#With you all the way Messages of support and encouragement for
the CCW Graduating Class of 2021
Dear Graduating Class of 2021, Just so you know, we are with you all the way. We know your Year Eleven studies were significantly disrupted by two long periods of lockdown, and now your final year of school has been impacted by arguably equally disruptive periods of intermittent periods of learning from home. We know that learning from home has been tough and, for some of you, so much harder than learning at school. We know that you have missed your friends at school, sharing 18th’s, being with your friends in the VCE Centre, laughing at Mr Carson’s jokes and hoping the photocopier doesn’t jam. We also know that you are nearly there, and we are cheering you on to the finish line. We are yelling from the sidelines, “hang in there”, “you have got this”, “keep going”, and “you can do it”, just like you have yelled over the years to your fellow house members at House competitions. We (teachers, support staff, fellow students, CCW families, and the wider Cathedral College family) admire and respect your continued strength, persistence, resilience, adaptability, and care for one other.

______________________ My first class at CCW, and what a fabulous Year Six cohort you were. Hardworking, talkative, determined, energetic, competitive and LOTS of fun. As a teacher and parent, what a privilege it has been to watch your journey through Senior School to Year Twelve. You are leaders. Before you, there has never been a cohort that has had to ride the remote learning rollercoaster during two years of VCE. You will take this strength with you into your exams and beyond. You have the school community behind you cheering you on, and we cannot wait to hear what awaits you beyond exams. Make sure you come back and visit your old teachers! - Mrs Bonacci
Although we may not have seen your faces around campus, as much as past Year Twelve cohorts, your teachers sure missed your smiles and energy, but the content still had to be taught. Alas, you may not have been able to participate, in the usual annual activities, but we still hold high hopes for you, to attend your milestone graduation festivities. But know this, Class of 2021, Your impact on the CCW community stretches further than you may realise, to the younger students, in their eyes, you will always be fun, brave and wise. So although COVID-19 tried its best to ruin your VCE, soon you’ll see, although you may feel on some things, you missed out, for us here, we will always proudly consider you a valuable part of our CCW family tree. - Ms Potter
You CAN do it! Pandemic and all, the finish line is so close. You will all go down in history as being the most resilient and remarkable group of young adults in the history of VCE. The toughest two years of your secondary schooling will not only be worth it, but it will also be over! Hopefully, by then you can all get together to celebrate your successes. Good luck to everyone. We along with all your parents are so proud of - Toni Loughnan you all. You are so close to the finish, keep working hard and chase your goals, don't give up. - Shell Harrap
