Rugby Food and Drink Festival & Real Ale Trail is a four day festival celebrating the amazing variety of high quality food, drink and real ales that Rugby and the surrounding area has to offer. Local restaurants, businesses and cafés will be tantalising your taste buds and serving up a gastronomic feast with some great foodie events that offer a delicious combination of quality food, service, music and more – very scrumptious!

Both fayres will be packed full of delicious and tantalising treats offering a great selection of high quality food and drink, from local restaurants, bars, cafes, businesses, farms and producers. On the menu, over the two days, will be gourmet toasties, BBQ baby back ribs, buttermilk fried chicken, paella, wood fired pizza, artisan hot dogs, organic crepes, Thai, Indian, Caribbean, hog roast, vegan and gluten free food – all freshly cooked, sizzling and full of mouthwatering flavours ready to eat!

What is Real Ale?
Real Ale is cask conditioned or bottle conditioned beer. What does that mean? Basically after the beer has been brewed and conditioned at the brewery it is loaded into casks and sent straight to the pub. It is not filtered or pasturised like most lagers and keg beers, what difference does this make? Filtering removes half the flavour and taste and pasturising it then removes the other half, so those lagers and keg beers have had all the taste removed unlike real aale which is packed full of it. nd dr i d foo by
