The Carlyle & District Lions Club held their 27 Annual Supper and Auction Thursday, Mar. 1 at the Carlyle Memorial Hall. The local Lions have raised nearly $1.5 million for charitable and community causes since the Club’s inception 55 years ago. One of the Carlyle fundraiser’s most popular items is a ‘Pie of the Month’ package, created and donated by Lions President Dennis Feduk (left). With the able assistance of award-winning auctioneer, Ward Cutler (right), this year’s winning bid for the package was $1,350 from Jolyn Schultz of Carlyle. (See story on page 3)
