ADULT TRIPS & EVENTS Stained Glessner
Scrooge
Deck the halls and tour the Glessner House in Chicago, a National Historic Landmark. This 17,000 square foot home was designed in the so-called Gilded Age, when America’s newly rich industrialists were living in modern day castles. The industry shattering design of the house created an integrated environment that is both medieval and modern. Learn the history of the family and the house in our docentguided tour of the home, decorated for the holidays. After our tour of the Glessner House, we head over to the 2nd Presbyterian Church for a tour of the Tiffany stained glass. Lunch is on your own at a local establishment.
This zany audience participation comedy is a must-see this holiday season at the White Pines Theatre in Oregon, IL. The story line is based on a loosely adapted version of Charles Dickens' timeless classic, "A Christmas Carol", featuring Scrooge and his ghostly visitors. Lunch and dessert included at the playhouse.

Variety of class dates and times to fit your schedule! Classes are held at Simkus Recreation Center. The Carol Stream Park District Preschool program has been a community tradition for over 40 years. Through education, recreation, and fun, our preschool program offers a balanced play-based learning approach perfect for first-time and returning students. Our passionate and experienced teachers are committed to working together to provide your child with the most enjoyable experience. We loved it! The kids learned so much and it showed. They were always eager to go to school and would chat nonstop about what they learned. Love the variety of gross motor options now available as well. -Carol Stream Preschool Parent I was really nervous for my son to start preschool as he had never been away from me. On his first day the teachers took him by hand and made him comfortable. I think I had a harder time than he did. He enjoyed every second at school with his teachers and friends and I couldn’t thank them enough for preparing him for kindergarten and giving him the confidence he needed. - Carol Stream Preschool Parent

READ ALL GUIDELINES Meet and Greet The meet and greet is a set time where players, parents and coaches meet each other and hand out any necessary information and in some cases receive their uniforms Player Evaluations Players get rated based on each skill set for that particular sport for the draft/team placement. Drafts are typically for ages 10U and above. All players are encouraged to attend. Placed on a Specific Team Due to the nature of the program, we cannot accept any coach, player or carpool requests. However, one mutual friendship request is honored for players in a league for 2nd grade/8U and younger along with youth volleyball. Request deadlines are the same as registration deadlines (not an early bird).
Playing Up Playing up is not allowed for instructional soccer or tee-ball. For all other leagues, playing up is allowed by one age or grade level. Any player seeking to play up must get permission from the league supervisor prior to registration. Any participant playing up must also register in person. Parent Code Conduct By registering your child you agree to comply with the Parent Code of Conduct.
PARENT CODE OF CONDUCT Sponsorship Opportunities Sponsor your child's team - Contact Community Relations: Pam Falco for sponsorship and advertising opportunities. pamf@csparks.org or 630-784-6123.

FRIENDSHIP REQUEST Registrations Deadlines Players placed on a waitlist are not guaranteed placement on a team. Team placement will only be done when a team is below the established maximum number of participants. Players will not be added to any team one week prior to the first scheduled game.

SWIMMING
SWIMMING The Carol Stream Park District’s Swim Academy has a variety of swim lessons for all ages, starting at six months old through teens and adults. Swimmers are evaluated for swim level placement, and lessons are conducted in either the 25-yard lap pool or therapy pool at Fountain View Recreation Center depending on swimmer level or at Coral Cove Water Park.
MORE SWIM ACADEMY SWIMMING GUIDELINES
Group Lessons • Parents are not allowed on the pool deck. Parents may watch their child from the bleachers, or the viewing section. • Due to limited staff availability, there are no makeups or rescheduling for any group lessons. • Group ratios are subject to change depending on the age and ability of the swimmers. • Swimmers will be evaluated during the first two classes. If the Instructor and Aquatics Supervisor feel the swimmer does not meet the requirements of the class, they will be moved up or down a level to best serve the needs of the child. • If two or more swimmers from the same family would like to join the same swim class, we request you move the better swimmers down. FAQ's Q: What are the ratios for swim lessons? A: Ratios will remain at a maximum of 1:7 depending on the ages and abilities of the swimmers. General ratio guidelines are as follows:

Q: Are there discounts for enrolling two children in the same class? A: There are no discounts provided for enrolling multiple swimmers in the same class. Q: Can I request an instructor? A: Instructor requests are only available on a first come, first serve basis. If the instructor you would like is fully booked, we can place you on a waitlist until an availability opens up. Q: I’m coming from another swim program/park district. How do I know which level is right for my swimmer? A: Please review level requirements in our Seasonal Brochure. If you’re still unsure, contact the Aquatics Supervisor. Q: Can I be in the pool with my child during the lesson? A: During a child’s lesson, lap lanes may be utilized in a separate lane from the one the lesson is taking place. Q: What if my swimmer's ability is in between two levels? A: In order to best serve the progression of the swimmer, please move down to the lower level to ensure the swimmer meets the requirements of future classes. Q: What if I feel my child is too advanced for a class? A: If you feel your child is in the wrong class, reach out to the Aquatics Supervisor, Becks Taylor at beckst@csparks.org or 630-784-6158.
