Sudha’s Castillian journey has only just begun. Originally employed as a recruitment consultant with the Search team in 2019, she has already moved to work with our Labs team in post deployment talent.
A woman classically trained in HR; this was not a decision made lightly. I virtually met Sudha to reminisce about her journey and ask about advice she could share along the way.
Now a performance consultant, Sudha constructs efficient and reliable relationships with a myriad of Castille stakeholders to address their needs.
“A monthly call occurs with each Castillian as well as clients, to discuss any discrepancy and appraisal about their assigned project,” states Sudha. She aims to improve the Castillian’s meeting expectations with the goals set by the client. In this way, Sudha cares for any queries and difficulties from both candidates and clients.
When asked about her transition to an unfamiliar role one year in the company, Sudha explains that it was no easy feat: “My journey has been full of challenges with different roles.” As a consultant, she met with local clients, and her move with Labs meant she had to contact individuals from across the globe. “It was not an easy decision to change from recruitment to focus more on post deployment talent,” Sudha reiterates, but she nevertheless rose to the challenge. “I believe it has been one of the best parts of my career ‘till present,” she beams.
Sudha does not only adopt the role of a consultant, for she is also a mother to a three-year-old daughter. How does she maintain a healthy work-life balance between work and family?
“Proper planning,” Sudha explains, “I set up daily priorities to learn when to switch from the performance consultant cap to a mother.” She finds both roles rewarding and expresses her love in the unique experiences they each bring.
In diving deeper into her consultant experience, I asked Sudha her advice for those seeking a full-time role or looking for a new career path altogether.
“To start with, I believe one should love what they are doing as their job,” she advises. For Sudha, workplace motivation revolves around one word: “Passion. The motivation, willingness to grow, and success will come with time.”
This strong sense of support reminded her of a memorable experience she held with a client, who as she remembered, “Expressed his gratitude for working with Castille with the constant support provided to him.”
It is this motivated attitude that will push Sudha toward greater things in her career, and she knows it. “I believe where I am today is the result of a hungriness to learn more,” she asserts.
She is confident that in growing with the performance labs team, she will handle further important responsibilities: “Where I can bring my expertise to contribute to the success of Castille.”
If there is one thing Sudha has proven within her journey, is that if you work tenaciously towards your goals, you will undoubtedly find success.
