Fourth Year
Conc ept Pieces that support one another to be in balance, like a puzzle or a Jenga Tower.
Site Santurce, Puerto Rico
After analizing the spaces needed for the Judicial Center I noticed that the different departments that acted independently also needed the support of the other departments an in that way the center can work to perfection, all the departments are co-dependent one of the other. That same idea can be applied to the courthouses or law system because all of the participants (judge, jurors, lawyer, defendant etc.) and evidence have to work in coherence for everything to take place and have a final judgement. I abstracted this idea in such a way that the form of my building clearly pretends to be compound of pieces that lean one on the other to form the assembly of a balanced judicial center.
