Live On The Granada Stage: Kristin Chenoweth, A Broadway Star

WILDLY TALENTED AND VERSATILE STAR OF BROADWAY, Upcoming, she will star alongside Scott Wolf in the television, and beyond, Kristin Chenoweth commands the stage holiday film The Christmas Song, which is slated to debut on with her brilliant voice, unparalleled panache, and downhome Hallmark Channel in November 2019, and the film Holidate charm. Chenoweth won a Tony Award for You’re a Good Man, which will premiere on Netflix in 2020.

S WE LEAVE SUMMER DAYS BEHIND and shift back into full gear this fall, how can we even think about squeezing ‘us’ time into our busy schedules? Family Service Agency (FSA) is sharing some simple tips to help local couples and families make time for one another all year long – even with full days of work and caring for children of all ages.

“It’s no surprise that after a few years into a relationship, our busy lives take over and partners have less time to dedicate to each other,” said Cynthia MacDuff, Family Service Agency Family Support Services Supervisor. “After a while it seems like everything in our life comes before our relationship. But the good news is that there are some simple tools to help us invest in our significant others. I hope you’ll join us to find out even more.”

FSA’s “Within Our Reach” no-cost couples classes and nurturing parenting program have already helped more than 700 local women and men discover a path to re-connect throughout the year. They find new confidence in their parenting approach and how they handle conflicts with their partner or spouse, and discovering that all couples and families experience challenges along the way in their relationship and raising families.

Try the following three techniques to show you care, and contact FSA about joining a no-cost course.

• Do your part: Couples often fall into the habit of focusing on things they cannot change, such as a partner’s behavior. Those cute quirks can become irritating habits many years later. Instead of fixating on changing someone’s behavior, alter your own in ways that make the relationship stronger. Try small unexpected actions that will make your partner smile like leaving a note on the bathroom mirror. Small, meaningful gestures could inspire them to

do their part as well.

• Make it easy to connect: All people want to be cared for, accepted, and loved within our romantic relationships. But feelings of connection can erode with time unless we put in the effort. Connecting with your partner can be as easy as listening to them about their stressful day, having a conversation free of judgement, or simply telling them you care about them.

Connecting is not about fixing problems or giving suggestions, but rather about showing that you are there for them when they need a friend. Most partnerships have a foundation of friendships and fun, we just have to remember that foundation.

• Have fun: There never seem to be enough hours in the day, but having fun with your partner doesn’t need to be time consuming. Sacrifice five to ten minutes you may have just spent scrolling through your phone and dedicate them to being together.

Perhaps offer a three-minute back massage and ask for one in return.

Share a funny memory of the early days of your relationship that they may have forgotten.

Ask some fun questions: “What does the perfect day look like to you?” “What would be your dream vacation if we won the lottery?” Having fun doesn’t have to cost anything or require extensive planning.

Every relationship can be empowered with some education and discovering that other couples go through many of the same challenges at different stages of relationships and raising families. FSA’s Healthy Relationship Education programs are designed to help couples create a happier home life. And with time being a rare commodity among many couples, FSA is working to make it as easy as possible to attend by offering no-cost childcare and even dinner to attendees.

Milpas Street Corridor Planning

T

HE OBJECTIVE OF THE MILPAS STREET CORRIDOR PLANNING EFFORT COMMUNITY LISTENING WORKSHOP is to discover community desires and needs for the future of Milpas Street, from Highway 101 to Canon Perdido Street.

Feedback is wanted concerning walking, biking, traffic, parking, lighting, parkway trees, and landscaping needs.

A follow-up meeting will be held in December 2019, to discuss potential approaches based on the community’s feedback. Attendees of the workshop will receive a design update on the grant-funded Eastside Green Lanes & Bike Boulevard Gap Closure Project, which will create a new traffic-calmed, low-stress bike boulevard through the neighborhood along Alisos Street, which parallels Milpas Street, providing cyclists with a safe, efficient alternative to riding along Milpas Street.

The new bike boulevard will connect to the Haley and Cota Streets on-street bike lanes, and to Santa Barbara Junior High, Santa Barbara High School, and the Downtown core. Also included in the Project are sidewalk infill sections, curb ramps, and enhanced school crosswalks adjacent to Santa Barbara Junior High and Santa Barbara High School.

The workshop timing is based on California funding grant submittals for the Active Transportation Grant Program and Highway Safety Improvement Program in spring of 2020. Community feedback received will help shape potential project approaches that will be shared in December 2019.

Although not guaranteed, a community-supported project will have a good chance of being funded through these grant sources.

N A CALL FOR CLIMATE JUSTICE, a Global Climate Strike has been called by youth to be held during the week of September 20th to the 27th. Joining the strike locally will be the Sunrise Movement and Dos Pueblos High School students who will walk to Girsh Park, where there will be youth speakers, performative arts, and voter registration.

Student led demonstrations will be held in more than 150 countries during about 4,000 events, all of which will be demanding governments create ways to stay within 1.5c of global heating.

The well known student activist from Denmark, Greta Thunberg has made a call for adults to join the movement. “We need everyone,” she said in an announcement made to the Guardian newspaper.

L OBJETIVO DEL TALLER COMUNITARIO DE ESFUERZO DE PLANIFICACIÓN DEL CORREDOR DE LA CALLE MILPAS es descubrir los deseos y necesidades de la comunidad para el futuro de la calle Milpas, desde la autopista 101 hasta la calle Canon Perdido.

Específicamente, el personal de la ciudad desea sus comentarios sobre caminar, andar en bicicleta, el tráfico, estacionamiento, iluminación en la calle, los árboles, y necesidades de ajardinamiento.

Una reunión de seguimiento está prevista en diciembre de 2019 para analizar posibles enfoques basados en los comentarios de la comunidad. The University of California Divests from Fossil Fuels!

N TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17TH, the University of California announced that it will sell all fossil fuel investments from its Endowment and Retirement portfolios. The $13.4 billion Endowment will be fossil free by the end of the month, and the $70 billion Pension Fund soon thereafter. This total divestment represents the culmination of a seven year campaign by thousands of students, faculty, staff, and alumni who have repeatedly urged UC to consider both the moral implications and financial dangers of continued fossil fuel investments.

The announcement was made in the form of an Op-Ed in the LA Times signed by Jagdeep Bachher, Chief Investment Officer, and Regent Richard Sherman, Chair of the Investments Committee. Sherman and Bachher emphasized that the decision to divest was based on financial considerations, specifically the judgement that fossil fuels are risky investments without compensating prospects for growth. Combined with the overwhelming moral imperative to preserve a functioning biosphere for future generations, the recognition that fossil fuel investments are too risky should push other institutions to also divest.

“I am proud of the UC Regents Investment Committee’s decision to divest, because fossil fuel assets are a risky investment with low returns.

As the world’s top public university, it is fitting that UC is helping the world understand that divestment in fossil fuels is financially, socially, and ethically wise,” stated Clair Brown, Prof of Economics, UC Berkeley.

In subsequent discussions, they confirmed that the divestment will include not only stocks but also the bonds that fossil fuel companies use to borrow money to finance exploration and development of new oil and gas reserves. Divestment will include both directly held assets and those in externally-managed funds, and private as well as public equities.

Finally, divestment will include not only the corporations holding carbon reserves, but also the companies that are focused on the extraction, transportation and burning of such fuels, and smaller companies as well as major corporations. This comprehensive approach reflects UC’s judgement that the fossil fuel industry as a whole is a risky enterprise.

The UC Fossil Free movement was begun and sustained by students who were joined by the faculty, eventually resulting in a divestment request to the Regents that was approved in June 2019 by 77 percent of

the voting faculty across all ten UC campuses. For Bachher and Sherman, who assumed their current positions five years ago, divestment has been a continuous evolution. UC rejected the student demands for divestment in 2014, but then divested from coal and tar sands stocks in 2015. While gradually divesting from fossil fuels, UC has been investing about $1 billion in clean energy. Additional growth in this direction is expected, considering that UC has $126 billion in total investments, and energy is about eight percent of the U.S. economy.

“Of course there is a financial argument for divestment, we’ve been telling the UC that for years. But divestment is also symbolic. When institutions divest it emphasizes the role the fossil fuel industry has played in spreading climate change denial so it can continue to extract and burn five times more coal, oil, and gas than is safe. Divestment is financially prudent, but in the context of climate emergency it is also scientifically mandated and morally imperative,” added Emily Williams, former Fossil Free UC campaign director and current UC Santa Barbara graduate student.

The University of California is one of the leading universities in the world, and its decision reflects and reinforces the growing consensus that a rapid transition to a carbon free economy is inevitable. UC’s clear position will support parallel divestment movements at Harvard, Yale, MIT, and other major universities, as well as for state pension funds such as CALSTRS and CALPERS. Beyond divestment, members of the UC community are working to fulfill its commitment to carbon neutrality by 2025. Another major focus is education: regardless of humanity’s response, the climate crisis will have a major, and quite possibly defining, influence on the world that UC students will live in.

“Financiers strive to be the first to abandon a declining investment.

Fossil fuel companies have borrowed trillions of dollars to acquire and develop carbon reserves, on the promise that they will be extracted and sold at a high price. When the financial consensus no longer has confidence that those promises can be met, then fossil fuel companies will no longer be able to develop new reserves. UC’s decision to divest is a major milestone in creating this new consensus, and thus keeping the carbon in the ground,” noted Eric Halgren, Professor, UC San Diego.

The 2nd Edition Of The Call To Action Film Festival

A

POWERFUL WEEK OF CINEMATIC DOCUMENTARY VOICES delving into real-life examinations of contemporary issues, the Santa Barbara International Film Festival will present its second edition of the Call to Action pop-up film festival. The screenings, over a week’s duration, will be held at the Riviera Theatre. Seven films will screen in addition to panel discussions moderated by SBCC Foundation CEO Geoff Green, in many cases. The panels will offer face-to-face conversations with the filmmakers as wells as local and professional experts. The series kicks off on Friday evening, September 27th and runs through October 3rd with a welcoming reception at the Belmond El Encanto Hotel.

Sponsors, filmmakers, and pass holders will talk about the anticipated documentaries with emerging discussions of situations and issues that will be illuminated.

Friday’s kick-off screening at 7:30pm is the Santa Barbara premiere of Gay Chorus Deep South with director David Charles Rodrigues in person discussing the themes and motivations behind making his empathetic look at the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus traveling through the deep South on a tour. The film was the winner of the Tribeca Film Festival’s Audience Award and offers a message of hope and unity in a time of divisive cultural and social issues surrounding legal proceedings against LGBTQ citizens. The screening is co-sponsored by the Music Academy of the West and the Pacific Pride Foundation.

On Saturday, September 28th Changing the Game will screen at 1:30pm and include a

panel discussion afterwards with the director Michael Barnett and other guests. The story looks at the realities of transgender high school athletes in different areas of the country showing their individual and challenging pathways. The filmmaker illustrates their day-to-day encounters and their courageous resistance to their fellow students, teachers, and families.

Also scheduled on Saturday is Artifishal that exposes the world of fish hatcheries and the environmental impacts, from pollution to valued waterways to negative consequences for native fish species. The director, Josh Murphy, will appear in a panel discussion following the screening.

Later on Saturday, The Cat Rescuers screens, presented in partnership with the Animal Shelter Assistance Program (ASAP), co-directed by Rob Fruchtman and Steve Lawrence. Set in New York City, this documentary focuses on the eccentric folks who are devoted to the well-being of the Big Apple’s gigantic urban population of stray and wild cats, a probable treat for animal lovers of all stripes.

On Sunday, September 29th, screenings will include American Factory from filmmakers Julia Reichert and Steven Bognar. This film was the

winner of the coveted Grand Jury Documentary Prize at last January’s Sundance Film Festival.

With working-class and industrial subject matter, the film will be followed by an onstage discussion with the film’s producer Julie Parker Benello; Nelson Lichtenstein, Professor of History; Rich Applebaum, Professor Emeritus in Sociology and Global & International Studies; and Lucas Zucker, Policy and Communications Director for the Central Coast Alliance United for a Sustainable Economy (CAUSE).

Sea of Shadows, directed by Richard Ladkani, will follow, sponsored by the Whale Sanctuary Project, which won the World Cinema Documentary Award at Sundance. This film is an eco-thriller with scenes revolving around the near extinction of a rare whale in the Sea of Cortez with criminal cartels, black-market figures, and shadowy corruption in chase of these wild ocean creatures.

The screening will also include a panel discussion.

Sunday night concludes with For Sama, codirected by Waad Al-Kateab and Edward Watts.

Philanthropists Meg and Dan Burnham were introduced by UC Santa Barbara Chancellor Henry Yang. Accepting the award for the couple, Dan Burnham expressed his gratitude and amused his audience, “An effective speech must have two important elements: a good beginning and a good ending. Very little between!”

Santa Barbara Foundation President and CEO Ron Gallo presented the award to Opera Santa Barbara after the montage Palmer Jackson with Legend Honorees Opera Santa Barbara depicting 25 years of opera represented by Joan Rutkowski, Opera Santa Barbara’s board productions. General and Artistic chair, and General and Artistic Director Kostis Protopapas Director Kostis Protopapas accepted the award with gratitude on behalf of the organization. Joan Rutkowski, Opera Santa Barbara's board chair later exclaimed, “Celebrating our 25th year and being honored this evening is a tribute to Opera Santa Barbara's profile in the cultural community.”

The final award was presented to artist and comedian Carol Burnett who was introduced by her friend, author Fannie Flagg, following a montage of familiar clips of her many successes.

“Of course, I had nothing to do with your success, Carol,” Flagg insisted as she humorously credited herself with Sarah and Roger Chrisman with Sara Miller McCune all of Burnett's many hits on stage, screen, and television.

Accepting the award, Burnett expressed her gratitude for the honor and her good fortune to be a resident of Santa Barbara. Most of the guests assuredly agreed. Being part of the cultural scene in Santa Barbara, supporting The Granda Theater and the performing arts, and being present for this wonderful celebration is what it's all about … a Gala evening indeed!

HE SPECTACULAR AMBIANCE ON STAGE AT SANTA BARBARA'S GRANADA THEATER was the setting of the 5th Annual Legends Gala that took place on Friday evening, September 13th. Mysterious black lighting accented by blues and rose highlights illuminated each table on stage with fanfare accompaniment from the first balcony by the Santa Barbara Symphony’s Brass Choir. This signature event is one of the season's most highly anticipated evenings and features inspiring honorees, extraordinary talent, and dedicated patrons of the arts. The 2019 spotlight shone upon philanthropists Meg and Dan Burnham, Opera Santa Barbara as the cultural organization, and famed artist and local resident Carol Burnett. This spectacular 'star studded' evening was co-chaired by Anne Smith Towbes and Merryl Snow Zegar.

The main event was preceded by a reception during which the guests had an opportunity to nosh on delicious hors d'oeuvres and enjoy wines and spirits. Chrisman Executive Director and President Caren Rager, circulating among the guests, exclaimed, “We’re delighted to honor this year’s outstanding Granada Legends. Tonight’s sold out event is a spectacular showcase of The Granada Theatre as we celebrate our honorees and thank guests for their generous support of The Granada and the performing arts.”

Sarah Chrisman, an honoree with her husband Roger at the first Legends Gala, also expressed pride about the ongoing development of the Granada Theater and the arts in Santa Barbara, sharing, “I am so proud of what was accomplished here on behalf of the community and how it all came together. We have left a gift for generations to follow.”

Meg Burnham, one of the 2019 honorees along with husband Dan, chimed in with enthusiasm, “It's all about the Granada, the jewel of our community!”

As the doors to the theatre opened revealing Palmer Jackson with Legend Honorees Meg and Dan Burnham the brilliance on stage of color and lighting, guests found their tables accompanied by the Paul Dukas directed musical fanfare. What followed was an evening of dining, accolades, and entertainment.

Michael's Catering provided the evening's menu accompanied by an assortment of Westerly, Curtis, and Margerum Alan Glaser, Fannie Flagg, and Susan Gulbransen wines. Santa Barbara's acclaimed Master of Ceremonies Andrew Firestone kept the program moving from both balcony and stage. Talent was showcased between courses beginning with a beautiful aria from Mozart's Magic Flute performed from a theater box by Jana McIntyre and projected on the large screen on stage, accompanied by aerial dancers Emily Auman and Skyler Storm. Also performing were principal dancers Ahna Lipchik and Francois Llorente from the State Street Ballet, who entertained with a beautifully choreographed salsa worthy of an appearance on Dancing with the Stars.

On Saturday, Sept. 28th: 2-3:30pm: Screening of The Collector, by award-winning New York filmmaker Maria T. Alvarado. It documents Donald Dreifuss, who is a gardener, artist, collector and color aficionado.

3:30-4pm: Screening of Giselle, a dance-narrative based on the original ballet, where a peasant girl falls in love with a noble man.

This film is a 23-minute modern day political interpretation, which includes a migrant girl and her similar story. Directed and written by award-winning filmmaker Severine Reisp, formally from Santa Barbara, with the State Street Ballet; she now lives, studies and creates film in New York.

4-5pm: Screening of Quartet for the End of Time, in Studio D. Introduced by performing arts reviewer Daniel Kepl, the film salutes and documents French composer Olivier Messiaen’s classical masterpiece that he debuted in a World War II prison camp in Poland on January 15, 1941. Directed and produced by H. Paul Moon.

T

HE WHOLESALE COST OF RAW AND PARTLY FINISHED GOODS both fell in August and are negative in the past year, suggesting little inflation in the “pipeline,” according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Wholesale inflation has fallen from its high in 2018 as the Trump tax cut stimulus has worn off, though the increase in the core rate of wholesale inflation over the past twelve months rose slightly to 1.9 percent in August from 1.7 percent. Economists prefer core inflation readings because food, gas and trade margins can swing sharply from month to month and mask underlying price trends.

The reason? President Trump’s trade negotiations have pushed his poll ratings back below 40 percent

in the latest ABC News poll. Six in ten Americans now say a recession is likely in the next year and as many are concerned about higher prices because of the trade war with China, helping to knock six points off President Donald Trump’s job approval rating in the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll.

This is putting downward pressure on prices, as such fears reduce the demand for goods and services in general. Ratings of the U.S. economy overall, 56 percent positive, are down from 65 percent last fall in this poll, produced for ABC by Langer Research Associates.

Most ominously, 60 percent see a recession as very or somewhat likely in the next year. That’s within sight of the 69 percent who said so in November 2007, one month before the onset of the Great Recession.

In another measure, Trump gets far more criticism than credit for his economic stewardship. Americans by nearly a three-to-one margin, 43-to-16 percent, say his trade and economic policies have increased rather than decreased the chance of a recession in the next year.

“Inflation fell earlier in the year and is running short of the Federal Reserve’s two percent target,” said MarketWatch, “but the decline in prices may be coming to an end.

Some measures of inflation indicate prices could be creeping higher again and economists warn that higher tariffs on Chinese goods could feed into inflation also.”

Is that so? In fact, goods’ wholesale inflation was unchanged, indicating falling demand for manufactured goods that are mainly exported, whereas wholesale service prices overall rose 0.3 percent and were boosted by a 6.4 percent monthly jump in guestroom rental while goods prices fell 0.5 percent overall. Consumers are snapping up domestic purchases, in other words, with soaring retail sales during the approaching holiday season.

services are relatively stable, however, and that will give the Fed more room to cut interest rates if the central bank believes the economy needs a boost.

The Fed is widely expected to reduce rates (as it did since the writing of this) as an antidote of sorts to the damage caused by the trade war.

Centre for Aerial Dance To Become Company In Residence at CAW

HE SPACE ABOVE THE COMMUNITY ARTS WORKSHOP will be generating new interest and excitement this fall, as the Centre for Aerial Dance takes over that unusual space, according to a new agreement reached by the Santa Barbara Arts Collaborative and Santa Barbara Centre for Aerial Dance this week.

“The Arts Collaborative couldn’t be more excited to host the Centre for Aerial Dance,” said Casey Caldwell, Managing Director of the Community Arts Workshop. “Their special combination of artistic excellence, love for community, and empowerment of young dancers is a perfect fit for the CAW. The Centre for Aerial Dance began residence at the Community Arts Workshop on September 2nd.

“Our new residency will transform the way we approach craft and community,” said Ninette Paloma, Artistic Director of the Santa Barbara Centre for Aerial Dance. “We’re looking forward to drawing inspiration and collaboration from our new neighbors in the theatre and arts district.”

The Santa Barbara Centre for Aerial Dance has spent 13 years cultivating a unique esthetic and a movement language unlike any other. “Every season, we throw open our studio doors to shift and shape the way aerial dance is defined on a global scale,” said Paloma. “After 13 years, we believe we’re on to something pretty fantastic.”

And yet the art of aerial dance was never their end game. Because what really defines the Santa Barbara Centre for Aerial Dance, what keeps them in the studios late at night and into the early mornings, is the possibility that they might actually have a lasting impact on how artists walk through this world.

“We’re working to encourage strong, hardworking, confident, emotionally intelligent, and artistically aware human beings that move through their every day with chins higher and shoulders more defined,” Paloma added.

Each four-month series (September-December and January-April) will include skill and technique development in the aerial disciplines of fabrics, metals, and invented apparatus; contemporary dance concepts; choreography and performance development; and works in progress showings. We believe that when you have brilliant, big-hearted artists working in proximity with each other, great things will happen that you wouldn’t have imagined before. Having SBCAD here long-term, alongside the theatre artists, visual artists, festival artists, and all the other creative people that use our space, adds a huge figure to that equation,” stated Rod Hare, Co-founding Board Member of the Arts Collaborative.

The Santa Barbara Arts Collaborative new round of renovations include roll-up doors and windows to rooms that had previously been exposed to the elements. Five Local Museums Offer Free Admission on Sept. 21st as part of Smithsonian Magazine’s Museum Day

O

N SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 21ST, five Santa Barbara County museums will open their doors free of charge along with hundreds of other participating national venues for the 15th annual Museum Day! The participating local venues are Elverhoj Museum of History & Art, Guadalupe Dunes Center, Santa Barbara Maritime Museum, Santa Barbara Museum of Art, and Wildling Museum of Art and Nature ~ which will emulate the free admission policy of the Smithsonian Institution’s Washington, D.C.-based facilities, encouraging learning and the spread of knowledge nationwide.

Museum Day represents a nationwide commitment to access, equity, and inclusion. Over 450,000 tickets were downloaded for last year’s event, and Museum Day 2019 is expected to attract more museumgoers than ever before.

Museum Day tickets are available for download at Smithsonian.com/ museumday. Visitors who present a Museum Day ticket will gain free entrance for two at participating venues on September 21st. One ticket is permitted per email address. A list of participating museums, which will be continually updated, can be found at Smithsonian.com/museumday/search.

CONFLUENCE OF CIRCUMSTANCES will bring eleven celebrated local artists to the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History the last weekend of this month for “The Artist’s Table Art Show.” 50 percent of proceeds of the exhibition will benefit the Museum’s 2020 summer exhibitions Butterflies Alive! and an amazing display of gems, minerals, and fossils. ISTORIC SALT AND SILVER PHOTOGRAPHIC PRINTS, more than 100 Curators Hope Kingsley and Charlie remarkable examples on display at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, access both the Wylie, SBMA Curator of Photography photographic process and artistic results of early photography. The exhibit, Salt & Silver: Early Photography, 1840–1860 was organized by the Wilson Centre for Photography with the Yale Center for British Art, New Haven, CT. “This is a project that began back in 2014, when the Wilson Centre and Mike Wilson particularly wanted to get a way to bring the best of early photography into an exhibition that would show off prints that are 150 to 170 years old but were of a pictorial and material quality to really give us access to how photography looked in its own time and how it looked to the people who photographed it, and how it looked to their audiences,” commented exhibition curator Hope Kingsley at the opening reception last week.

The seldom-displayed prints survey the first two decades of photography’s evolution through the salted paper print process, unveiled in 1839 by the English scientist and scholar William Henry Fox Talbot (1800–1877). Talbot’s invention was a scientific and artistic breakthrough that created an entirely new visual experience. Salt prints are velvety and soft-textured, with images formed by light-sensitive chemicals embedded in the fibers of the paper’s surface. These handmade photographs range in colors from sepia, violet, mulberry, terracotta, silver-gray, to charcoal-black hues. The salted paper technique was efficient, portable, and versatile, traits that allowed the practice of photography to spread across the globe from the early 1840s onward. Featuring the work of more than 40 practitioners, Salt & Silver traces their networks and geographical reach from England into Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, India, China, Mexico, and the United States.

“This exhibition will provide such a great educational opportunity for all of us, myself included… to actually see where photography came from,” stated Charles Wylie, Curator of Photography and New Media at SBMA. The SBMA presentation is the final opportunity to see this exhibition after being on view at the Yale Center for British Art, New Haven, CT, and the Ruth Chandler Williamson Gallery at Scripps College, Claremont, CA.
