It’s indirect; riding street. People go on road trips and they hit a certain tranny in Barcelona or a certain stair gap in Philadelphia or some bad ass ditch in Texas, but it’s all removed from its source. It’s all scavenging. Granted, it is more than impressive to see the creativity and talent that comes out when some riders come across an obstacle created for some municipal purpose and create some awesome display of flight or technical ability or… whatever. The thing is, that obstacle was built by some architect that is probably dead, and if he’s not spinning in his grave at what he considers the desecration of his creation, he sure as shit isn’t impressed by the exploitation of his construction. Riding street is fun, but it is just making the best of what another person has made for you. There is no time put into its construction (on the rider’s part), there is no painstaking thought process of meticulous fine-tuning, and since we as riders haven’t worked for these buildings or trannies or stair sets, we have no right to them. Riding street is just the exploitation of someone else’s creativity, and with that comes all the other bullshit that is inherent in riding street; you get the dirty looks, you get the chases from security guards, you occasionally get arrested, and you say, “what the fuck man! I’m just riding my bike, I didn’t do anything wrong.” Maybe not wrong, but not intended, and let’s be honest, that can be part of the fun. But then there are the dirty hordes out in the woods building art with shovels and dirt; they are the architects. Their fear is the bull dozer, the greedy developer; not the security guard. They don’t worry if someone doesn’t want them to receive satisfaction from the obstacles in the woods because they built those obstacles in the woods. When you go on a trip to different trail spots, you do more than ride something a stranger built for some foreign purpose, you meet the people that built these amazing things, you help them maintenance these constructions, and then you enjoy them together. More often than not you end up shooting the shit with these people over too many beers and end up sleeping on their living room floors on top of the empty cans. Whatever the case, there is a relation that exists in riding trails that doesn’t exist in riding street. Call it camaraderie if you want, but there is a grounded sense of fellowship when you go to a new spot and see how they shape lips or use their tools or route their drainage. I’m extremely impressed by all the bars that are being raised in the realm of “street” riding these days, but it is one thing to strap on your man pants and go bomb down some thirty stair set and another to devote years of your life to creating a place you want to ride that you’ve made exactly as you want it to be. Brakes, no brakes, it doesn’t matter to Max. He kills everything regardless. Hefty 360 table top at Burgh Heath

Ben Bishop. 15 years old, lives in Hastings… DFA! Or don’t fuck around for those not in the know. Ben started off the trip pretty quiet apart from the jokes and digs with creasy and lil Phil but soon came into his own. Ben’s a chiller and from what I saw, prefers a street nib to an indoor park. He’s pretty street tech and he also skipped school to go on this trip. Baaare tings blud.

Arhhh the youth of today. Gotta love ‘em. Nuff energy on this one from the crack of dawn on the Friday morning right up until the handrail session at the services at midnight on the way back home. Literally straight outta the Galaxy after driving for four hours and with another four hours to go. Energy is contagious.
Ain’t nobody does no handers quite like lil phil. To the moon and back at Unit 23
The white paint ends at around 8ft from the deck of the ramp. And said ramp is only 4ft tall and pretty mellow. Jamie getting way up there at Unit 23
The idea behind this one was to take a few of 4downs up and coming rippers up to the Unit 23jam up in Scotland to get their faces out a little and to give them a taste of what the whole travel and jam environment is like. The trip included Fits Phil Martin, Animal flow rider Ben Bishop and front wheel tech ripper Jamie Guile of United bike Co through Brighton BMX shop. TM for this one was none other than the Creasemeister, I like Tom; he’s a funny dude. The trip left Hastings at the crack of dawn on the Friday morning and headed straight to Leeds to meet up with Cleggy and pals. 2 or 3 service stops and 35G’s of pick and mix and burger king later and we rocked up at The Works to be greeted by said Clegg along with Chav Lee, who is a complete bad ass on a bike and a sound geeeeeeza, and Canny kid. Canny kid is another northern gem. Who in their right mind truck drivers out of a 6ft quarter onto a 5ft tall sub box that’s 5 foot back from the coping…. On a 35 year old S&M war pig! Canny kid, that’s who! Amazing.
Van driver, trip host and all round Mr Nice guy, the Creasemeister, slings the bars at the works for Cleggys camera
Big thanks to the guys at the works for letting us ride there all afternoon. Be sure to check out the park if you’re up in Yorkshire. I’d say the works is a pretty damn near perfect example of how an indoor park should be run. Various rooms full of well maintained and perfect ramps, a decent kitchen, fully stocked BMX shop; Notion, sofas, TV’s, a climbing wall for those inclined… The Works has it all.
We left Leeds around 7ish to continue onto Scotland. I don’t know why but the last hour or so just seemed to take forever. Black sheep and brick walls all over the place though along with some pretty memorable quotes kept us all in high spirits and constant laughter.
CaseBMX 17
Here comes the second thanks of this write up… Chic Mailey at unit 23. What a dude. The guy is just psyched on providing the kids of Scotland with all their BMX needs. 2 huge rooms for of ramps, the little devil bowl replica, which is mental, and a full on set up where people sleep, party and no doubt get up to all sorts of wild shit. I remember seeing a shady looking wobbly strippers pole in the corner of a room that’s full of sofas and is presumably where fun happens at the jams…. Who knows and I’m not one to speculate but damn I can imagine fun is had. Chic was also good enough to let us sleep at the park on the first night. I am very grateful to Chic, but not to The Creasmesieter who told me there was beds at the park causing me to not bother bringing a sleeping bag…. Thanks man!
Big thanks to Ian at Tom at 4odwn for arranging this one. Thanks to the riders on the trip and to Cleggy and chic for making our trip as fun as humanly possible. I can’t stress enough how refreshing it was being around kids that are just down to ride at any hour and at any spot. I remember waking up one morning at about 8:30 and by that time the guys had been riding the park for almost 2 hours. Dedication. Where’s the Irn Bru at!!
Phil martin. Lil Phil, what can I say. Phil is a shredder. Phil can really pump a transition and go really high. Rarely hanging up and always boosting with style. Phils no handers are insane. No night of the living dead here, arms fully extended to the point of no return.
S&Ms Lee Fletcher. Wall ride to table during the works sesh in-between selling all sorts of wonderful smoking goodies
Lil Phil and his no handers up to no good again. This time via a wall ride over the in-famous elbow hip in Leeds
Jamie Guile. Jamie is something else on a bike and could probably hold his own on the United pro team. Yeah, he is that good. Super nice kid, down for a ride, down for a smoke, down to talk shit. Jamie doesn’t care too much about trends and the current goings on in BMX, he just enjoys going for a pedal and finding new stuff to adapt his skills on a bike to. Simple as.
This is wild. From the transition on the far left of the frame all the way into the vert wall. If you’ve been to unit 23 then you know how nuts this is. United and Brighton BMX’s Jamie, from Worthing Sequence: hopper to nozza and into the steep flat bank at The Works

When I Get Lucky
Kentucky Words and photos Ryan Cason
I was at work when I received a call from Nick. Not sure I should answer it for the chance of getting busted I went for it anyway…he normally doesn’t call unless it’s important. I’d just gotten back a couple days before from Orlando, working on an interview with him, which was my second trip out there. Nick wanted to know if I’d like to go to Kentucky with him, his cousin David, and our mutual friend Leevi. I don’t know about anyone else but when I think about KY and BMX I think of that massive concrete park with lights on all night and bikes allowed all day. I was down in a heart beat with only a few things bothering me like how was I going to do a twelve hour drive by myself and not fall asleep or afford that much gas money. I accepted, regardless. The following weekend I drove from Beaufort, SC to the first rest stop across the Kentucky state line and slept in my truck. The next morning I woke up at 7a.m and proceeded to make the last leg of my trip through the beautiful Kentucky scenery to Louisville or so I thought. Not long into the drive I was in the middle of nowhere with nothing but dirt, run down barns, and gas stations that resembled old houses from the early 1900s. Unfortunately, I was low on gas and the Waffle House coffee I was drinking was making me need to use the toilet big time. Needless to say, this forced me to veer off the safe and comforting highway and visit one of the sorriest excuses for a gas station.

Leevi. Hang over tooth pick that I didn’t even have time to set up before he pulled this flawlessly. Is it still first try if it’s the next try with my camera?
I made my way around, and knocked on the door to see if anyone was in the multi-sex bathroom, but with no answer I opened the door The air was frigid and bitterly cold as I stepped out of my to see what I was getting into. Leaving was the truck. Normally being able to see my breath entertains best idea, but I couldn’t hold it any longer so I me quite easily, but I was uneasy, as the air smelt of gas, locked the door behind me. I started to clean off the toilet seat and lay down fresh toilet paper as some type of manure, and cigarettes entered my nostrils. I filled up my truck but still needed my receipt a liner before I went about my business. Shortly and to release the demons inside that were causing so after starting, I heard a vehicle pull up followed by footsteps approaching, when all of a sudden much discomfort. the door started jarring around. I got nervous, They aren’t lying when they say coffee is a the kind where you’re in too much shock to say natural laxative. As I reached for the door handle, I thought of watching my brother play Resident Evil when anything. Thankfully it stopped, but all I could we were kids and how the screen only showed the door think about was the scene in Dumb and Dumber where Sea Bass breaks into the opening from the other side, never showing what you bathroom stall to find Lloyd there at 2:15a.m. were about to enter. Stepping in I was smacked in the face with a thick layer of smoke that looked a lot like a sharp. Next thing you know the door is blasted open by some man-woman who hollered, “Dang foggy morning and, trying not to cough, I asked for my ya’ll, hurry up!” receipt and if there was a bathroom I could use all the I did just that, quickly hopping into my while still not completely sure I wanted to risk getting truck driving back onto the freeway, noticing some type of disease in the process. “Out back,” was the that the I-75 North and South signs were only response I received, hand gesturing which direction pointing in the same direction (south). It was to go, attendant never looking up. at this point I was wondering what I had gotten myself into.

I’d like to thanks to everyone who was involved in making this trip happen. Those people are as follows: God for keeping us safe the entire time, Nick Mahoney, David Mahoney, and Leevi Wilson for riding hard and doing tricks again even though I got the shot the first time (or missed it completely). Also, for all their help when it came to setting up and breaking down my gear. Mr. and Mrs. Newman and their son Zack, Hannah Johnson and her friend Natalie Shrock, and Mia Chambers for giving us a place to shower and sleep at night; Alex Lansaw for showing us places to ride and finagling his way into this article; Zack for the mini ramp session, and everyone else we met along the way.

Can you explain again whats up with the stories you told about airport security and golfbags? Dude, Airlines piss me off! I’ve been flying so much the last 3 years it crazy! Everytime i go to the ticket counter it’s a different story. I have a Ogio Golf bag that i put my bike in. It’s just under 50 pounds. Most times i get in and they have me check my bag in to oversize. But when they start asking questions it can get messy. If the person at the ticket counter asks me, What do you have in the bag? I never tell them i have a bike. It can cost up to $150 if they find out i have a bike. I tell them i have trade show equipment. If they open it and see that it’s a bike i tell them it’s a wheel chair. This really pisses em off. Other times they know it’s a bike and i get in to aurguments about why it cost nothing to take Golf clubs but a bike in a golf club bag cost’s $150. It changes from city to city even though you didn’t change airlines. Whats your top five best songs? I don’t really have a top. But Lateley ive been listing to a lot of John lee hooker, Deer tick, and a bunch of shit that i just stole from Leland Thurman. Would you rather party and sleep with random chicks or chill at home and take it easy? t changes from time to time. But know when it’s time to chill and when it’s time to party. Whats your age and where are you from? 27 from Oregon.
What is pipes full name, his age and what do you like the most about him? Laurence Edward Williams, hes 26, he can be pretty funny sometimes. What do you dislike? He won’t ever tell you whats on his mind. If he even knows. You guys have had trails for years. Your new spot is more dialled than anything you’ve done before. But how much work does pipe put in? he puts in alot of work, hes usually tinkering about down there most days On a scale of one to ten, how good is pipe at drinking? 3 or 4, i’ve never seen him being sick from drinking and hes pretty shit at taking a shot to. But he does get pretty loose and has a good time. so maybe hes pretty good. What is the weirdest thing you have seen pipe do? ah man, theres probably a million things, but i like the story, when he took his girlfriend on a date to the carwash The nickname, pipe. Where did that come from? someone from school said his neck and head were the same width..... Pipe is a tweaker, but can you sum up why in the shortest sentence possible? probably something to do with add or adhd or whatever all that stuff is. But there is no answer to it. If pipe had an interview in a magazine, who would he thank and who would he give a big fuck you to? He would thank the whole lightsinthewoods crew, leeroy n revs at stolen, howies, jibb, segment crew, Will herrman and Tinhed, Prettyshady joe. He’ll tell the oxford mail, Kids and Dogs to fuck you
PIPE LIM Words and photos Mike Netley
Pipe is tweaked but this X up is even more so
What is Limas full name, his age, and what do you like the most about him? Lima francis phenox Eltham, 23, and probably his sense of humor. what do you dislike? when he thinks its funny to burn me with matches or piss on my shoes. How do you feel about lima dissapearing to Austin for 3 months whilst yourself, Aidan, poll etc etc dialed in the trails? We spend most of the year trying to dial the trails. we’re constantly building or dialing it feels, so it doesnt make any difference really. At the time he went away we were actually doing less than we had ever done due to insurance issues. And anyway, if i had the oppertunity to dissapear to Austin for 3 months I deffinately would. So would any of us. Soooo not bothered. On a scale of one to 10 how good is lima at riding bikes and do you ever get jelous? I’d say a 7. hes good but theres room for improvement. and no, im not jelous. the only person im slightly jelous of is javis cocker. or maybe iggy pop.
E& MA
take on me...
My ex girlfriend used to think lima was hansome, what do you think of the way he looks? Do you perfer that half ass mohawk on the trilby hats? I cut his hair so he generally looks alright. The nick name Lima, where did it come from? This one time when we were in Austin, me and lima went out dressed as the sex pistols. Why when ever Lima leaves the trails does everybody else feel it necessary to leave? Nobody wants to stay at the trails. Its just Limas the only person willing enough to make the first move. If Lima had an interview in a magazine who would he thank and who would he give a big fuck you? me and you.
Hands up if you think you’re rad… Yeah he is

Compression owns Jems Muller. Invert between filming sessions
DVD review Compression DVD This DVD does exactly what its suppose to. It showcases the amazing sets of trails the fine country of France has to offer as well as a few other spots from a few other countries like the greatest country in the world; the UK as well as one or two others. Imagine this if you will as more of a documentary. If your expecting wild trick after wild trick then forget it, how ever, if you have a love for riding trails and look at building trails as an art form then this is for you. Consider this if you will a little master piece for all true trail riders/builders out there. It’s worth picking up a copy just to see these perfectly sculptured mounds of dirt and their beautiful surroundings. Filmed and edited by Jeremy Muller and clocking in at almost an hour long with a good rocking sound track. Available with the more recent issue of Soul BMX magazine or from compressionbmx.com or soulbmxmag.com.
Bone Deth “surfin’ for the ugly broads” Surfin’ for the ugly broads. Think about that name for a second? Pretty weird right? Well it only gets weirder. I hate surfing. Id love to say I hate how gay surfing looks and how stupid and hippyish surfers look but that’s not the reason. Fact is, I’m not a great swimmer and am shit scared of going under. Not too bothered though, it just so happens you can use surfboards to pick up chicks. Ugly chicks apparently, but chicks nonetheless. So, I’m going to pick up a surfboard in the week and go ‘surfin for ugly broads’ next weekend. I have it all planned out in my mind and it looks great. Hot pick up line, flirtatious games with drinks on the beach, fancy dinner, cocaine and cocktails in the hot tub and the nitty-gritty there after. I’m excited. I want to see how this surfin’ for chicks thing works and if it doesn’t work then Elvis can give me my money back! I’m going to tell you about the Bone Deth DVD. I don’t really want to, I’ve been racking my brains for days thinking of something to write but here goes. The only way I can think of starting this is by saying ‘Wow! This is something else. Something obscure, something incredible, something fucking wild which can only be plain and simply put, strangely amazing.’
That would be it right there. That is my ideal review. Strangely weird with amazing riding and hot babes to accompany it. Just kiddin’.The riding is so good. Think of dead bang as a starter and this as the main meal! God knows what’s for dessert. Riding aside, which I promise you will leave you gob smacked, this DVD has character, and character is becoming something of a rarity in these modern time. Boobies galore, and I like that, weird zombies, also an interest of mine, and other weird shit which I just cant get enough of fills this video with something no one else can offer. I dread to think what goes throw the minds of the Bone Deth crew which consists of Sean Burns and a rather, what would appear disturbed set of Boston characters. And to tell the truth I dread to think what goes on in my mind because I’m really into this. Filmed across the US of A from Boston to San Diego and with an equally as amazing soundtrack full of weird old punk stuff with complimentary freaky noises through out. When was the last time you watched a BMX video and half way through a section were wild party scenes, bondage scenes, and wild zombies trying to abuse strippers wearing very little and holding machine guns? I thought as much. ‘Surfin’ for the ugly broads’ is available across the world from all good BMX stores right now. If you want a preview, check the trailer on video or pop into your local shop but don’t expect this to be on repeat on the shops TV during business hours. Mike Netley
TomDavis // Interview I’D FIRST HEARD OF TOM, LIKE A LOT OF OTHER IM SURE, WHEN HIS SEASON BIKES WEB EDIT HIT THE INTERNET IN THE FORM OF A TCU EXCLUSIVE LATE LAST SUMMER. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I WAS BLOWN AWAY AND WANTED TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THE DUDE. THE EDIT WAS WAY BEYOND WHAT ANYONE ELSE OF HIS AGE WAS DOING AND NOT JUST IN THIS COUNTRY, ON A WORLD WIDE SCALE. A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO I WAS APPROACHED WITH THE IDEA OF A FEATURE ON TOM AND IMMEDIATELY JUMPED AT THE CHANCE. SAID FEATURE ENDED UP COMING INTO ITS OWN WORRYINGLY CLOSE TO DEADLINE DAY AND IF IM HONEST, I WAS SWEATING IT NOT BEING DONE IN TIME. TOM AND CLEM SET A WEEKEND TO MAKE A START, AND GUESS WHAT; TOM HAD GOTTEN IT ALL DONE IN THE FIRST WEEKEND. BUT THAT WASN’T ENOUGH, TOM WANTED TO MAKE IT THE BEST HE PHYSICALLY COULD AND SPENT ANOTHER WEEKEND SHOOTING. FURTHER CEMENTING IN MY MIND THE THOUGHT I HAVE THAT TOM IS, INCREDIBLE. I saw people doing tricks I thought only pros could do
Rail 180 Previous spread; Tooth hanger
All right, lets do the normal crap, Name, age and current location? Ok, I’m Tom Davis, 18 and I live in Market Harborough near Leicester. Ok, that’s the easy part done. Daily routines if you please. On a week day: On a weekday I get up at 7, go to sixth form till 3, and recently I’ve been getting a train and riding in Leicester till 10 ish afterwards as the weather is much better now. All this is about to change as I finish my A levels this year, so much more time to ride! And, on a weekend: Weekends, I normally will go out with my mates from sixth form on a Friday night, we all get on pretty good, but none of them ride, so on Saturdays I’ll go see everyone from Leicester, recently I’ve been going a bit further out to places like Nottingham or Coventry for the day. Then on Sunday I work in the morning, which gets me pretty pissed off as I want to be able to ride both days! Most of the time I’ll ride in the afternoon but it just makes it more of a hassle having to work before. What got me stoked on BMX when I first started was by stumbling upon it by pure chance through being in Southsea one weekend that so happened to be the same weekend that the king of concrete event was held. I remember peeking through the gaps in the skate parks 10ft high steel fences and seeing the pro jump box comp go down, it was nuts. How long have you been riding BMX and what got you interested in the first place? Well for me, there always has been a 60’s concrete bowl really near my house. But I think I completely got into it about 4/5 years ago, when I met other riders from Leicester who were loads better than me, that’s when I saw people doing tricks I thought only pros could do, I remember going to the last backyard jam in Sheffield around that time too, after that I just wanted to ride more and more. What gets you motivated these days to go out riding? And what gets you motivated to produce for interviews and web edits when the occasions arise? I think that interviews and web videos are different in what you want to achieve, getting the chance to do an interview is defiantly an honour, so I feel a certain pressure to put the effort in to get photos that I’m stoked on as you might never get another chance. With a web video I get influenced more by seeing other good videos, but I don’t see much point in skate park or day edits, as there are so many of them on thecomeup that they’re never going to stand out against all the others. You had a good few web edits come out in 09, one in particular being a TCU exclusive which had 60+ comments and none of them being negative. How did that feel being the only dude to never get shit through that website? Ha-ha I got plenty of shit for the other ones though! I definitely didn’t expect the most recent edit to get such good feedback, I hoped it would, but me and Jack Blount (who made it) used some pretty basic camera equipment so I thought we might get flamed for that. And with the riding, you always feel like you could have done better! But yeah, Jack and I were stoked on the comments in the end.
What’s new in 2010, I don’t recall seeing any web edits yet? I’ve just been riding and having a good time, trying to keep a balance with BMX and studying is difficult too. But I do have plans to film a 2010 edit later in the year, I want it to be different to the last one, more lines and less single clips. How much of an internet junkie are you and would you rather bust your ass for 6 months and put out a really amazing video part for a good video that’s eagerly anticipated or produced a bangin’ web edit within one month? Yeah I’m defiantly pretty bad for internet use, I try to stay updated with BMX stuff, usually through TCU but I go on other stuff too, regarding video parts, I would love to do a proper video, but I’ve never had that chance, so a good web video would be enough for me.

The product with Season is really good, I’ve been running samples for the last year and I haven’t broken a single part, so it definitely feels good to be able to fully trust what I’m running. I also just got added to the Sunday UK team too, so I’m hoping to get on some trips sometime in the future. So, 5 year plan? If there is one? Yeah, I’m just finishing my last year of A levels now, and I have some University offers to reach. If I do get the grades, the plan is to ride a lot in my gap year and then go to Uni afterwards.
If I don’t get the grades I’ll have to rethink that strategy! I said the same thing, What do you think your chances are of sticking to said plan? I think it could go either way really, it depends a lot on how riding goes in this next year, and on my A level results, if I get the grades that I need then I’ll have a deferred entry to uni, so I’ll take a year off, but then start my course in September 2011. If I don’t get my grades then I would definitely reconsider whether to go to uni or not, because I wouldn’t get to go to the one I originally wanted to. Or, if this next year goes well, and I get to travel a lot and just have a good time, I might just not bother with uni at all, just got to see how it goes.
What do you like to do besides riding? Are you the party type? I just turned 18 so I’ve been going out a lot more recently, my mates from sixth form don’t ride so we usually go out at the weekends, we’re going to a few of the festivals this year too, which are always a good time. I like that. It’s cool that you have other friends besides riding ones. I pretty much only hang out with dudes that ride bikes and to me it kinda sucks. Yeah I like them all, but sometimes its cool to do other things and to talk about non-BMX related stuff. Do you have any hobbies besides riding? Or is it just the socializing? Yeah it’s really cool, everyone in sixth form get on really well, recently we’ve been getting the BBQ out and having a few drinks in the evenings, and at the weekend there’s always people around, I don’t actually have any other hobbies or activities that I do or anything, we just chill usually. Not too long ago, around the time of the UK elections, we were speaking and you brought up the topic of elections. Is this something that interests you or something you study? Yeah it definitely interests me, I study economics, so the election and new government is pretty relevant to what we learn about. I do take a natural interest in it too, but it can also get pretty dull at times. What is currently playing on the reg on the Ipod? My current favourites are Smashing Pumpkins, particularly the ‘Mellon Collie’ album. Earlier Modest Mouse stuff, Joy Division and The Clash as well. And recently Johnny Cash ‘The Man Comes Around’ and some Neil Young, which is defiantly some of my Dad’s influence. I change my mind a lot but those are bands that I always keep listening to. 38 CaseBMX
Damn that’s some great bands to be into for a younger dude. Dads influence? So do you have musicians in the family or just a strong love for music? My younger brothers in a band, he’s constantly doing local shows so I think they’re gonna get to play outside Leicester soon. But yeah my Dad’s a big influence on my music taste, wouldn’t have heard of many of those bands if it wasn’t for him. You live in a scene where BMX really hasn’t had much exposure. To you, does that mean the scene is not as good as a lot of other places of does it mean that you’re constantly finding and riding completely undocumented terrain? I think I prefer it to be honest, I can go filming or shooting photos and not have to worry about all these pros coming in and blowing everything up, except I do like showing people around, normally you get a surprised reaction as Leicester is defiantly overlooked when considering how good some of the spots are. And yeah we still find new stuff all the time, just got to take the time out to find it.
You live in a scene where BMX really hasn’t had much exposure. “I think I prefer it to be honest, I can go filming or shooting photos and not have to worry about all these pros coming in and blowing everything up ”

just enjoy riding and don’t get too serious with it I reckon
Any words or wisdoms? Shout outs or anything you want people to know? Nah not really, just enjoy riding and don’t get to serious with it I reckon Thanks to you, for sorting this interview out, and to Clem and Matt for getting the pictures in. And thanks to my parents for all the times they paid to fix my bike and gave me lifts to places, they have always helped me out. My friends for all the good times we’ve had, and Jamie and David at IMG for the last year, it’s been awesome so far. Opposite 180 40 CaseBMX

No kids on scooters. No aggravated kids getting pissed off and throwing their bikes across the park cause they cant land that trick they’ve been trying for the past 3 hours. It’s just a group of mates riding and having fun. Not out to gain anything other than a good time. we had s tumbled on upon something good, something pretty hard to find these days. a spot of our own tucked out the way previously untouched. So we have spent the majority of out time scouting around every industrial estate, every marina to find more these things. What are they?! Their are massive molds for boats. Some guy will find one on weekend, word will get around the small scene quick then the following weekend we all get together down there for a few hours ride which is more appealing to us than going to ‘the track’ or bowl. We could go to these spots that are available and there at our disposable courtesy of the local council, or.... we can go ride these boats. Just a few of us, no one else. It’s different, its not like hitting a quarter at a skatepark and going ‘mate the transition on that is rank’ just cause it not like your local or the one you rode last weekend. Everyone of these boats is different. I think its our love for riding quirky ‘shit’ transitions and the sense of adventure in tracking down and finding your own little spot that’s tucked out the way and knowing that few will make the effort come down. Its these reasons are why we will keep riding these for the foreseeable future. Go out, explore, build do whatever. Sure you’ve been given these skateparks and fallacies which are all well and good, but there is so much more available if you just put in a little time, and trust me its worth it.

So Jimmy, you just got back from a few weeks in France and the UK. How was it and what was the purpose of the trip? Awesome trip, seeing old friends and hanging. I went over to meet some city officials and check out the Fise contest! It was great, crazy tricks going down at a cool fest that was comparative to a slightly smaller XGames. Great job on their part, thanks so much to the Fise crew for the invite! Then I went over to England for a couple weeks to hang with old Metal team rider/great friend Ross Tanner in London, then Rob Castle in Southampton. When hanging in London I knew that I had the best London scene tour possible in the bike world...fuck bike, just best London tour period! Crazy days and loose nights, proper city views, great job Ross. One crazy thing though was having lunch in the
48 CaseBMX
London Fields one Saturday and hearing POP! POP! twice and see a gang of dudes running through all us groups of people in the park. One of the dudes shot and killed a dude, about 100 feet away from us! Thank park needs to change it’s name to Comp-don. Ross hangs with some cool cats so the group of friends was always fun. I hopped in the Van with James Hitchcox who’s company Zeal distributes Metal Bikes in the UK now, and we drove to Southampton to hang with Rob for his B-Day! Rob lives in a cool set up with his Girlfriend Jade and three or four other attractive Burlesque dancer Chic’s, not a bad scene! Met a lot of the bmx scene dudes from there and got to film some good clips of Rob! Not only did I get to film good riding clips of Rob, but I went with them to a show they played in Wales and filmed their set! Good stuff!! Rob is quite the front man, with a great band behind him! great times!
I was on a road trip right before with Team Shralp to LA for the Pink Motel pool party. On the way back I jumped a train in Sacramento to go visit and ride with some friends in S.F. I was just riding the Hubba Hideout ledge like I have many times before since the early 90’s and my front peg pops off early and rolled the shit out of my ankle running down the stairs! It’s getting much better now and back to correct skin color, but it was swollen as shit and all black, blue and purple! With it wrapped I can now hop curbs again, so it could be have been worse. Metal seems to of been going through a few changes as of recent including some team changes and also some neat looking new products on the way as well as much more I’m sure. How are things on the whole? Change has happened, Sean and Ferbert are making Bone Deth a larger company that are doing bikes as well! I happy and proud of them, do your thing dudes! I did the same thing in 1998, cool. Change can also be a good thing, a new start! I’m stoked as shit on the quality of our frames and products, so the rest is just getting the dudes out there! I just picked up Austin McCabe / Joe Dirt from Bone Deth on Metal a few weeks ago! The team still rules so I’m happy. What’s the plan for the rest of the year for your self? I’m finally able to ride again after all the gnar injuries over the last 3 years, I’m going to hit some spots! I have summer plans to meet up with team guys on a few occasions for us to hang, ride, shoot and film some shit. Stoked to be back in BMX! And the company plans for the remainder of the year? Start rolling again with a slightly smaller team and an awesome new line of bikes and products! Any closing words of wisdom of thoughts? Let yourself heal, it takes less time than re-injuring yourself. Thanks, Jimmy
Words and Photos by Devon Denham Leland Thurman is the man behind Shitluck Clothing based out of Louisville, Kentucky. When he’s not planting grass seed in his yard, working on his motorcycle, or hanging out with his cat named Stoopid you can guess he’s probably working on Shitluck. Every time Leland and I have sat down and talked he always has some sort of story to tell. That’s what I find so interesting about Leland and Shitluck. So I decided to ask Leland about Shitluck, and see what’s up with the company. So Leland, when did you start Shitluck, why did you start it, and why did you name it Shitluck? I started Shitluck back in 2002 after a bunch of freak health issues, accidents, girlfriends dumping me on valentines day, my cat dieing, my car getting broke into, driving in a snowstorm with no radio, a stolen bike, and a broken arm. So I guess that’s where the word Shitluck comes into to play. I can’t believe we’ve been here for ten years I’ve been asked a million times if I named it after the Modest Mouse song ,“Shitluck“? after hearing about this song I listened to it and fuck no its not... ha. You told me you get a lot of kids emailing about internships at Shitluck which is kind of funny, but you told me that you’re “Hoodrich”. Is Shitluck doing well or is it going under? Internships... ha. yeah you can come feed my cat, cut my grass, and watch me sit in my underwear while I play Farmville on the computer.. ha. Shitluck is ran out of my house and the stock room is in a spare bedroom. Shitluck is what is. I’m an old dude trying to hang with a bunch of young dudes. Shitluck is a family and when the family dies Shitluck will go with it... so until then we are doing fine. ha. Do you see yourself settling down soon or do you still see yourself traveling as much as you do in the future? Yes on both of those, its weird when you get older you still have a shit load of fun but it in a different way. Priorities change it’s the little things in life that makes you happy. My cat, my yard, my motorcycles, and still yes my BMX bike. My back is shot, but I at least like to get out there once or twice a month just to peck around. I travel more to visit old friends than just to ride my bike. There’s still a shit-load of stuff I haven’t seen in this world. How many Shitluck tattoos do you have? Hell, I can’t remember... five I think with one to go..
50 CaseBMX
Are you planning any more road trips in the near future and where? I think we might go north? I dunno. Still working out the bugs on that one... It’s hard to watch my dudes growing up getting real jobs and settle down with their lady friends. I find it more hard trying to get everyone together at the same time. But yea, where going somewhere soon. oh yeah, I’m going to a motorcycle rally with a bunch of dudes from the old Section 8 Skatepark, Lou Bickle, and a few guys from the old Chenga... we’re still on bikes I guess you could say. Shitluck has had a pretty full crew of dudes are you planning on adding any new riders? Nope we’re not adding another dude. Full boat here. If I did the only dude I would add is Vince from Cleveland... he’s a bad ass.

We moved to this house when I was . . . six? Ya, I’m pretty sure I celebrated my seventh birthday here. My mom wanted to move closer to work, which was in the downtown Orlando area.(30 min away) Our previous home was on the same street. We lived in a mobile home, a stones throw away. My parents looked for a new home all over the area, but it didn’t take long for them to stumble upon this mystical wonderland. They had absolutely no idea what this house would bring . . . every laugh, every fire, every shovel scoop, every bottle of whiskey. There is no way either of my parents could have ever conger-ed up in their wildest most innocent dreams, what this place would become. Honestly when we moved here, I was so young, the only thing on my mind was trying to convince my mom to let me ride my fucking bike to elementary school and letting me go to the grocery store so I could get a sweet toy from the bonus aisle. When your that young you don’t think of mortgages, land values, and keeping a job. My mind is so mile a minute, I didn’t even realize what this place was till a few years ago. I’m 23 now and I almost feel blind for not understanding this place better until recently. My parents and I moved here to be a family, to grow old and probably, in my parents eyes, live the rest of our lives here. We moved from a literal trailer style mobile home, that my dad had for almost ten years, to a three bedroom home, with a lake, on an acre and a half of land, placed far in the woods away from world. To them they had won the lottery the second they found this place. To them nothing could have been better then seeing their name on the deed to the property known as . . . . . . 71 N. James Covigton
Growing up in the central Florida area being a trail rider is not the easiest thing to do due to the lack of places to dig and the poor soul we have to deal with and at the time a few kick ass indoor places to ride. know that at a young age of 16 or so years old I made plans to beat feat the second i was done with high school. I did my best to save as much money as a 16 year old could as it got closer to moving my trails got plowed and i was stuck riding inside and some random street spots around longwood, altamonte springs and downtown Orlando when I got the chance. The day final came when i was off and moved up to Pittsburgh Pa. I started hearing stories of these Little fuckers from Casselberry that had trails in there front yard(under 4miles from where i grew up in longwood) where they bough all there clay and had lights,In my head i am thinking there is no way that this could be. Fast forward a few years. A few of these kids came up to ride our local spots in the greater pittsburgh area I ended up meeting these younger kids and i think at the time they were about 17 maybe little did I know that these were going to be some of my best friends years later. As the years starting flying by and my family bike shop back in Florida grew they need my help more and more I started to travel down to florida every winter i very quickly... 62 CaseBMX
... learned that all these stories about these trails were true it was crazy not only dialed blue groved trails but they had a kick ass scene. Every time i came down it ruled more and more it was just something about 71n they had dialed trail bad ass parties every day and night kicked ass it was like a huge adult play ground but every winter had to come to a end and I was on my way back up to Pittsburgh Pa. Pittsburgh was my first home away from home and i love that place amazing friends, trails, Iron city, and the steelers it the city of champions. I was getting over my job i was working for nothing and i was getting a little older a I need more than just some shit job that payed 8.50 a hour I started talking with my parents and we started working out the very slow process of me being back in the good ole sunshine state part of me want to stick it out just to
ride a few days a week and the trails, but it just wasn’t working at the time I felt side tracked. Back fully time in Florida, I was back this is when i started really finding out about the Casselberry trails It was more than just good jumps it was the center of a entire scene weather it was riding the trails having cookout swimming in the shit lake in the back, a place for gut ruckus to practice, or getting shit drunk in the back yard around a massive fire, fuck we even met x girlfriends their it was insane. As we grew the scene did as well. So with all that being said i would like to thank All those young little FUCKERS i have no clue what or where i would be with out you guys at 71n your the best and no mater how many blog post there are other write ups in magazines there is no way in hell it could ever be fully explain you had to of lived it or atleast some of it. mike cottle
CaseBMX 63
Growing up at the trails has led to a ton of ridiculous events. Anything from digging/ riding the trails and having a couple beers by a fire, all the way to stealing wood to build a six foot mini and lighting things you shouldn’t a blaze. There have been a ton of laughs and hangovers as a result of this weird place. There is one story, stashed far in the back of my brain, that stands out. This story took place when a strange fellow by the name of Paul Sarkisian (later given the name Paulzilla) still lived at the house. The tale of Paulzilla is a spectacle all on its own, but needless to say this was one crazy mother fucker. Paul was out drinking Crown Royal at the bar while his son Aaron and all of us had a raging keg party at his house. Paul had just got done kicking one of his delinquent roommates out. Left behind, for what ever reason, was the ex-roommates Ford Bronco. Paul and “ex-roommate” had a huge falling out, and needless to say, this guy wasn’t getting his Bronco back. It was winter, a time when trail sessions and drunken bonfires happen daily. This night turned out to be very different. It had been raining all damn day, which meant the trails weren’t running and everything was too wet for a fire. What on earth did we do? Keg Party? Oh hell yes! Right when everything was shredding and everyone was pretty hammered, we got the news about the roommate and his Bronco. This led to the bright idea to take this guy’s truck mudding around the lake that surrounds the property.
After one phone call and the OK from Paulzilla, our plan was set into action. We didn’t make it very far before we realized we couldn’t get fucking thing started. The next thing you know people are just beating the shit out of the vehicle. Aaron stalls everyone for a moment to phone his dad and let him know that this truck is getting fucked up. Paulzilla, as hoped, sends us on our destructive path. Windows were smashed, tires were slit, sledge hammers were used, and the entire color scheme of the truck was changed with the help of about 100 gallons of house paint that had been collecting in the yard for years. It was a great night but the most excitement came when Paul arrived on the scene. The look of disbelief, almost anger, sent shock waves down our spines. Is he pissed? Is he going to kill us? Neither. Within seconds he was laughing at the pile of hell we had turned this guy’s truck into. I’m not sure of a lot of parents that would condone this activity at their house, but like I said. Paul was one crazy mother fucker!
In the months that followed a small amount of anxiety filled everyone who came to the house. All we could picture was the old roommate coming back to retrieve what was his, and committing mass homicide when he saw the remains of the vehicle. This never happened. The bronco stayed in the backyard for months after the incident. It was a reminder of how crazy things got and how much fun it is to party at the trails. I’m not sure what the point of this story is, other than to make you chuckle. What I do know is the happenings at the Casselberry trails changed the minds of a bunch of us growing up, and still reminds us to this day that sometimes you just gotta say fuck it and wreck shit with your buds! ... Things are looking good. http://savakas.co.uk
A22’s somewhat of a monster of a website, the come up, have their shirts now available in the UK via Scott at Crucial BMX in Bristol. All the designs that are available that you see on the website you can get from crucial to head over to http://www.crucialbmxshop.com/ and check them out. The designs are printed on really nice soft shirts, which fit just great. The come up is huuuuuge so i’m sure these things will be going fast.

Chris Hardy As always, old man winter comes back to visit and as his stay this time brought freezing and permanent white out conditions, most riders accepted fate and hit the indoor park or sessioned the couch and its varied time-killing wonders. There are always the others though, that will look for that dry, lit, non-bust spot. With some imagination thrown in, a piece of flat ground should keep the fires burning. However if you’re lucky enough to have found somewhere, I hope you realise and make the most of it. Which brings me to these photos. We’ve spent countless hours here: a flatbank with a deck, the wall ride and the occasional sub-box makes this place one of the simplest, rawest , endless and fun spots to play out. I’ve been riding here since’92 and I’m always surprised at the lack of people that ride there, especially during the past winter. On the flip-side though, it means it’ll never become a bust and a session is always guaranteed. Bank Under Bridge - est. 1992 Chris Hardy

The OSS interview Interview by Mark Noble Photos by Scott Marceau and Levi Brewer
As he admits himself, Adam22 is probably the most interviewed and profiled non-pro rider in BMX right now, so why on earth would we want to roll out another? Well, for starters, we wanted to find out more: Adam has some pertinent points on the state of BMX right now, being that he runs one of the biggest forms of BMX media – namely, The Come Up website. Love it or hate it, there is no denying TCU’s influence on BMX. I do find the one thing about the negative comments targeted at the site, on the site itself, a little strange – posting anti-TCU or anti-Adam comments on the site is just like walking into McDonalds and loudly protesting about its business ethics and nutrition standards to everyone present, and then ordering a Big Mac and fries to go. If you don’t like it, well, don’t use it. But we are all well aware of The Come Up, and that’s not really what we’re talking about here – unless you’ve been locked in a cupboard for the past year or so, you’ll know that Adam is about to release the first product from OSS, a new parts company he and a few friends are building – and this is promising. The first full-length DVD, namely Football, is due out any day now and judging from the trailer, this looks bananas. OSS’s business modus operandi may be slightly different to the standard BMX brand, but at its heart remains a passion and drive to make good things for BMX, for the riders. And that’s what we’re all about too. So let’s dive in with the interview.
Right then Adam, what’s on your daily schedule for this fine day in May 2010? Today I actually woke up a little early and answered a bunch of emails, posted a few things on the site, then rode my bike four miles to the tattoo shop and got a big piece on my stomach outlined. Stomach tattoos aren’t fun, now I’m back home, just posted a few more things and answered a few more emails, about to go hit the gym and run a few miles, then come back and eat. And then I’m heading to Harlem to meet up with the owners of Crooks & Castles and do a little networking, then back home and a 20 year old art school girl’s coming over to snuggle. I don’t really have an average day. OK, OSS – already you run one of the biggest web sites in BMX, is that not enough? I mean, I understand the creative urges, but aren’t you busy enough as it is? Nah, I mean TCU is a full time job for sure, but in my mind, there’s never enough work to do for someone like me that doesn’t really like to sit around and chill. I’m not sure what the meaning of life is, but the meaning of my life is just to make the most of what I have and do everything I can, to the best of my ability. Given all that I’ve accomplished with TCU I felt like I was in the perfect position to start selling bike parts. I think that marketing in 2010 is all about having a direct relationship with the consumer. Any kid who emails me is going to get a response within 24 hours. They can add me on Facebook, they can see what I’m up to on Twitter, they can see what I think of videos every day on TCU. There’s no room for ‘image’ anymore, the streams of information are so open these days. I just knew that I could do a better job than a lot of companies out there and the response we’ve gotten already, even without having anything out there, makes me think I’m right. So why do a parts company specifically? I never really thought of it that way... I guess a parts company is less work than a frame company, and more work than a clothing company, so it seemed like it just made sense, haha. So which came first – the parts, or the team? I had the idea to do the company, and then just went to work on filming the DVD while trying to get the parts figured out along the way. I had a few false starts in terms of working with different companies on production, so it’s definitely taken longer than I hoped it would but things are coming together pretty nicely now. The first ever OSS trip happened in March of 2009 so it’s definitely been a slow process, but I’m totally happy with how everything’s been going. 90s era pro, Byron Anderson showed us this spot and Mastroni did it justice with a tire ride

OSS has a pretty strong team – tell us about it. The team is Rory Ellis, Charlie Crumlish, Mike Mastroni, Garrett Reeves, Alex Platt, Craig Passero, Devin Feil and Jake Seeley. I can’t even remember how some of them got on the team. There were dudes who were supposed to be on the team that we never ended up getting a single clip of, and then someone like Alex Platt who I never intended to put on the team ended up filming a ton of awesome shit. What’s been great is that everyone on the team was just super motivated to film full sections. It seems like some companies with big name, well-paid teams decide to do a video and the riders dread it and try to get by with as little footage as possible. It was the opposite for us because most of the dudes on the team hadn’t really had video parts before and they were all just excited about the video and wanted to film the best things they could. That kind of enthusiasm is priceless. Had you asked anyone else to join the team, who said “no thanks”? Nah, the team came together really organically. They are all some of my closest friends and I never even had the conversation with any of them like, “hey, do you want to be on OSS?” it was just a given since these are the dudes I’ve been hanging out with and filming with.
The odd position Alex Platt is in here is mostly due to trying to avoid those windows over there while jumping this big rail hop
Dream team time: who else would you want on board, but can’t? Well I always wanted Chase Dehart on the team, but he was on Shadow up until about a week ago so I never really discussed it with him. Even now though, I wouldn’t really want to talk to him about it unless I was able to offer him the proper compensation, but maybe that’s something that could work out in the future. Only other dude who comes to mind is Mike Taylor, he is one of my best friends and I love him to death, but he has a good thing going with G-Sport so his friend Nailz is our first UK rider.

Craig Passero is young, muscular and can bunny hop really high
So when will Football be coming out? That trailer was perfect. Thanks, yeah the trailer definitely got a lot of attention. Football should be out in July. Mike Mastroni and I did almost all of the filming and Mike’s going to be editing it. Originally, working with Mike on OSS was one of the biggest things that got me motivated. I watched some of his edits online and knew he’d be the perfect dude to do the video. He’s a perfectionist and takes forever to do shit sometimes, but he’s never made a bad edit, he really puts his all into everything he’s involved in. We all did a bunch of traveling mostly on the east coast, and then we all shacked up in Austin for four months and filmed non-stop until everyone got hurt and that really let us finish the whole thing. It’s hard to say what people are going to think of it, but it’s definitely what we think a video should be. It’s all street, short and to the point. We just kept a really high standard the whole way through on everything, from the filming to the riding to the editing, we didn’t want to look at it a few months down the line and regret anything.

So why actually make a physical DVD, when surely every video is free online? I think a physical DVD is outdated for sure, but there isn’t really a good alternative yet. A DVD fosters the physical act of sitting around watching a full-length video with your friends, which doesn’t really exist with web videos. I think that in a few years with things like Google TV or the advancements they’re making with iTunes and TV compatibility, it’ll make sense to put your video up for sale on the internet and people will then be able to download it and watch it in full from any computer and the piracy will be pretty minimal, but right now that doesn’t really exist yet. It exists but it’s not streamlined and it hasn’t been socially ingrained in the audience yet. Speaking for right now though, we made the DVD pretty cheaply so we don’t need to sell 5,000 copies to break even. Plus the idea isn’t to necessarily make a profit from the video, if some kid goes and watches it on Youtube then that’s fine, the idea is moreso just to use the DVD as a platform to show everyone what we’re all about. I’m confident enough that that average rider who watches it on Youtube is going to get the picture and want OSS parts on his bike.
Mastroni delayed leaving Austin by an extra 2 days so he could manual this wiggley playground worm. While in Austin he also got addicted to cigarettes and fell in love with every girl he met
So which other of the more established BMX companies do you most admire right now? I mention this in every interview but Animal really laid the groundwork for what I want to do. Not image-wise necessarily, but just being a really legit group of friends and doing everything yourself, that’s what OSS is all about to me. So how will you sell OSS parts? Umm, we have had offers from some of the biggest US distributors, but I think that we’re going to be doing everything ourselves. I think giving up the ability to sell direct to mail orders and shops just doesn’t really make sense for us, but you never know. Also we’ve got a website that Rich Hirsch and I own called Them that sells everything from Stranger, OSS, Fremont and other brands we’re into which lets us sell some limited edition stuff and things that mailorders might not be interested in or that we want to sell in limited quantities. Overseas we’re messing with a bunch of awesome distributors. So what else can we look forward to here with OSS? I have one dude that I’m pretty sure is going to be on the team after the video comes out, but we want to get the video out before we make it official. It’s hard to even think about the long term since I’m so caught up in the short term, I guess the long term is just to do everything we can, to the best of our abilities. Keep traveling and putting out video projects whether they’re online or on video and really just hanging out with my friends, riding bikes and filming shit, that’s the most important part.
“The Come Up and OSS mean so much to me, and the kids”... ... can smell bullshit when it comes to bike companies. They can tell what companies don’t really give a shit and are just trying to make a buck. Everything I own is the opposite of that”
Five years from now, where will this all be? Sometimes people ask me why I work so hard on everything and am so obsessive about this shit, and it’s because without BMX, I would probably be in jail or just another shitty kid still hanging out in the town I grew up in working at CVS or something. I’m not afraid to fail, but I do everything possible to avoid it. The Come Up and OSS mean so much to me, and the kids can smell bullshit when it comes to bike companies. They can tell what companies don’t really give a shit and are just trying to make a buck. Everything I own is the opposite of that and that’s why everything I put out does so well, because the riders understand it’s from the heart and they understand all the hard work that goes into all of this shit. Five years from now TCU will still be the biggest BMX website and OSS will be bigger than anyone reading this can imagine it being, and it’s all because of the riders who appreciate that what we’re doing is sincere, so thanks to them. And thanks to you, Mark. CaseBMX 77

Warren Daniel Words and Photos Ben Mark
Warren Daniel’s to make it simple, is a raw talent! My first memories of Warren, he was just another little kid ridding the park getting in your way, and telling you about every new trick that he has learn’t! Well not much has changed other than the fact there isn’t many tricks that he hasn’t done and he has defiantly hit puberty. There has been a far to many hilarious moment’s in warren’s company including watching a lonely women pick her nose and eat it on the way to Corby! Calling his brother at 6 am on a Sunday morning getting him to open the front door when we were still 180 miles away, or when we saw a guy get smashed in the face by his apparent annoyed other half! What has always impressed me with the way Warren rides is his ability to just go to some location and pull something out the bag, that you didn’t think was possible, whilst everyone else is just thinking about padding up.

Warren + any BMX = Pure Talent
Knowing Warren for a long time has its benefit he is always around to go ride with, there isn’t many dull moment’s, and you get the chance to go to his house, which means you get the full mummy Daniel’s service, which him and his brothers have for granted! A little bit about the Odyssey rider, he’s 17, down to earth, hates his job with a passion and has two unfortunate football hooligan brothers! He used to ride motocross but now his BMX keeps him sane. Its good to see some natural talent come out of Crawley, along with Joss Fenn, the pair of them tear everything up around the streets, and completely own every do-able line down the skate park.
