We at Castleton Farms would love to help you collect an array of individuals who feel more like friends than professionals, offering you the best wedding experience. From elemental design and planning to vendor referrals and budget management, we’re here to help guide, organize, and simplify your event. Let us serve as your assistant and host while you take in each moment, from saying yes to stepping into the getaway car as the new Mr. and Mrs.

Darla Walker, Executive Director

Darla has played a successful role in the event planning industry for over 20 years, beginning her career in the floral design sect. Since, she has designed and directed over 200 weddings, from smaller, intimate events to extravagant, upscale weddings. Being an event designer is not just her job, it’s her passion. It thrills her to do what she does. Her outgoing personality and ability to think outside the box make her one of the best of the best - but before she begins planning, she’ll need a Starbucks!

GREAT EXPECTATIONS // what you should expect CHOOSING YOUR VENUE Your venue is the backbone of your event. It sets the tone for your event and is the base for almost every wedding decision. The location you choose should reflect your personality and style. It will be your guests’ first and last impression of your wedding day. They might not remember the food they ate or the songs they danced to, but they will remember the location. Castleton Farms offers four different gardens to choose from, each unique from the other. Whether it’s the rustic Carriage House Gardens or the Tuscan-inspired Vineyard Gardens, the enchanting Woodland Gardens or the elegant Southern Gardens, each of our gardens are unique from the other and completely customizable to reflect who you are as a couple.

Once you become a Castleton bride, we can help you enjoy your event by minimizing stress and maximizing organization. In planning your entire experience, we will discuss your vision, your budget, your must-haves, walking you through your ideal wedding day.

FAQ’S // everything you need to know IS BRIDAL PLANNING INCLUDED IN ALL EXPERIENCES? Yes, full-scale bridal planning with our Executive Director, Darla Walker, and her team of event planners is included in all of our experiences. Also included is our devoted and experienced staff on property for the duration of your event.

WILL I HAVE THE WHOLE PROPERTY TO MYSELF? If you choose the Exclusive Experience, you are guaranteed to enjoy all 108 acres Castleton has to offer to yourself. If you choose the Day Experience, there is a chance we will book another wedding on the opposite side of the property.

ARE YOUR EXPERIENCES ALL-INCLUSIVE? No, you will need to consider additional costs for catering, rentals, florals, photography, entertainment {DJ, band, etc.}, videography, cake, invitations, etc.

CAN I HAVE A REHEARSAL DINNER ON THE PROPERTY? If you choose the Execlusive Experience, the venue fees for a rehearsal dinner are built in. If you choose the Day Experience, an on-site rehearsal dinner can be provided for an additional $500. Catering is provided by All Occasion Catering, at an additional cost, with the menu of your choice.


WHATS THE MAX CAPACITY FOR EACH GARDEN? The Woodland Gardens can seat up to 75 for ceremony and up to 75 for reception. The Carriage House pergola can seat up to 600 for ceremony, while the interior of the Carriage House can seat up to 250 for ceremony and 220 for reception. The Vineyard can seat up to 400 for ceremony and up to 300 for reception. The Bridal Pavilion {Southern Gardens} can seat up to 700 for ceremony, while the Southern Pavilion {Southern Gardens} can seat up to 200 {without purchasing additional tents}.

CAN YOU PROVIDE ME A ROUGH ESTIMATE OF WHAT I SHOULD EXPECT TO SPEND ON MY WEDDING AT CASTLETON? We typically recommend an overall budget of at least $35,000 for a guest count of 150. This is taking into consideration venue fees, catering, florals, rentals, photography, etc.

I’M READY TO BOOK. WHAT’S THE NEXT STEP? To reserve your date we require a $500 retainer. This is nonrefundable and cannot be applied to your balance. An initial payment will need to be made within 10 days of placing the retainer. Then the fun begins!


DO WE HAVE TO USE YOUR PREFERRED VENDORS? We are in an exclusive contract with All Occasions Party Rentals and Bangs and Blush for on-site hair & makeup. There are access fees to bring in an outside caterer {$2,000}, photographer {$500}, Videographer {$500} and florist {$750}. Otherwise, you are not required to use vendors from our preferred list. We highly recommend them, due to the well-established relationship we have cultivated with these talented and innovative professionals. Choosing from our preferred list guarantees a fully-customizable and streamlined approach to your wedding planning experience.

WHEN CAN I SEE THE MENU CHOICES? After booking with Castleton, when coordinating your Vendor Experience, All Occasion Catering will reach out to you with menu options. Based on what you choose, you will get to try everything at your tasting {YUM}!

WHAT IF IT RAINS? Castleton will always create a rain plan for every event. One of the many benefits of booking an Exclusive Experience is a built-in rain plan, meaning both of our covered venues {the Carriage House & Southern Pavillion} are exclusively yours to use as a back-up option.

A non-refundable retainer of $500 is due before the signed contract.

We can help you create a payment plan that works best with your budget.

The remaining contracted balance must be paid in full 30 days prior to the wedding date.
