we receive back and what we think we can afford this year,” Lawson said. “We’re also almost done the Legion Hall and we’ve begun planning for our snowmobile rally.” The restoration and reinvigoration towards the theatre developed a few years ago. “We were faced with closing or doing it [all the updates], so when we got the digital projector we had to keep going and improve the building as well,” Lawson explained. The project is one that is appreciated in the community as the nearest movie theatres are approximately an hour away for

many, which makes this a close-by destination for enjoying entertainment. “We’re getting movies quickly and getting crowds,” Lawson said. “We have terrific support from the area and have been getting people from all over.” In addition to movies, the MacMurray Theatre will be hosting The Jeffersons, Lisa Brokop and Paul Jefferson, for A Country Christmas on Friday, Dec. 4, and Saturday, Dec. 5. Contact Glen at (306)577-3250 or Blake at (306)577-9904 for more information. The Optimists also plan on holding another concert in the spring as well. The Optimists are also working towards two projects in 2016 which includes replacing the swings at the play park with more modern and safer ones. They are also planning on working with the Fire Department and seeing what kind of equipment and other needs they currently have. Snow is falling and winter driving is near By Kelly Running Ice, snow, and poor winter driving is just around the corner. Safety is one of the most important aspects to driving in winter and taking the time to prepare for winter driving. Preparing for winter comes with preparing an emergency kit to be carried in the vehicle. Items to be kept in the trunk include a shovel, some sand, a warning light, extra clothing and footwear, booster cables, extra windshield washer fluid with antifreeze, snack bars, “emergency” food and water. Other items suggested to carry inside the vehicle include an ice scraper and brush, flashlight, first aid kit, matches and a survival candle, as well as a blanket. CAA also suggests individuals to carry a fully charged cell phone in case of emergency. Before traveling, it is also important to conduct a vehicle checkup: looking at the electrical system of the vehicle, brakes, tires, the exhaust system, heating/cooling system, windshield wipers, and keeping an eye on the fuel tank ensuring you have enough for not only the trip, but to use as a source of heat if needed. Though these are precautionary items to carry on a trip as well as regular maintenance, it is also important to plan ahead. Checking the weather and road conditions before taking to the road are ways to possibly avoid traveling through storms. It may also help encourage drivers to take extra time to get to and from one’s destination according to road conditions. Cruise control can actually put a vehicle into a skid as it hydroplanes, causing the tires to lose contact with the road surface and accelerate to a greater speed. Reducing power to tires prevents

Snow and ice make the roads slippery resulting in a longer distance needed to stop. (archive) skids, so when wheels continue to spin it increases the chances of losing control of one’s vehicle. (www.ama.ab.ca) According to CAA, snow and ice are more slippery at this time of year with the temperature nearer to 0°C than it is at -20°C. Black ice is also more likely to be found at temperatures between 4°C and -4°C. Black ice often forms in shaded areas of highways, bridges, and overpasses. Though it is difficult to tell where black ice is, it is important to watch for black and shiny patches on the highway. While on the road it is also necessary to leave more space between the vehicle in front of you and your own as stopping takes longer when the roads are slippery with ice and snow. According to Forensic Dynamics Inc. their Stop-

ping Distance Calculator calculates stopping in snow while traveling 100km/h at 131.22m as opposed to 56.23m on dry asphalt. While travelling at 120km/h, which through The Observer’s driving experience, is the speed most drivers travel on Hwy 13, it takes 188.96m to stop as opposed to 80.98m on dry asphalt. On ice traveling at 100km/h can result in braking taking 262.45m, while the vehicle can also be put into a skid. At 120km/h it can take up to 377.92m to stop. If something does happen that results in your being trapped in a storm or you collide with a snow bank on the side of the road, stay calm. Avoid heavy shoveling in the cold, but do make sure to check the tailpipe and make sure it is not covered

by snow. It is suggested that keeping a window cracked open on the side of the vehicle sheltered from the wind supplies fresh air. Use a survival candle to keep warm as opposed to

the vehicle’s heater. Staying awake is also important to remain attentive in watching for traffic or searchers and exercising your arms and legs while in the vehicle. Ultimately it is impor-

tant to be prepared for anything and although being stranded on the side of the road is not a usual occurrence for most, it is a very real concern during these coming cold months

By Anne Davison Dreading the dark? Sad that summer is over? There is a biological reason for that. As fall darkness deepens to winter, and with the end of Daylight Saving, it is dark when we rise for the day. While it is possible to brush off regrets over the loss of warm weather, our bodies actually do crave a certain amount and type of light in order to achieve the best sleep patterns and a normal sense of well-being and energy during waking hours. In winter, sleep patterns tend to change. Light affects the release of melatonin, the sleep regulating hormone. Even dim light can interfere with circadian rhythms and melatonin secretion. Blue light, from computer screens, and some energy saving lights are

Consider the light

the worst kind, according to research, (Harvard Health Publications, Blue Light has a Dark Side). One would think we would get better sleeps in the winter season and be more refreshed. After all – it is darker most of the time. But that is not how it works, according to medical research. With less intense daylight available early in the day during fall and winter months, our entire circadian rhythm is ‘put off’. Getting outside at the break of dawn, and getting some physical exercise to boot would be the ideal. But for some people who have a tendency to depression, or other health concerns, even that may not be enough to make for a happy, wakeful day and a sound sleep at night. However, bio-science and entrepreneurial enterprise has collaborated to

produce lamps that can simulate the daylight experience of the spring May mornings that our bodies crave. Symptoms of Seasonal Affective Disorder , so aptly named SAD, can include just not feeling up to par. More aches and pains, food cravings and a lack of ‘get up and go’ may point to the winter blues, or SAD. Virden business owner for San Tai’s Natural Health, Kathy Hamilton usually stocks a product called Litebook. She recommends this source of simulated sunlight. But there are other lamps available. Hamilton cautions people to be careful in their selection. Some lamps can be less effective and others can be too intense. The idea is, you need the right spectrum of light coming from above, onto your face and into your eyes. In order to be effective, manufacturers and retailers advise spending at least 15 to

30 pre-dawn minutes with these lights on. Take the time to read a book, or the newspaper, or even check email, while basking in the light. Get into the light every day, even on weekends, for best results. Sometimes it is difficult to track small or gradual changes, particularly when they are for the better. It’s easy to miss the progression from SAD to normal, but when used as suggested, you should feel more alert and optimistic all day long. While light therapy is not the be-all solution, it is drug-free and may help you feel more like doing the other things that are good for mind and body, such as exercise and healthy food choices. For more information, Dr. Norman E. Rosenthal is a world-renowned psychiatrist and author whose research on seasonal affective disorder (SAD) has helped millions of people.

The Office Bar & Grill celebrates 15 years of food, friends and fun By Lynne Bell “Fifteen years times 365 days equals over 5,000 fun days at The Office,” says owner Brian Rutten of Carlyle’’s Office Bar & Grill’s 15th anniversary. Rutten, along with co-owners Greg Rutten and Glenn Hofos and manager Tracy Hofos all agree that The Office’s success and longevity in the notoriously difficult restaurant business boils down to three factors: great staff, great food and a loyal clientele. “Our staff is a huge asset,” says Tracy. “We have 24 to 30 people working here, depending on the week. We have some staff who have been here for more than three years.” Brian agrees, adding: “Tracy-’The Boss’- and her staff is what makes this place. They’re all important-cooks, dishwashers, serving staff, cleaning staff-every one of them.” “We’re always working on our menu,” Tracy adds. “And most of our food is done from scratch. There’s no pre-packaged, heat-and-go stuff. I cost things out, but otherwise, we give our chef a pretty free reign.” “We want our staff to like working here,” says Brian. “We hired them for their strengths and we want to make use of those talents. If our staff is having fun, then hopefully, our customers will, too.” “We rely on all of the communities in this area, the lakes, the new hotels in town, and of course, the workers,” says Tracy. “The most recent downturn in the oilpatch is certainly something we feel, but our locals have carried us through and stuck by us, and for that, we’re very grateful.”

Continued from page 7 - Office Bar and Grill Both Brian and Tracy say that staffing-in good economic times and bad-remains an ongoing challenge in their industry. However, one event in the The Office’s history demonstrates that it is a business which has already withstood a significant challenge-and has been rebuiltliterally from the ground up. “It happened in Februrary, 2003,” says Brian. “We had a natural gas leak that pretty well levelled the building.” “”It happened on a Sunday about noon,” adds Tracy. “It was really cold, about -35 C below. We were so lucky.” “We joke that it took the eyebrows off my brother, Greg,” says Brian. “He opened the door. And our cook, Mike Oblander was starting to open up at noon for Sunday, and he got out with one shoe. We were so lucky in so many ways.” “Tracy was at our second location in Weyburn and (my wife) Jan and I were coming back from Assiniboia,” he adds. “We were on this side of Weyburn when our daughter Nikki called and said, ‘The Office blew up’. My first thought after I realized how bad it was was: ‘Who’s dead? Who’s hurt?.’” “When we found out that everyone was okay, we were both so relieved, that nothing else mattered. I thought, ‘Okay, we’ll deal with what we have to deal with....’” Although the restaurant’s rebuild took over a year, both Brian and Tracy say that the sight of the levelled building only made them focus on how lucky they were, not on what they had lost. “When Jan and I arrived back in Carlyle, there was no seeing anything,” says Brian. “It was all gone. But we were so lucky that no one was killed or hurt.” “Businesses can be rebuilt, people can’t be replaced,” he says, as Tracy nods in agreement. The old building had been the Parkman General Store, and although it was destroyed in the blast, The Office’s owners were determined to recreate what Brian calls The Office’s “neighbourhood pub atmosphere.”

“We’ve always aimed to make The Office a place were people felt welcome, could meet friends and enjoy some good eats,” he says. “During the rebuild, we discovered that there were lots of building code changes. We wanted to carry over some aspects of the old building-the mirrors, the beams and stuff-but more important than making it an exact copy of the old place, we wanted to retain that warm and welcoming feel.” “I think we did and we opened up again in July 2004, it was just in

time for the first long weekend of the summer.” “And since then, there are a lot of new places to eat in Carlyle,” adds Brian. “People sometimes ask us about that, but I think it’s great there are so many places to choose from. Competition is a good thing, and it keeps us on our toes.” The Office offers opportunities to eat in the downstairs dining room or in the upstairs bar, as well as offering take-out. Although the menu contains some specialities and classic dishes that are customer favourites, both Brian and Tracy say they are always aiming to improve The Office’s offerings. “We’ve revamped our menu a few times,” says Tracy. “Our original menu was always pretty large. We want to offer choices to our customers, but also quality. From day one, our Chicken Oscar has been a big hit...” “And our pizzas,” adds Brian. “We work our seasoning right into our dough.”

Longtime customer Jacqui Trippel of Carlyle, says: “We’ve had a lot of great meals at The Office over the years. A couple stand out as exceptionally good. (One buffet) was so fancy, nicer than anything I’ve seen on a cruise ship, complete with food sculptures and everything.” “We were there for Valentine’s supper this year,” adds Trippel. “We saw a stranger pay for supper for a single mom and her two kids that night as a surprise. It was really nice.” “One of our friends loves their chicken wing dinner so much that that’s all he’ll ever order. It’s nice to have a good restaurant in town.” The 200-seat bar and eatery also has a pool table, a jukebox, VLTs, big screen television, foosball and on occasion, karoke and live bands. “We aim to be a place where our customers can enjoy themselves,” says Tracy. From the beginning the pair say that life at The Office is “never boring.” “It’s been a real education in human nature,” says Brian. “You meet people from every walk of life, through almost every circumstance in life-celebrations, tougher times, sad times and ordinary days. You see the gamut of humanity. It widens your perspective and opens up your view of things. You see life and look at it full-spectrum.” “We started from a core group of 12 of us from the Moose Head,” adds Tracy. “It’s grown about four-fold in the 15 years we’ve been open.” “We’ve always had goals,” adds Brian. “We’ve exceeded our initial expectations. We have good staff and good food and we also have good customers. The formula’s pretty simple.” “Every day is a fun day here,” he says. “We’re not done celebrating our 15th anniversary yet, and we welcome everyone who wants to to come out to The Office and join us.” The Office Bar & Grill is located at 102 Railway Ave. West in Carlyle. And the band plays on

By Judy Wells “Music makes the world go round” so the saying goes. Deloraine School’s new music teacher would wholeheartedly agree, as he is eager to resurrect the band program. David Heilmann is a half time music teacher at the school where he teaches the K-8 students. Heilmann’s goals include a high school music program, resurrecting the band program, which was once an integral part of the school curriculum, and forming a community choir and community band. To this end, it his hope that the community band/choir and school music program can work in harmony for the benefit of all.

There once was a thriving band program at Deloraine Collegiate Institute (DCI). The following is an excerpt from “Deloraine Meets the Millennium” history book: “The Deloraine School Band program entered the school curriculum in the fall of 1974. From 1980 through the 1990/91 school year classes in instrumental band instruction were offered to grades 7 through 12. Anywhere from 100-125 students were involved in the three band levels – beginners, juniors and seniors. At the senior level DCI also had a stage band. The band performed at numerous school and community functions including the annual Fair/Races parade. Over the years the senior band took numerous trips performing at the

15

Optimist Festival in Winnipeg, the Moose Jaw Festival and in Regina. Due to declining enrollment and staff reductions the band program at Deloraine Collegiate Institute ended in June 1991.” It is now 24 years later and thanks to the talents and determination of Heilmann the band program is being reborn. Fundraising efforts for the music program are being kick started with a performance of “Sisters of The Holy Rock” on November 7 at 3:00 p.m. at Deloraine School. With this kick-off it looks like the music program is well on its way.

The sheer bliss of a central vacuum

Get rid of dirt hassle-free with a central vacuum cleaner.

Let’s be honest; vacuuming is a chore that many of us avoid doing until the dust and dirt are just too hard to ignore. To simplify this dreaded task, you might want to think about ditching your traditional canister or upright vacuum cleaner for a “central vac” system. How they work A central vacuum system includes a power unit and dust reservoir, a network of ducts, wall outlets and various accessories. When the vacuuming can’t be put off any longer, you simply plug a flexible hose, equipped with a handle on one end and a brush on the other, into one of the outlets. Then with a quick flick of a switch the power unit starts up and you can move from room to room with only the hose to pull along behind you. You: 1. Dust: 0. Characteristics Central vacuums are easy to install and are more powerful and much quieter than portable vacuum clean-

ers. Moreover, this type of system is much less cumbersome than a traditional vacuum cleaner — those things bump continuously against furniture and door frames, not to mention they have power cords that are never long enough. Installation Call in a professional if you decide to install a central vacuum system in your home. This specialist will make holes in your walls in order to install sockets and piping on each floor. The power unit is typically placed in the basement, well away from the living areas of your home. Costs Central vacuum cleaners usually come with a price tag of between $500 and $1,500, depending on the brand, model, power and quality of the components and accessories. One last advantage to think about is that a central vacuum cleaner is considered an asset when selling your home.

Is your home ready for the fall? Fall doesn’t just involve colourful leaves, rainy days and Halloween candy; it’s also the time to close the pool, caulk windows, clean gutters and the list goes on. In fact, preparing for fall involves a great many jobs. Here are a few of them. • Put away deck furniture and the barbecue, un less it’s set up to be used year round. Drain and store garden hoses and turn off any outside taps. • Close the pool. Drain partially, so the water level is about 30.5 cm (one foot) below the skimmer basket. Disconnect and drain all the pipes and bleed the pump before storing it for the winter. • Clean gutters and make sure they drain properly. • Inspect the roof. Make sure skylights, roof shingles and seals on chimneys or vents are in good condition. Do any necessary repairs. • Have your chimney cleaned and your fireplace inspected to prevent fires. Make sure smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are working well, and then change the batteries (they should be replaced every year). • Examine the foundations and the exterior si ding, and fix any cracks to prevent water or air infiltration. • Check the slope of the ground and make any modifications to ensure that rainwater drains away from your home. Check the sump pump to avoid any unpleasant surprises during heavy rainfall or the spring melt. • Check your deck or balcony. Make sure railings and steps are safe, and replace rotten or dama ged planks. Check if the deck is adequately lit and take advantage of the mild weather to replace bulbs in outdoor fixtures. • Inspect doors and windows. To keep cold and damp from entering the house, replace damaged seals and weather stripping. Take this opportunity to remove window air conditioners, if you have any. Remove bug screens to prevent condensation and maximize the amount of winter sunlight entering your home. • Check all air outlets (central vacuum, dryer, range hood, etc.) and make sure the vent covers close properly. • Clean the filters of your air exchanger and heating system. Vacuum inside any furnace registers. It would also be wise to verify that the heating system is working properly. In fact, fall is the perfect time to have it checked out by a professional. • Test your water if you have a well. This should be done every six months. • Clean the garage floor catch ba sin. If it connects with the house plumbing, make sure the automatic valve closes properly. Lastly, spring isn’t the only time of year to do a thorough cleanup; preparing your home for the winter also requires some cleaning chores. For example, it’s important to vacuum baseboard heaters and make sure furniture and curtains are well clear of them. Carpets, curtains and fabriccovered chairs should also be cleaned. This will greatly improve the air quality in your 15 Crescent Ave. home during those long SOURIS, MB winter months Phone (204)483-3238 when windows are never opened.

Having pets spayed or neutered is a must Every year, animal shelters struggle to accommodate the many pets that are left with them. Picked up as feral animals or abandoned by their owners, thousands of cats, dogs, rabbits and other pets are often doomed to a sad fate. Many of them are never adopted because they’re either too old or sick or they exhibit undesirable behaviours. As a responsible pet owner, you can limit pet overpopulation with a simple procedure: surgical sterilization. THE BENEFITS OF SPAYING AND NEUTERING In addition to limiting the many births that lead to overpopulation, there are several other benefits to sterilization: • It prevents cancer of the reproductive organs and other diseases

• It reduces several types of disruptive behaviour • It increases life expectancy by a few years So unless you’re a breeder, it would be irresponsible to forgo this procedure that is so beneficial to the health of your pet. A VETERINARIAN’S EXPERTISE Veterinarians are well aware of all the benefits of early sterilization and can give you all the information you need. When you adopt a kitten or a puppy, be sure to make an appointment to have your new pet spayed or neutered. The younger the animal, the better it will heal after surgery. By using the most effective painkillers, your vet will ensure that your pet suffers as little as possible after the operation. And once the recovery period is over, your beloved pet can return to catching sticks or playing with its toys safely.

Cuddling up on the couch with your pudgy Angora cat feels nice and cozy, doesn’t it? But it’s time for you to remedy the problem if her stomach skims the floor at every step and if she has difficulty climbing stairs. NO TRIVIAL PHENOMENON Veterinarians consider pet obesity to be an illness. Just as in humans, animal obesity is the result of overeating and a lack of physical activity. Unfortunately, this condition is not usually taken seriously, which is a big mistake. The effects of obesity on your pet’s health can be numerous: osteoarthritis, diabetes, breathing difficulties, etc. Moreover, sores can sometimes form in the folds of their skin; if

the sores get infected, they can cause a great deal of pain. A GREAT SOURCE OF ADVICE A veterinarian is your best ally when trying to remedy the problem of your pet’s obesity. The vet will establish a detailed plan to help you get your pet back to a healthy weight. This plan will likely include activities you can do with your pet to make it expend more energy. In addition, your veterinarian will suggest a personalized diet that includes the type of food and the precise quantities you should give your pet on a daily basis. A weight-reduction plan designed by a professional will help you ensure that you don’t make any mistakes that could compromise your pet’s health.

Obesity in pets is a big problem

Spaying or neutering is strongly recommended by veterinarians and animal protection groups.

Does your cat have allergies? Your beloved kitty may have an allergy if it’s prone to frequent, intense scratching sessions, repetitive sneezing, vomiting or diarrhea. POSSIBLE ALLERGENS There are many substances that can cause allergies in cats: • Mould, pollen and dust • Flea saliva • Irritants such as soaps, aerosols, cleaning products, some fabrics, rubber collars and flea collars • Dietary proteins Food allergies sometimes cause violent itching or intestinal disorders. No cat

is immune to developing an allergy; in fact, itching and other symptoms can appear at any age, even in an animal that has been eating the same food for years without having any problems. A VETERINARIAN’S DIAGNOSIS A visit to the vet will help you find the cause of your cat’s allergy. After discussing your pet’s symptoms with you, your vet will consider all the possible causes. Sometimes blood or skin tests may be done for maximum precision. In the case of a food allergy, the veterinarian will check your cat’s diet carefully in order to isolate the allergen and then counsel you about which kind of food he or she will be able to tolerate.

How to choose the best food for your pet

The ins and outs of having your cat declawed Feline declawing (or onychectomy) is a surgical procedure that involves removing all or part of the distal phalanges of a cat’s toes, i.e. the end bones where the claws are located. This procedure is carried out most frequently in North America, where nearly 25 per cent of domestic cats are declawed. Declawing is usually done to prevent damage to furniture or curtains. Other people opt for the procedure to keep young children from being scratched. At what age should you have your cat declawed? The younger and lighter the cat, the less pain there will be from the declawing. Similarly, healing takes place much more quickly than in an adult cat. Veterinarians usually recommend declawing cats at around three or four months of age, when a general anesthesia is considered safe. Many vets suggest having your cat neutered or spayed at the same time. Veterinarians use various means to reduce the pain associated with a declawing procedure, including local anesthetics, analgesics, anti-inflammatories and pain-relief patches.

Cats usually recover very well when this surgery is performed by a veterinarian. However, be wary if you’re offered a declawing at a surprisingly low price. Your pet could suffer if this surgical procedure isn’t done properly by a qualified person.

Cats recuperate much faster if they are declawed around the age of three or four months.

Pet owners always want to offer the very best to their furry little friends when it comes to care and food. That’s why many people have lots of questions about their pets’ diets. Is it true that you should never give cow’s milk to cats? Is it dangerous to give table scraps to a dog? Unfortunately, many well-meaning but misinformed pet owners harm their pets by giving them inappropriate foods. YOUR VETERINARIAN CAN ADVISE YOU Veterinarians usually recommend food that is manufactured by animal nutrition specialists. You can find these products in veterinary hospitals and clinics as well as in specialty stores. Unlike the widely advertised brands sold in supermarkets, this high quality food takes into account all the nutritional needs of pets. Moreover, your veterinarian may recommend a particu-

lar brand that is tailored to your pet’s specific health problem, such as obesity, dental or urinary disorders. Of course, these specialized foods usually cost a bit more, but their benefits are worth the extra expense. Because they increase the life expectancy of your pet by reducing the risk of disease, you avoid paying for expensive treatments in the long term. On the other hand, cheaper brands contain lower quality ingredients that can cause unpleasant digestive problems such as vomiting, diarrhea or skin problems.
