SPORTS PROGRAMME SATURDAY 14 SEPTEMBER
@CaterhamSport
Dear Parents and Players, May I offer parents, players, staff and official a very warm welcome to Caterham School. I hope that there are many closely fought encounters today and that all pupils involved go away enriched by their physical endeavours. While striving to win is vitally important, it is not more important than the sportsmanship and friendship that make sport so special and such an integral part of the education that we offer our pupils. With that in mind I hope that all matches today are played in the positive atmosphere that they should be. I remind all of us that we are all responsible for ensuring that the pupils are supported at all times. Please let us all applaud good play from both teams, offer our congratulations to the victors but also acknowledge the efforts of the losers. I have no doubt that every pupil will give their all today and that each and every one of them deserve our praise and support. We hope that you enjoy the hospitality on offer today at Caterham. We aim to make you feel as welcome as possible and to give you the best possible experience of the school. Yours in sport, Matt Baggs Director of Sport

It is a pleasure to welcome all of the Shiplake College Players, Staff and Parents to Caterham for the third Rugby fixtures of this season.
This Saturday we are staging our annual U12 Versatility Tournament, where all of our girls will come together to make six highly competitive teams.
With our under Seniors and 14’s away, our 15’s will be hosting for the first time this year in what promises to be hotly contested matches.
The teams will battle it out to become Versatility Champions 2019, with certificates being awarded for winners, runners up as well as the most important of all: Team-mate of the Tournament!
As always, we hope the boys exhibit the true values of Rugby; Respect, Teamwork and Enjoyment. May they play to the best of their ability and enjoy every minute of it alongside their team mates. The very best of luck to all of those involved in today’s matches and for their seasons.
The tournament will start at 9am and finish at 11.15am, up on our netball courts. There will be refreshments for parents and packed lunches after for pupils.
Heads of Hockey Peter Friend and Robert Mugridge All the U12 and U13 will be training. We have been thoroughly excited about the potential of the young players and looking forward to seeing their development. Refreshments for parents will be available throughout the training in the Stephen Smith Room.

Supporter’s Code of Conduct At Caterham School we ask all spectators to; 1) Encourage players to learn the rules and play within them. 2) Discourage unfair play and arguing with officials. 3) Set a good example by recognising fair play and applauding good performance by all players. 4) Avoid belittling players for losing or making mistakes. 5) Accept the judgements of officials and recognise that they have a difficult job. 6) Support all players’ involvement and help them to enjoy the game. 7) Use correct and decent language at all times.
We love dogs - but please keep four-legged friends on a lead whilst on the School site and Hill Fields sports grounds. Unfortunately, where dogs go off-lead onto pitches foxes follow their scent and may mess the pitches. Thank you!
