I AM THAT GIRL is a 501(c)3 organization helping girls to transform self-doubt in to self-love by providing a safe space to connect and have honest conversations about things that matter. Every day, girls are bombarded with messages that attack what she is NOT and we work every day to help her love who SHE IS; to see that in herself and inspire that in others. We are shifting girl culture and raising the standards for how girls treat themselves, each other, and the world. Every girl deserves a community where she can be seen,
be heard, and belong. Together, we are building those spaces in person and online.
Board of Members
Originally founded in 2002 by Alexis Jones while she was an undergraduate at USC, I AM THAT GIRL officially became a nonprofit in 2008 and has since grown to nearly 300 local chapters, and more than 1 million followers online.
Mission & Value
Mission To provide leadership, social and personal development program to girls in high school and college throughout the US.
Value Statement Empowerment and emboldening girls and help them find their voice and inspire action. Educate the public on body image issues, the challenges and inspire people to take action.
Marketing Strategy Social Media Promote and communicate the Charity through social media accounts. Maintain viewers constantly updated with present and future activities of the charity by an incentive to attend or/and transmit the message to their friends and family. Communicate the merchandise that is going to be sold at the different locations.
Art Festivals & Markets in USA Participate in the main Art Festivals & Markets across the USA, it will encourage to promote the charity and also obtain revenue through the sale of merchandise. This event will be chosen according to booth cost, participants, and location.
Partnerships Partner with Education and Government organizations to encourage bigger participation of girls across the USA. In this way, many girls from private to public schools can attend workshops offered by the charity. Looking at a further glance the government would sponsor some workshops offered.

It represents a new standard, which is no standard at all, an inclusive beauty. The fill in the blank element [ _ ] represents the idea that it is still a work in progress and that we have to remind ourselves everyday to make it happen. We allow our audience to be able to fill in the blank with erasable pens as part of the reminder. “I” means you and me, but “I” also means one whole. When we feel content, happy, and satisfied with oneself, we would feel like we are a whole. Not anything less than that. So the idea is to let our audience fill in the blank with the “I” as a reminder to love yourself.
