Fostering Ambition

Welcome to our Spring 2020 Talon Magazine. It is a great time to be a Patriot! Along with the unparalleled success of our students and teachers, Carrollwood Day School is exceptionally proud to have earned membership in the Cum Laude Society. This is an extremely prestigious accolade and validates that our school not only honors superior scholastic achievement, but achieves it.

As you peruse the pages of the Talon, you will see that excellence at our school comes in many forms. From the seniors who are heading off to amazing colleges, to the innovative faculty and students who helped make CDS an entrepreneurial school, to the athletes who balance academics and commitment every day, to the faculty and leadership who strive for continuous improvement, to learn more, and grow.

The bar is forever being raised here at CDS. We are never finished learning. We never stop growing. As a school, as students, as educators, and as leaders. Teachers are fueled by students’ thirst for knowledge and students are inspired by passionate teachers, engaging speakers, and their fellow students.

With excitement and anticipation for the future of CDS, we are "Realizing the Vision" of our Dream. Believe. Achieve. Capital Campaign. The ambitious renovation/ expansion project is moving full steam ahead and the dream of collaborative spaces, innovative design, and a student union will be coming to fruition. With construction scheduled to start in 2020, CDS will continue to evolve to exceed the needs of our amazing community and allow us to remain the leading preschool - 12th grade independent school in Tampa.

Enjoy this issue of The Talon and thank you for being a part of the Patriot Nation.

Best regards,
