BUSINESS

Money Talk Furthering your education does not have to break the bank. There are many different funding support packages available to help you make the most of your time at college and we can guide you in finding out what you are eligible for. There are also various ways in which Carnegie College may be able to help financially to support your studies; these include help with childcare, housing expenses and material costs and depend on how you choose to attend college and your personal circumstances. Funding questions? Through ILA Scotland you could get up to £500* off the cost of a course, depending on eligibility. Our Customer Services team here at Carnegie will help with applications. Rather than paying for the courses in one lump sum up front, the cost of the course can be spread by making monthly interestfree payments across the year.

* To be eligible applicants must have an income of £18,000 a year or less and be studying for 50% or more of the time needed to complete a higher education qualification.

BUSINESS

GET THE SALES LEAD YOU REALLY NEED The Institute of Sales and Marketing Management, the world’s premier professional sales institute, is delighted to announce the formal accreditation of Carnegie College to deliver its worldleading professional sales and marketing qualifications. There are 766,000 salespeople in the UK with a further 2,525,500 employed in occupations in which selling is a primary responsibility. However, few sales professionals, whether employer or employee, hold a recognised sales specific qualification. The education and training of the sales force forms the bedrock of any successful company, without it market share will be lost and new opportunities overlooked. Dr William Pedley of ISMM stated “The ISMM will only accredit centres which meet its high standards of quality assurance, training staff and student support services and we are pleased to say that Carnegie College demonstrated its outstanding vision and delivery ability.” Andrew Carnegie Business School course leader John Phillips stated “We look forward to a growing and positive collaboration between Carnegie and the ISMM to empower Scottish sales professionals to compete effectively throughout both the UK and the world. Through Carnegie, graduates of the ISMM courses will be able to access ISMM membership and increase their global reach as well as securing the very best sales qualifications available anywhere in the world. We plan to work with other colleges in Scotland to improve access for customers across the country.” The new range of ISMM courses delivered at Carnegie College will provide you with the skills and know how to succeed in today’s competitive business world and are suited to everyone in the sales environment whether you are just beginning your career or are already working at a senior sales or account manager level.
