SPORTS PROGRAMME Saturday 25 March 2017

@CaterhamSport

Dear Parents and Players, A very warm welcome to Caterham School. I hope that there are many closely fought encounters today and that all pupils involved go away enriched by their physical endeavours. While striving to win is vitally important, nothing is more important than the sportsmanship and friendship that makes sport so special and such an integral part of the education we offer to our pupils. With that said, I remind all of us that we are all responsible for ensuring that the pupils are supported at all times. Please let us all applaud good play from both teams, offer our congratulations to the victors but also acknowledge the efforts of the losers. I have no doubt that every pupil will give their all today and that each and every one of them deserve our praise and support. We hope that you enjoy the hospitality on offer today at Caterham. We aim to make you feel as welcome as possible and to give you the best possible experience of the school. If you are visiting our Hill Fields, please be patient as the building work on the new pavilion continues. Hopefully the next time you visit, it will be finished and you can enjoy our hospitality on a balcony overlooking the pitches. Yours in sport, Rob Clarke Director of Sport

A message from the Head of Netball Jaclyn Leach

A message from the Head of Hockey Robbert Schenk

This Saturday we have eleven teams travelling to Epsom College for our final fixture of the season. The depth of our girls is once again on display as we are fielding U14 A, B and C teams; U15 A, B and C; U16 A and B; and a 1st, 2nd and 3rd VII. This fixture is always very evenly contested. Good luck to all of the girls representing the school this weekend.

This week I would like to welcome Reigate Grammar School. This is the last block we will play before the end of term.

A special a mention goes to the 2nd VII who were runners up in the Surrey Finals this week. They played ten games and in a very dominant display were undefeated in the group stages, then they won both their quarter-final and semi-final, again in convincing style. The girls were then just unable to quite continue this run, losing the final to Guildford High 5-10. It was a fantastic day and the runners up trophy was a fantastic reflection of the hard work the girls have put in all season.

We had some amazing results from last week fixtures v KCS Wimbledon and I am hoping we will continue this into the last few matches. Hopefully all spectators will thoroughly enjoy the day. I am looking forward to see the final results. Good luck to all the boys and staff today.
