Youth Activity Guide
Rain barrels were a useful addition to any house during this summer’s drought, but remember to remove them before below freezing temperatures set in. Water that freezes will, of course, expand and possibly crack your barrel and break your connection hoses.
Our goal is your satisfaction! If you are not completely satisfied with any Carol Stream Park District program, class or event, please tell us! We will work to earn your satisfaction. If you are still not completely satisfied, we will transfer your registration to another program or session, or issue you a refund - that’s our guarantee!
Equity Statement Carol Stream Park District provides programs, activities and facilities without discrimination or segregation on the grounds of race, color, religion, national origin, veteran status, age, handicap or disability, sexual orientation or gender.

Governor Quinn Signs Bill to Improve Recreation in Carol Stream
Governor Pat Quinn visited Carol Stream on August 28 to sign a new law (above left) allowing the Carol Stream Park District to complete several new projects that will benefit the community. The law will result in the completion of important recreation projects and create 225 construction jobs. The governor was joined at the ceremony by community leaders at the site of the new Carol Stream Recreation Center, which is currently under construction and scheduled to open in 2013. “The heart of so many communities are public spaces where everyone is welcome to exercise, learn new skills, and enjoy each other’s company,” Governor Quinn said. “This new law will create jobs and help the Carol Stream Park District build the new facilities that its voters approved.”

Cut Printing Costs With Ecofont Cut back on printer ink this winter by trying a new sotware called Ecofont. The software transforms common fonts into eco-friendly versions by insterting tiny holes in the letters. The holes are barely visable when printed but can reduce ink use by 50%. Visit www.ecofont.com for details.
