Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar In 2004, Qatar Foundation invited Carnegie Mellon to join Education City, a groundbreaking center for scholarship and research. As Carnegie Mellon Qatar celebrates its 10th anniversary, the campus continues to grow, providing a prestigious education to 427 students from 44 countries. The university offers five undergraduate degree programs in Biological Sciences, Business Administration, Computational Biology, Computer Science and Information Systems.
The undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar is offered in collaboration with Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar. The program uses interdisciplinary approaches to tackle some of today’s most important scientific problems, and provides students with an education that has both intellectual breadth and depth of exposure to modern research biology. This quantitative program provides students with exciting opportunities to perform handson experiments in a working research laboratory, and equips them with the skills needed to approach scientific problems from fresh angles.
