Inspiration: Make-up bags
I decided on makeup bags for my assignment because I personally have a lot of trouble with neat storage of my makeup on a day to day basis. The biggest issues I have trouble with include organisation and easy access of my makeup. My designs will fix this issue with lots of different compartments and space. It will also mean that I will be able to have a makeup bag that isn’t pink.
Design One:
Large (Home storage)
For the first design in the range I will be creating a large storage unit that is intended for home storage of makeup. The biggest issue my survey found that people have was organisation and storage so I have decided on this design because the compartments. Each compartment is sized to be the ideal size for different makeup items, brushes and pallets will be stored in the side compartments and each of the middle compartments will store smaller makeup.
Design Two: Medium(Travel size)
The Medium design has been created in order to organise makeup when traveling the tress compartments will store the makeup and they will flip out on each side so that all of your makeup will be laid out in front of you.
Design Materials: The materials I will be using for this assignment will include plastic bags, plain and patterned fabric, buttons, zippers and sewing equipment, at the moment I am hand sewing my makeup bags however I should be upgrading to a sewing machine soon.
