These are social impact organizations that are proposed, designed, and led by juniors and seniors, and participation is required of all current students. Academic Enrichment Activities Academic Enrichment Activities (AEAs) are optional and scheduled during Community Time. They will meet a minimum of eight times a year. Athletics Teams compete on a seasonal basis after school, with occasional early dismissals before the school day ends. All sports are a five-day commitment with 2 – 2 ½ hour practices a day, depending on the sport. Each sport will require some weekends. Competitions will take place throughout the season. These optional groups meet roughly once a month in two shifts so that students are able to participate in more than one affinity group. Affinity Groups meet either during Community Time adjacent to an abbreviated US Meeting or Advisory Check-In or during a 70-minute Cross-Divisional period. In the second semester, there will be an increase in Affinity Group time.
