SPORTS PROGRAMME Saturday 5 May 2018
@CaterhamSport
Dear Parents and Players, I offer parents, players, staff and officials a very warm welcome to Caterham School. I hope that there are many closely fought encounters today and that all pupils involved go away enriched by their physical endeavours. While striving to win is vitally important, it is not more important than the sportsmanship and friendship that make sport so special and such an integral part of the education that we offer our pupils. With that in mind I hope that all matches today are played in the positive atmosphere that they should be. I remind all of us that we are all responsible for ensuring that the pupils are supported at all times. Please let us all applaud good play from both teams, offer our congratulations to the victors but also acknowledge the efforts of the losers. I have no doubt that every pupil will give their all today and that each and every one of them deserve our praise and support. We hope that you enjoy the hospitality on offer today at Caterham. We aim to make you feel as welcome as possible and to give you the best possible experience of the school Yours in sport, Rob Clarke Director of Sport
A message from the Head of Cricket Jonathan Batty
A message from the Head of Tennis Natalie Lomas
After the disappointment of all matches being cancelled last weekend it is great to finally get a block fixture played. I am really looking forward to how we progress individually and team wise. Our junior sides will be playing against our friends at Reed’s School, whilst our senior sides will play our friends at Seaford College.
Several age groups are out this Saturday in friendlies against Lingfield College. U12, U13 and Seniors are away. and the U14 are at home. This will provide a great opportunity for many to gain match play in a fun and friendly way whilst learning the etiquette and rules that go along with tennis. All we require is that long-lost sunshine!
Good luck to all the boys and staff involved.
