COMMUNICATION & DIGITAL MEDIA Fine Arts Scholarships
cdm department chair February 2022 Welcome to Carthage Communication and Digital Media scholarship interview days! We are so happy to have you with us today. My colleagues and I have the best job in the world. We get to have a hand in helping students seize their opportunities and find their ways in life. In the Communication and Digital Media Department, we are committed to leading students on the adventure of molding their passions into skills. Write. Speak. Create. Find your voice. Here in CDM, expect to do it all. Our goal is to help students see they have the ability to make the world a better place. In addition to your scholarship interview, I hope you will pop in the Communication and Digital Media Open House* from 12:00-3:00 p.m. Our CDM Department Fellows, who are current exemplary students, will be your hosts. They will be on hand to chat and answer questions. They’ll also share some of their best work so you can see a variety of projects from classes and/or internships. If you have any further questions about our department, feel free to contact me at any time. Best wishes with your college choice, and I hope you find your home at Carthage and CDM. In the Communication and Digital Media (CDM) Department at Carthage, our goals go beyond technical proficiency. Sure, by sharpening your written, oral, and visual communication skills, you’ll graduate fully prepared for whatever medium you pick. But you’ll also closely examine classical and contemporary theory to make sense of this increasingly mediated world.
