Eutalloy LT 8400 Series Powders

• Specifically designed to extend glass mold service life • Faster application than all other self-fluxing powders • Low overspray for decreased material costs • Lower influence on base metal • Lower hardness range for easy filing and machining • Clean, dense, porosity-free deposits

Eutalloy LT Series Powders The Eutalloy LT (low temperature) 8400 Series are nickel-based, self-fluxing powders that were specifically developed for the protection and restoration of glass mold components. These powders contain special fluxing agents which improve fluidity, wetting and decrease the melting point. These special features allow for minimal pre-heating and rapid deposition speeds. The low melting point also reduces the heat-affected zone within the base metal. These pre-alloyed powders are produced by gas atomization which generates extremely spherical particles leading to dense, porosity-free deposits and minimal overspray, reducing clean up and finish time.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS: HIGH DEPOSITION SPEED Comparison tests performed with Eutalloy LT PE 8426 and a standard NiBSi powder show the Eutalloy powder application being almost twice as fast.

MINIMAL OVERSPRAY Chemical composition and particle size distribution have been carefully selected to limit adherent overspray, reducing clean up and finish time.

MINIMAL AFFECT ON BASE METAL Special fluxing agents decrease powder melting point, reducing the heat-affected zone within the base metal.

LOW HARDNESS RANGE Eutalloy LT powders offer the low hardness ranges which makes finish work easier. They are machinable by filing. Mirror-like surface finishes are easily obtained.
