accepted projects METRICA - TOPOGRAPHY AND CADASTER COMPANY /branding, logo design, print

Branding for METRICA consisted of visuals focused on topographic contour lines, pin point for the logo suggesting the identity of the the company. The main three colors of the brand itself are lead colors on maps - green, gray and the versatile, universal white to balance them all. The materials here showcase logo, proďŹ le picture and cover picture for social media, car sticker, business card, document folder, envelope and document template. The whole design process was lead by the keywords modern, precise, strong, geometrical, different so as to represent, at full potential, the idea and the values of METRICA.

Since 2017, when I first took up this project, I worked at creating the visual identity for every event that Boardgamers Convention organized. The actual conference happens once per year, now they also have a camp, which I am also responsible for in terms of branding and building their image. The materials showcased represent the whole branding and printing package from 2018, which I worked on from scratch, including the illustrations. In the same year, I updated a bit the logo I created a year before, in 2017, and this was the final version of it. The whole idea was to create something that was visually suitable for families, children, boardgames passionates, teenagers. It had to be something versatile,friendly, but to still have the `games` theme, to be colorful and interesting. This is what I came to. The final design package consisted of several posters with the schedule, the map, posters that could help people get orientation at the location of the event, the official posters, the social media package with posts, profile picture and cover photos (both event and page), billboards all over the city, stickers, T-shirts for the volunteers, flag and flyers.

The idea of the visual identity of Zilele Jocurilor is to have a different illustration each year but in the same time to keep its branding, colors and typography. This was a series of illustrations I made for social media, but after, the ďŹ nal illustration for the 2019 edition was the one on the sticker. I adapted the illustrations to different materials, such as the name badges, the schedule, rollup, cover etc. I also proposed the illustration made on the upper corner of the previous page.

ALEXANDRA BUTMALAI PERSONAL BRANDING /branding, logo design

Alexandra Butmalai is a cheerful, energetic, motivated young entrepreneur studying at Minerva Business School. She needed a logo that can represent her personality and that can be used on every digital form, whether it was going to be used on her website, further projects or social media. The logo is inspired by one of Alexandra’s photos and the main idea was to look sweet, bubbly, young and simple to match her identity. I illustrated this hand drawn icon-type logo and she incorporated it on her website.

IOSIF SZABO POETRY BOOK /editorial design, collage art To do this book design, I used the concept of collage art. The poet already had selected images for each of his poems, but I reinterpreted them and went on with the initial message even if I changed some of them or introduced them in a different form on the page. The book was printed in a very limited number.

Old School, New School was an independent educational event organized in Targu Mures for highschoolers and students. The event had three speakers and the only requests for the design was to be youthful and catchy so as to bring more participants.

accepted projects OBLIQUE BAND PROGRESSIVE ROCK BAND

/branding, logo, social media kit

Is a progressive rock band formed in Manchester. The name, “Oblique” resembles an unusual word in the English language, not so common, that can be easily seen as mysterious, vague and minimalist and yet with so many interpretations and conotations. Eventhough Oblique is a progressive band, the idea behind the brand is to inspire humanity and authenticity, while having a deep, spiritual or atmospheric mood, but in the same time epic and empowering, heavy, intense, dark and dramatic. The artwork was created for the single release and its event. Even if the event didn’t happen, the single will still be released on all music streaming platforms and Oblique has already officially launched itself on social media. The logo has two forms: short and long one and the materials needed were poster, social media kit (cover, profile photo, music streaming platforms cover).

SOHLER BAND INDIE ALTERNATIVE BAND

SOHLER is an indie rock and alternative band based in Warwick. The whole creative direction and merch artwork were based on their songs and group identity - catchy, bur profound, intense and bold, but friendly. Of course, it had to resemble this indie alternative aesthetic and the logo to be easy to be used on all sorts of materials, from merchandise to social media, posters etc.

GreenCluj is half an academic project, half a long term, personal and very loved one. It started as an academic one, but as we went on with it, we started to have more exposure and more opportunities as a brand that deals with sustainability in our city, Cluj Napoca.

As a team, we all contributed to the creation of the website and the social media management. The logo that I created had to resemble all the topics we are going to talk about in terms of sustainability and to suggest

the

idea

of

community

and

involvement. The whole branding direction was guided by me, from icons and illustrations to colors, typography, logo, social media templates.

/branding, logo, powerpoint This is a series of academic and events powerpoints. They are all a bit different depending on the context. The academic ones, about business are a category and the events ones - such as TEDx etc. are another category.

Smart Student project focused on rebranding, everything from logo and identity to website, social media and print. The logo on white background was redesigned to look more fresh, youthful, friendly, but in the same time proffessional.

The Smart Student is a platform for students to subscribe to the discount club created for them. It also has a presentation part and a volunteer subscription form. I wanted this whole brand to be cool and cheerful, with an out-of-the-box design that can catch all the attention and suggest a quality service/product.

The whole concept of the page cover was to suggest this `smart choice` by making a refference to a maze that leads to the best decision - to buy the discount subscription. The cover for the page was created in such way that guides the eye to the call-to-action button - on the official I created events covers, content for social

unapproved versions and proposals REART CULTURAL AND ARTISTIC EVENT

/concept, branding, print, logo ReArt is a cultural and arts event that took place in Targu Mures, Romania. The logo, the posters, the Facebook covers and the social media content were all used and approved. Some of the prints not, such as the totebag or the business cards. Because ReArt was going to be a mix of art exhibitions, workshops, concerts and shows it had to suggest exactly the cutural complexity of the event. That’s why I chose to make refferences, to mix textures and colors so as to show how diverse is going to be. Because it was all about arts, the logo also has a refference to the golden ratio Fibonacci’s spiral turned into an `e`.

Redesign for the packaging of an organic oil brand. The whole idea was to inspire the organic identity, to suggest a natural product and quality.

ANALOG MAGAZINE ANALOG FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY MAGAZINE PROTOTYPE /concept, print, editorial design

Analog Magazine is all about fashion photography on ďŹ lm. The content was selected from the internet, photos and text, but with a little research. The main idea in this project was the editorial design itself, an experiment of pagination, balance, creativity between forms, words, lines and paragraphs.

Showcase of the magazine - with pages, the cover and spreads. All black and white as it features the early fashion photographers. The idea of the magazine of to be a trimestrial one and each month to approach a different analog category - for example, fashion, then landscape, street analog photography etc.

academic projects POCKET TRAVELING TRAVEL ON A BUDGET APP

/concept, app design, UI/UX

This was also a school project in which we had to prototype an app of our choice. Pocket Traveling is a search based traveling app in which the user types in the budget desired for his trip. He gets results based on filters. This app is designed mostly for nomads and people who travel intensely, the ones who don’t have a schedule, only a budget. The app would work best if the user doesn’t select a timeframe for traveling, but only types in the budget so he gets the flight and the accommodation that fits his budget, different options, countries and dates. It was designed to make nomad traveling easy and affordable.

TRASH FASHION CONCEPT FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY The challenge was to nicely showcase these outfits entirely made out of trash. The outfits were made by different people, the whole creative direction was led by me.
