Element breakdown
The Shield
The shield associated with St. Paul typically symbolizes the spiritual virtues, mission, and enduring legacy of the Saint Paul.
The shield embodies the spiritual armor that St. Paul speaks of in his letters, particularly in Ephesians 6:10-18, where he metaphorically describes the virtues and attributes necessary for a Christian to stand firm in their faith.
Waves
The waves are a direct link to St Paul’s location overlooking Manly and the ocean.
The waves are also symbolic of the unwavering resolve St Paul maintained even in the face of adversity.
The Sword & Bible
The sword & Bible symbolises the spiritual weapon of the Word of God or the power of his teachings.
This symbolism is rooted in St. Paul's own writings, particularly in Ephesians 6:17, where he uses the imagery of a sword as part of the "armor of God." In this passage, he refers to the "sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God."
The sword for the logo is topped with a pen tip representing that knowledge and word is one of our strongest skills in life.
The Cross
In order to tie the past to the future and beyond, the celtic cross has been rejuvinated to show a new path moving forward.
A path in which both boys and girls can follow.
