WGL 17M has had the look since day one. Watching her develop on pasture this summer has been enjoyable with her eye appeal, thickness and style. She has been the first one on the radar for visitors with the amount of hip she carries while still hanging on to the right amount of femininity. What we appreciate the most is seeing a cow family we have built from the ground up and its something we are sharing with an embryo opportunity on this females dam WGL 17E and her grand dam WGL Baby Blythe 3B Lot 19.Come see the whole family on the 19th. Selling half interest, full possession.
323L is another Jack Daniels daughter that has a little extra twist to her pedigree with her dam being sired by ROMN Cadillac Jack. Her maternal cow family is full of sale highlights and longevity, with her grand dam remaining productive into her 15th year. She is a female that has that cow look already and has the making of a beautiful udder coming, her mating to Langston is one that has us excited to follow this one’s future. She does carry a smooth scab scur, tested hetro polled.
Power is the name of the game for WGL 112K. We have adored the stock we have raised from this cow family that started with Koyle Yellow Rose 37Y and carried on by WGL 10E, WGL 9F- two females at the fore front of WGL. 112K is a big and powerful female that is built right and we have had fun watching her develop. Her dam, WGL 9F, has an udder that you wish on every cow in the herd and 112K will deliver the same. Bred safe to SYES Hard Rock 65H adds another dimension to this successful and profitable cow family.
Henry Ford is a bull who not a lot of people got to see, a calf during the covid shutdown, which stole his show career. It certainly did not hurt his breeding career though. This female is picture perfect in her structure and build. She is setting up a great looking udder to follow in her dams footsteps. The Kaiser on her maternal side adds a nice twist to her pedigree. This female is backed by some outstanding females on both sides and has a bright future ahead of her.
12L is the only January born heifer we bred this spring as we shift our replacement first calf heifers to a fall breeding. Here comes another big performance minded female by Summit Ranch Hand P40 that has the right pieces in place. Her dam is a young hard working Zambuka daughter that goes back to the foundation Lakeridge group of cows that have produced some awesome bulls and females each year. 12L is not going to miss with her confirmed pregnancy to ROMN Lock Down 110L- Reserve Champion Limousin Bull that we selected out of the 2024 Black Hills Stock Show in South Dakota. Maternal strength and a cool pedigree twist for the future.
The ET sister to 301L is another promising brood cow prospect, she has the better set of EPD’s of the pair and is carrying an interesting service to the Homo Polled Greenwood Easy Money bull that is left his mark on the Boulder Land and Cattle herd where he was a walking sire. This homo polled long sided attractive female is one to needs a second look at if you are looking for a cow to raise your next herd sire.
A long, deep and homo polled calf, the lineage she carries sets the tone for the future. This stylish and correct TREF Hardcore carries some awesome WW and YW EPD to add to the impact she can make on a herd much like her grand dam and former matriarch of the WGL herd, Greenwood PLD Treffic 77T. With 3 direct daughters of 77T in the herd, the dam of 19M has a full and picture perfect udder and a disposition that is second to none; something we have admired about the Redwood females. Maternal possibilities are endless with 19M.
A dark red eye catcher with an awesome profile by a good young cow, 11M deserves some attention on sale day. Correct from every angle 11M was pulled in to the sale pen at the last minute, broke with ease and is just starting to hit her stride. The dam of 11M, Arcons Forget Me Not 11F, is a fertile cow that you can set your watch by at calving time being at the front of the early calving group.
Fruitloops is a female that quietly goes on about her business and raises a good one at the top of the pen every year, when I think of my ideal cow, this girl has a lot of the pieces that we look for. Fertile, good uddered, tremendous maternal strength while still being attractive and easy doing. Most people know her as the CLA poster cow this past year nursing that big strapping bull calf. The mating to Hardrock is one we can hardly wait to have arrive, our first crop of Hardrock’s is flat out awesome.
WGL 17E is a cow that is just hitting her stride. Her 2024 calf is an absolute knockout and sells as our lead off lot and her dam is featured as an embryo lot in this inaugural sale.
She is thick made, sound and complete daughter of Wulf Archibald that we really admire for her mothering ability.
Another flush we are confident in and backed up by SYES Hard Rock 65H.
