about me I’ve been continuously working in the communication scenery. From e-mail marketing, to the production of creative content, social media management and graphic design, I’ve been constantly looking to improve myself and face new challenges daily. I think it’s crucial that we keep

being curious and never stop improving ourselves as professionals. During the past years, I came to know myself better as a worker and as a team member. Working under pressure has been a key element in many of the jobs I’ve had, which is why I had to learn how to work fast so that I wouldn’t get behind while still presenting the best work I could, each time. And I suddenly realized I’m very productive and I can stay motivated and accomplish a lot in my working hours. I’m also good with deadlines which is a plus in any position I perform.

Working in such a fast paced environment I really feel the need to have a work method. However, I try to find a balance between being true to my strategy but being flexible enough so that I can adapt it and change it according to the daily needs. My days are usually filled with photography, image and video editing as well as copywriting and, consequently, post scheduling. I’m currently using the software Later for scheduling and analytics. One of my favorite aspects of being a community manager is that I can really spend time studying my audience and adapting the content I create to reach more and more people. We live in a world that’s getting faster by day and there’s a growing tendency to make everything more generic. It’s a lot easier to follow a formula and produce average non-personalized content. However, I feel that the only way to connect with the audience is to listen and to pay attention to every detail. I don’t consider myself a perfectionist; I like to think I have my priorities straight when it comes to producing content and being attentive is one of them.

Every year Serralves
organizes the greatest and most inclusive event for contemporary culture in Portugal: Serralves em
Festa. In 2019, we decided to create a micro website
from scratch and I was the
one in charge of the project from the beginning. /projectmanagement

The micro website was meant as a digital programme which also had an app. I acted as a content manager, gathering all the loose information from every department: performing arts, music, museum exhibitions and all the educational service’s activities. Then I had some meetings with the programmers and the website skeleton was built. We all tend to forget the relevance of team work when we’re too focused in our own work. I had an amazing team which helped me make sure everything was ready on time and it really made me value this kind of companionship even more than I used to. We had less than two weeks to make it happen and we did it.
