Victor Jorgensen

1953 - 2018

Wayne loved life. He lived at home and he died at home, with only a short visit to the Arcola Hospital, where he left this world surrounded by those who loved him. Wayne grew up in Carlyle and made the community his home. His children - Shawn Peterson and Clint Dunn, and his grandchildren, Dane and Rylie - were the lights of his life. Wayne and Laura were soulmates and were lucky enough to spend 16 years together. During this time, they enjoyed all of life’s good things: travel, time at their second home at Candle Lake, ishing and enjoying everything lake life had to offer and most importantly, spending many hours with family and friends, near and far. Wayne’s special little pooch, Ozzy was his companion through thick and thin. The pair could often be seen driving together, whether on the road or on the water. Wayne had a passion for sports, both as a player and as a fan. On any given weekend, he could be often found at the rink or at the diamonds with a smile, cheering on the next generation. He was a ierce competitor, but friendship always came irst. This was a priority throughout his life and Wayne’s friends quickly became family. Wayne’s love of family was furthered through the family business, Dunn Transport. Although Wayne spent his working life there, the biggest source of professional pride for Wayne was handing off his trucking legacy to his son, Clint. Wayne will be lovingly missed and remembered with a smile by his soulmate, Laura; his children, Shawn Peterson and Clint Dunn; his grandchildren, Dane and Rylie; as well as his brothers Larry (Donna); Bev (Debra) and Brian (Cheryl); his sister Rilla; his mother and father-in law Shirley and Dan Borowsky; his brother-in-law Mike (Heather) Borowsky; his sister-in-law Debbie (Sean) Stepney and his nieces and nephews and many cherished friends. Wayne was predeceased by his parents Nels and Florence Dunn and his brother, Ross. Words of Celebration will take place Saturday, January 27 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Carlyle Memorial Hall, followed by a Come and Go Celebration, also at the Carlyle Memorial Hall. If friends so wish, donations may be made in Wayne’s memory to the Arcola Health Centre, Arcola, Saskatchewan. Arrangements are in care of Orsted Funeral Home, Carlyle Saskatchewan.
