Margazhi is a month that reminds us to step back and take stock of the year that went by. This month was like that rest breath between our yogic postures, a reflection so essential to how we elegantly craft our present without clinging on to the past and without anxiously imagining the future. We are grateful we were able to publish a few issues of Vaak last year and we hope you enjoyed reading our collections. We can’t promise what 2022 will look like for Vaak, but our intent to support good scholarship remains intact. Some people have been instrumental in helping us bring this issue out: Vinay Jain has been generous with his time, wisdom, and patience. A lot of our design choices and aesthetic presentations are by-products of our interactions with him. We are grateful.
