EutecTrode 3026N ®
SUPERIOR SMAW ELECTRODE
The “N” Standard for High Strength Joining of Dissimilar Steels
Tough two-phase micro-structure Smooth deposits Easy to de-slag Excellent compressive strength High temperature properties
EutecTrode 3026N PRODUCT INFORMATION Outstanding Features:
Procedure For Use:
EutecTrode 3026N combines ease of welding with optimized mechanical properties. It has been newly formulated with the welder in mind.
Areas to be preheated should be free from oil, grease, oxides, etc. For removal of cracks and defects, use ChamferTrode® or ExoTrode® to form “U” or “V” preparation.
Easy strike and restrike properties, self-releasing slag and smooth, porous-free weld deposits are just a few benefits built into this new “N” version.
Applications: Earthmoving Equipment, Welding Wear Strips, Bucket Teeth Inserts, Leaf and Coil Springs, Cracked Chassis, Scraper Blades, Intake Valves, Joining Manganese Steel, Removing Broken Casting Studs, Facing Worn Gear Teeth

For joining applications, adopt suitable joint preparations according to the type and size of base material and service requirements. • Preheating will depend on type, size and carbon equivalent of the base metal • Steels with a carbon equivalent of up to 0.35%: Preheating is not essential, although heating up to 210º F (100º C) is acceptable. • Steels with a carbon equivalent between 0.35% and 0.5%: Preheating is recommended between 210º - 390º F (100º - 200º C) • Steels above 0.5% carbon equivalent: Preheating between 300º 480º F (150º - 250º C).
DO NOT PREHEAT AUSTENITIC MANGANESE STEEL. Keep it as cool as possible and use a balanced welding technique to reduce stress. Maintain a near vertical electrode angle and a short arc length. Adopt a balanced welding technique in order to minimize local overheating and distortion. Backwhip craters at the end of each run. Ensure that each weld is thoroughly cleaned and free from slag. Cool slowly.
B - Range (thin sections, min. dilution, low heat input) Size: 3/32” 1/8” 5/32” Amp: 45-55 65-85 95-110
