REFURBISHMENT OF

The project for the enhancement of the building in Via Dante 7 is the result of particular attention to the history of the building and to the innovative features to be conferred on it in relation to its location in the upper end of the market; for its spatial and figurative appeal and for its typological and technological performances. The project rationalizes the articulation of the spaces according to the two functional destinations indicated, enhances the common areas, enhances the role of the court (from the subsoil to the roof), introduces the theme of green (assumed and also declined in its peculiar iconic values), adapts the structure to the norms. The proposals are adaptable in modular terms, in relation to the targets set for development, and therefore envisage both spatial and temporal flexibility in the interventions and, of course, of an economic nature. Cuban spaces are transferred in terms of slps or physically subtracted, depending on the realization of the panoramic terrace on Via Dante and, in order to enhance the seventh and most prestigious level.

‘I GIARDINI D’INVERNO’

The project area is located in the north of Milan, near the Garibaldi-Repubblica The main body reconstitutes the building curtain on Via Pirelli - characterized by tall buildings, while the two lower bodies interact with the building volumes of context place in South - characterized by low buildings. The building presents a significant presence of balconies that allows a significant relationship with the outside. There is also the presence of bay window, extensions of the interior, and panels made of slats in glass, shielding of service areas - open but protected. The base section is finished with dark wood paneling from external, with sliding blackout doors, finished with the same material. The elevation body is finished with natural aluminum panels, doors with sliding drapes, finished with the same material; the frames are made of natural aluminum.

The intervention, which was born as an agreement between the proposer and the Municipality of Milan in the group of the structures to be carried out at the service of citizenship,. Choosing to have two pools, one dedicated to adult activities and a separate one for children, introduces a further element of flexibility in the management and activities proposed to the territory; Similarly, the introduction of a gym equipped with independent services - with access and control - suffers from the alleged lack of such facilities within the area of the plant reference so that the sports center can effectively represent a reference not only to For the new neighborhood being implemented but also for the consolidated urban context. The outdoor spaces made up of the vast fenced solarium provide additional opportunities for health and recreation, enabling the parallel running of alternative open air practices in favorable seasons.

The intervention must therefore respect the existing building structure and architecture of the Broggi Building and preserve the facades of the Muzio Building, and may provide for the emptying of the spaces of the courtyards. SCENARIOS Scenario 1_ unique retail destination (Department Store) at levels -1 / + 5 and amenities at levels 6 and 7. In terms of space, it is characterized by the emptying of the courts and their transparent cover to level 5; in the courts there will be installed the new vertical connections (escalators and elevators). It is also planned the definition of an “atrium� overlooking Via Grossi through the partial demolition of the floors + 1 / +3. Scenario 2_ mixed functional destination with seven commercial units (medium shops) at levels -1 / + 1, amenities to +2, offices at levels +3 / +5 and special functions at the level + 6; the entrances of the offices are separate from those of the commercial units and placed on Broletto and Protaso streets. In termos of space, it is characterized by the coverage of the first level of the courts to extend homogeneously the commercial spaces on levels -1 / + 1.

YEAR: 2015 TYPE: Private building LOCATION: Puglia, Italy. STUDIO: Caputo Partnership International WORK PHASE: Preliminary design.
The restoration and rehabilitation project of Cava in Contrada Magnone - Specchia is based on certain principles, which have inspired the environmental, morphological, functional and landscaped choices. The project aims, on one hand, to restore the environment of the site through the consolidation of the walls of the “crater� while, on the other hand, to regenerate the flora of the entire area through reforestation, planting of trees and shrubs, targeting both naturalistic forms and geometrized systems. The project involves the use of the specific area of the quarry for entertainment and cultural activities related to theater, music, shows and at the same time the scientific-educational renaissance routes to botanical, floral and geological workshops, etc.
