Fish in the sea
There are around 15,000 different species of ocean fish. They come in many different shapes and sizes. Some are as flat as a pancake, while others are long and skinny with no fins.
Fish are animals that breathe underwater using gills. They have a skeleton inside their bodies, and are cold-blooded. This means they stay a similar temperature to that of the water around them.

Different types of fish eat different foods. Some are seaweed-nibblers, while others are fierce hunters. Some eat tiny ocean plants and animals called plankton. Some feed on coral, dead animais, and even on other fish.
