“Metal & Fire Workshop”, is a project born to conceive a productive and creative space for jewelry. Walking along the road of metal transformation, we’ve been able to experience and enjoy the transfer of this craftsmanship to the rest of the people, having found a common place to share trust and collaboration. This journey firstly began as a way to discover the depths of the craftsmanship, and has rapidly been enriched by the personal growth on each jewelry challenge. This challenge makes us pay more attention to every sense involved: hearing the crushing behavior of the saw while we let control go; patiently observing and hearing the intensity of fire to increase self awareness; feeling the rhythm while nailing and becoming one with the flow; restlessly polishing until getting a mirror-like end to the jewel; and in the overall process delivering ourselves to give the best of our knowledge in every creation. Besides self development, this craftsmanship requires gentle respect towards each material, taking us to new techniques and re-discovering metal, particularly seeing copper and silver as living raw materials. This treatment allows us to create unique pieces with their very own stories and expressions. Red, blue and turquoise may be delivered by copper when exposed to fire or other components. Bright white adorned with organic textures is the result when silver is treated with heat. All these feelings, applied to different designs, are the reason why each one of our crafts is so unique and almost impossible to replicate. We could say that, our workshop being so full of tools, machines and materials, is a place not only for the transformation of matter but a transformation of people as well. Both of those components give life to jewelry full of character, history and beauty, enjoyed by their creators and bearers.

WORKSHOP SCHOOL
We shape a space willing to trade and spread knowledge, connecting people in the creation of jewels all the way through the know-how until the transformation of a raw material into something new. We accomplish this through an immersive collaborative work and self connection. We have a special workshop dedicated to companies and their “Team Buildings”, connecting their workers to the joy of the present moment and learning by firsthand the art of jewelry. These workshops offer the opportunity to learn about the history behind the craft, the chemicals that give form to each material, the design and composition of a jewel. How many techniques may the students learn? It’ll depend on how many lessons they attend. The workshop provides a personal bench, tools and materials.

Rebel by nature, a metal exposed to climatic changes will try to find its way back to the rock it came from, corroding and changing colors, engulfing itself in salts and minerals. The colorful salts delivered by this rebel nature are the Patinas, which we intentionally apply over metal in order to accelerate its life cycle. Going through different colorful stages, each process is unique.
