What a way to start off the 2017 edition of THE HUNT female sale! This past year the sale group has had a tremendous run, and the cattle that have sold through this very sale have endured a great a amount of success at all levels of competition. The Simmental breeds influence on THE HUNT has been historically strong. This year is NO EXCEPTION! The strongest offering of Simmental and SimGenetic open females to ever sell. A stunning halfblood female to start things off and offers an overwhelming presence. Beautiful in her design, flawless on her feet and legs, and unmatched in dimension and capacity! The Broker sired females have endured more success than any other sire group in recent years. The percentage Simmental cattle had a dominating presence in the ORB division at the Fort Worth Stock Show because of their function, maternal strength, and real world application. We anticipate this female to be a big league contender, and we think you will certainly agree!

This daughter of Bullicious is direct result of this very sale. She sold in dam a year ago in a Broker granddaughter. Her disposition is priceless for a young, first time exhibitor. We would be retaining this female for Bodie but we lack 2 years before he’s eligible, so she is yours to run in the summer division of the ORB show and when you are done dragging her, we believe she will be a contributing producer.

SHIPWRECK

Here’s a purebred that is intriguing to us and definitely one that puts it together in the manner that we have been shooting for the last couple of years. She too is a lesson learned, taught by Barry Wesner, of breeding like kinds to one another. This mating was not based on injecting power; it was based on two fault free cattle that both could be stouter in their own right. Destin exemplifies the type, the kind that we want to make more of moving forward, good cattle. Cattle that are good footed, with adequate plus bone, definite muscle shape, good rib design, and fault free pattern and structure is all in on this good September purebred. Kenco Cattle Co purchased her dam in the 2016 edition of The Black Label, for $18500, and her sire is leaving a lot of good cattle around and a young herdsire by the name of 20/20 that will replace him. Generations of goodness and potential greatness stacked in her favor. A maternal sister was calf champion at the 2014 AJSA Summer Classic for the Ottensmeier Family.

The Berry Family campaigned a full sister to this female that stood at the top of her class nearly every time out; she too was a favorite of many. However, it’s my opinion that this lady of Chrome is much better. Yes her color isn’t ideal but her kind might allow her to be one of the best of the Purebreds in the offering. She is sired by the deceased Two Step and from a potently productive, young daughter of the Triple Crown stud, Broker.

Delany is a descendant of the dominant Wide Body sire group. 101A is a son of Wide Body that has been heavily used in the Foster Bros. program. The success that the Wide Body influence has endured great success. This female is big centered, flawless on her feet and legs, and has an ultra-maternal look about her.

The Sheffield family selected an own daughter of the potent 35Z donor two years ago in the 2015 Black Label Event sale, and now we bring you two maternal sisters to the famed “Carolina” female! That heifer has experienced a successful show career being the 2017 Grand Champion Simmental Female at the Fort Worth Jr. Show and recently was crowned Reserve Grand Champion Female at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo. Here is a unique opportunity to select your favorite of the three full sisters out of the dominant 35Z donor dam. This duo of females are sired by the full brother to the $480,000 valued W/C Loaded Up, which recently sold in the Embryos on Snow sale in Denver. 1143Y, the sire of these two darlings is a bald faced, good looking, stout made stud that stamps his progeny with the presence and eye-appeal needed to make it to the final drive!

SEALE SHOW CATTLE

Here is another maternal sister to the famed “Carolina” female campaigned by the Sheffield family. The “Ben” herd sire that walks the pastures of Lockney sires this female. This female is big ribbed, tremendous on her feet and legs, and has the look that her dam, 35Z, passes on to her progeny time after time. This female is destine for big things… will you be at the lead?

This purebred female sure has us excited about the future! Her sire, Nashville, was the high seller in the first year of this event back in April of 2014. Since that time, he has made his mark on our program, and many others across the country, with numerous champions and high sellers. And, this female fits that mold. Solid pedigree, structural soundness, and a great look make for a high caliber breeding piece for even the most discriminating breeding program.

This purebred Two Step daughter is certainly worth the drive to Grandview!! Her pedigree is rich with quality and consistency. Her sire needs no introduction as his progeny are high in quality and in great demand. With his untimely passing, there won’t be many more opportunities to own his progeny. Study the family tree, and then evaluate this female. There is a lot of promise tied up in this young lady!

A week before the centerfold SimAngus donor met her demise on Earth, we were fortunate to get two embryos by one of the better sons of Broker, WAGR Captain. As our fortune would have it we put both in, both stuck, and both were heifer calves. We could go on and on about what we think of their dam, but the truth is the oldest maternal sisters to these females will just be going into production this spring. We just believe that when you blend these proven genetics and mate them to proven genetics that the outcome will be what is desired. So, with that said we are offering full possession and 1/2 embryo interest in one or both of these females. If you have any questions please contact Jered at 806.983.7226

CK CATTLE CO

There is always that once in a lifetime female that seems to never miss, and in many cases she is known as a programs matriarch female. In this scenario, we bring to you an own daughter of arguably the most dominant breeding piece that the Simmental breed has ever seen! A direct daughter of the prolific Melody, a female that has generated High Sellers, National Champions, AI Sires, and donor dam females for many top programs across the country. Melody is that once in a lifetime type female that doesn’t ever seem to miss. Her most recent accolade came when an own daughter was crowned National Champion Purebred female at the 2017 FWSS. This mating to Profit could be her best yet, as a full sister to this mating sold as a sale highlight in the 2016 Hartman Cattle Co. Female Sale. Melody has generated over $1,000,000 in actual progeny sales at this point. Make a statement‌ and add a female with superior genetic value to your arsenal!
